The Ultimate Guide to Umrah Based on the famous Book "Getting the Best out of Hajj" With Special Chapters on Umrah in Ramadaan & Visiting Madinah After Hajj, a Muslim considers Umrah to be the most significant worship that brings the opportunity of rewards and the blessings of visiting Ka'bah and the Prophet's Mosque along with other sacred places one wishes to visit, and try to feel the atmosphere present at the time of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and the hardships he had to bear while preaching Islam. During such a visit, a newcomer has to face many difficulties because of lack of knowledge about the rites and places. To provide complete details about everything, a pilgrim wants to know, first time this book has been compiled with utmost care and research so as to make it useful in every respect.
An amazing guide I recommend to anyone who is embarking on the Umrah pilgrimage for the first time. Not only does it provide you guidance on the Umrah itself but also gives you tips for day to day activity, foreign exchange and what to do/what not to do - it's a great survival guide :)
A good reference for one who wants to perform umrah. There are many books out there pertaining umrah but sadly they were "innovations" which has misled the ummah on the sunnah way of doing the ibadah. In fact, this book is suitable for whoever wants to perform it for the very first time.
It’s a good guide especially for your first time for Umrah or Hajj. However there have been a lot of changes to Makkah and Madinah due to covid so you’ll need to update yourself regarding that. Other than that it’s a good guide.
This guide is like a valuable resource for anyone preparing for Umrah, especially first-time pilgrims. Having detailed insights and eumrahpackages United Kingdom historical context can make the journey even more meaningful.
This book contains a wealth of knowledge and advice from a seasoned pilgrim. The author shares his experience with the reader, which ranges from geographical, spiritual, and logistical practical advice, plus more.
The rites of Umrah themselves are explained clearly, and many myths are debunked. So many topics are covered in great depth, such as what a women should do if she comes on her menses, what to do if the black stone is unreachable, what exactly consists of one lap when competing Saee etc.
On top of that, there is also advice on how to deal with large crowds (the trick is patience), how to exchange money, and information on the relative distances between Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah etc.
This book also contains reminders of why the reader would embark on this journey in the first place, and divulges in a brief history of Umrah.
The book is written in an easy, conversational tone, which makes it very easy to follow.
I cannot commend this book enough, may the author get immense rewards from his Lord for putting this book together. Ameen. A must read for any believer before they leave for Umrah.
Very helpful and detailed guidebook on how to prepare oneself for Umrah (the lesser pilgrimage). Not just from the religious and spiritual aspect but from the pragmatic aspect as well. Among its advise to first time pilgrims are, (1) bring lots of bottled water for ablutions and drinking just in case the hotel runs out of water (it can happen), (2) socks are important, and (3) invest in a moneybag.
The guidebook also has a special chapter on Umrah during the fasting month of Ramadan.
A must read for all Muslims who have yet to perform the Umrah.
This is the second time I am reading this book, and while it is a little dated with regard to planning, visas, and the flow of the haram (this is the 2005 edition), the book is still excellent in explaining Umrah. Not only is Umrah discussed, but the sunnah, hadith, and etiquettes surrounding the event are discussed and explained. This is a lovely book to read for great background information and one that is based on Quran and sunnah only. Five stars. I have also read and enjoyed the author's Hajj book in the past!
