Originally from Ohio, I now reside in Texas with my folks and little sister. I'm a born again Christian and I want to give all the glory to God.

I love writing! I tend to lean toward suspense, thrillers, the occasional wholesome Christmas story and "what if" scenarios. Such as what if you were to check out a library book and someone unknowingly left a document in the pages that contained life-altering secrets concerning the government. That sort of thing.

Aside from writing, I'm always reading. I love the classics, historical fiction, adventures, survival, fairy-tale retellings, suspense, and any and all things Newsie related.

I very much enjoy plays and musicals, embroidery, road trip adventures with the fam, retro arcade games, and board games. I'm also very interested in weaponry (archery, swordsmanship, etc).

Characters: I really enjoyed getting a better understanding of Mark (one of the characters from the first book in this trilogy). His experiences as a new cop (and a new FBI agent) felt so realistic. He even made lots of new-employee mistakes :)

Language: Clean.

Moral: This book didn't have much Christian content, but it had themes of courage and perseverance. I appreciated that Virginia included the Romans Road scriptures at the end.

Plot: Virginia's plots are always so creative, and this one's no exception. Plenty of funny moments, high stakes, and suspense kept me turning electronic pages. I could tell Virginia put in a lot of research to make the police/FBI details realistic.

Romance: Clean. This book didn't contain any romance.

Writing: Virginia has a great style. I could picture everything that was going on but never got overwhelmed by details.

Overall: Masquerade was an entertaining read, and I'd recommend it to those who enjoy Christian fiction, clean fiction, and suspense novels. I'm looking forward to reading the third book in this trilogy!

Another amazing addition to Virginia's Log Off trilogy! I have currently read all of her books, except for 2 of them, which I am hoping to catch up on soon and all have been outstanding. I will say that the Log Off series has been my favorite and I am very excited about reading the last and final book in the trilogy. Masquerade was focused on telling Mark's story (one of the characters in book 1). I thought this was an ingenious idea and I really enjoyed seeing the background of Mark before the big adventure in book 1. It gave me a better picture of his life, personality, and what to expect going into the last book. I really like Mark's character and am happy he had a standalone book dedicated to him within this series. As far as the plot and theme go, they were absolutely captivating. I read the book very fast due to my hands never wanting to put down the book. The mystery was, as always, very interesting and super creative. Since Virginia writes a lot of mystery themed stories, I really want to emphasize and credit her on making each mystery different. I think for a lot of authors, it is easy to naturally create mysteries that have the same theme or solutions, but I think Virginia does a great job of making everything so different and unique to its own story. Also, the connections in this book were great. If you read her other books, which I encourage you do so, you will know why! All in all, I recommend you read this story! It was amazing! :D
