Don’t miss the exciting conclusion to the Best-Selling series Legacy of the King’s Pirates!

Pregnant, in prison, and about to be hanged for piracy, Lady Gabrielle Hyde has lost all faith in God, man, and life itself. Unlike her wildly adventurous family, all Gabrielle ever wanted was to settle down with a good man and have a bevy of wee ones. Then how did she end up about to take her last breath at the end of a rope?

Captain Cadan Hayes despises women of noble birth. Betrayed by his wife and her lover, he spent five long years as a prisoner-slave on Barbados. Now, as a fierce and successful pirate, he longs to enact revenge on the man who ruined his life.
When Cadan discovers that Gabrielle carries the son of his enemy, he captures her to use as bait. What he didn’t expect was that the lady would be the one to trap him!

Ship battles, sword fights, kidnappings, and a hunt for lost pirate treasure send the couple on a wild adventure that could either grant them their hearts’ desire or end up in disaster for them both.

Swashbuckling adventure. Swoony romance. Danger and intrigue and a fast paced plot. It’s all here, folks. But the best of all is the message of hope and faith that shines like sunlight on the high seas. A satisfying conclusion to this piratey series!

A romantic swashbuckling adventure in this book. From the get-go, the action never stops, and I felt as if I was on the high seas in the Caribbean alongside these amazing characters. I have read all of the books in the series, and I have enjoyed them all. If you are looking for a fun, clean romance full of pirates and adventure, then this book is for you. Not to mention, the inspirational message that God forgives us and is with us sprinkled throughout the story. Oh, and the ending is ahhhmazing!!
*I was given a copy of the book by the author and this is my honest opinion.

MaryLu Tyndall wraps up her Legacy Of The King’s Pirates series in this amazing story.
Even though this is the 7th book of the series it could easily be read as a stand alone. Previous characters are mentioned, but they are explained enough that you aren’t lost and it definitely doesn’t take away from the story.
The heroine in The Resolute is Gabrielle Hyde, daughter of the legendary Captain Merrick. When we first meet her in this story she is in prison, pregnant, and left shamed all because of one evil pirate. Gabrielle feels that God has abandoned her and doesn’t feel she is worthy of saving.
In steps our hero, Captain Cadan Hayes. Cadan has been through a lot…..and that’s putting it lightly. His wife betrayed him, he lost everything he cared about, and he was made a slave. After all of that he is now a feared pirate and has an extreme dislike for ladies like Gabrielle.
There are so many great moments in this story. Just when you think one problem is solved, another one pops up! Such a wild ride to get to a lovely ending. Along the way we are reminded over and over again that God never leaves us, though his plans our not ours, they are the best plans!
WARNING….
Minor pet peeve and only because I’m a stickler for details. I re-read the entire series in order to prepare for this one. I would advice against that because some minor details have changed since the previous story. While it doesn’t affect the story, it was just something that nagged me.
My recommendation if you haven’t read the series….read up to this one…take a break, read a couple other books, and then come back to this one.

A Perfect Ending

Marylu has done it again! Taking you on a wild adventure on the open waters, deserted islands and impossible situations. She delivered everything I ever could imagine in this final book. Characters who are lost in their darkness and hit rock bottom with no hope to get out, go on a journey of self discovery and their relationship with God.

I can't recommend this book enough!!!

I am so hooked on Marylu Tyndall's pirate romances. Reading The Resolute was a breath of romantic fresh air, an escape onto the high seas into adventure land. Tyndall is a skillful novelist and a dialogue genius. She is witty and sometimes downright hilarious, but there is also a depth to her characters and stories that I love. No fluff here!

This is a review of, The Resolute - the seventh book in the King's Pirates.
The Resolute is yet another extraordinary book by the talented, Author MaryLu Tyndall . Oh, how I love her pirate books, as well as her others.
The Resolute is filled with adventure, romance, barbaric pirates, and intrigue. But most of all...faith, hope, and forgiveness. Marylu encourages me, and as you read this book, I pray that it encourages you as well. You will sense the Holy Spirit within the pages of her books, including this book.
Meet Gabrielle - a young and very beautiful daughter whose parents were Godly parents. Born and raised as a noble woman. But sad circumstances led her into a different life. A life in which she believed that God had deserted her. Gabrielle was ravished by the Pirate, Damien Allard , and because of his despicable act, she finds herself with a child . Held prisoner aboard Damien's ship. Alone. Frightened.
Meet Captain Cadan Hayes. The captain of the Resolute. His goal or goals in life? Revenge, death to the Pirate, Damien Allard. Treasure. Treasure that promised wealth and power.
Cadan learns about the beautiful, Gabrielle, whom he believes is a wench, and that she carries his enemy's child. This, he kidnaps Gabrielle, who was great with child, to become his bait to lure Damien. Will Cadan have his revenge? Will Gabrielle escape and be reunited with her family? Will her babe be kept safe? Will love begin to grow between the kidnapper and the kidnapped?
The readers who chose to read this book will just have to find out for themselves.
I will end this review with encouraging words. God will never forsake you. God will always love you. God will always forgive you at the place and season of your life. Oh, Marylu, I immediately recognized the guard behind Gabrielle.🙂 I recommend this book, and I promise that you will not be disappointed.

How does the Hound of Heaven Pursue Cadan and Gabrielle?

Master Storyteller, MaryLu Tyndall's, Historic Christian, Action/Adventure Romance, "The Resolute". It's Gabrielle and Cadan 💗 Story. It's also the last/7th 📕, in the "Legacy of the King's Pirates" Series. It can be 📖 as a stand-alone. But I understood the references to Gabrielle's past, because I'd 📖 the Series in Chronological Order.

God draws Cadan and Gabrielle toward each other, as He draws them towards Himself. Even though they each keep going from one danger to an even worse danger.

3 Scripture Promises came to my mind, as I 📖 the Novel. 1. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2Timothy 1:7) 2. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) 3. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:17)

I Highly Recommend You 📖 this Awesome, Engrossing, Poignant 📕, to see how God ultimately draws Gabrielle and Cadan into a Lifetime 💞! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Imprisoned for her association with a notorious pirate, Gabrielle is only saved from the hangman’s noose because of her pregnancy. She hated this child at first, because of the assault, but now she has come to love the babe she is unlikely to know. Once he’s born, she will meet her demise. At least she has been wise enough to keep her identity a secret. This way her shame will not become her family’s. Perhaps she deserves her punishment for her foolishness, her ignorance, and her willfulness. After all, having forsaken God and her parents, how can she truly expect help from them?

Assistance does arrive, but not in any form that Gabrielle desires. She isn’t the only one languishing in gaol, and when the pirate captain who engineers the escape learns the identity of her child’s father, she finds herself in another kind of a prison. This time aboard a different pirate ship, where the captain intends to use her and her child as bait to lure his nemesis into a trap to avenge past wrongs.

Cadan Hayes never intended to kidnap the woman, but her presence is a temptation he just can’t ignore. He has waited a long time to make Damien Allard pay for destroying his marriage and enslaving him. And detesting Gabrielle is easy, given that he despises women who belong to the aristocracy. No matter how much she tries to hide that aspect of her upbringing, he recognizes it all too well. Still, she is pretty, smart, and courageous. She knows things about ships and sailing that no highborn woman should. Plus, she likes his pet iguana and that feeling is mutual. What Cadan cannot abide is children, yet it isn’t long before hers is also a passenger aboard his ship!

Revenge isn’t the only item on his bucket list. He and his crew have one last clue to acquire to find a dead pirate’s hidden treasure. The problem is that they aren’t the only ones seeking those riches. Damien also wants them, and he’s underhanded enough to do whatever needs to be done to get what he wants – the treasure and a family, even if the mother is determined to keep his son away from him. Helping him is a traitor within Cadan’s crew, who has his own reasons for betraying the man who calls him friend.

The Resolute is the seventh book in the Legacy of the King’s Pirate series and relates the story of a daughter of the reformed pirate, Edmund Merrick Hyde, Earl of Clarendon. The story opens in 1696 in New Providence, but takes readers to other islands in the Caribbean as it unfolds. As usual, Tyndall entwines history with romance to craft a stunning tapestry that vividly depicts pirate life, treasure hunting, and wayward individuals who have lost their faith. Just when you think there is a resolution, she inserts another twist that adds greater complexity to draw us deeper into the adventure. Greed, love, fear, shame, hate, and anger are just some of the emotions we readily identify with. While some may find the frequent references to the sound of water against the ship’s hull a tad frustrating, myself included, the strength of this book is the memorable, multifaceted characters that Tyndall brings to life. While Gabrielle, Cadan, and Damien – a particularly despicable, but totally realistic villain – are the stars of this tale, the ones who steal the show for me are Soot, the gunner, and his pet rabbit, Hellfire. The Resolute is a fitting conclusion to the Legacy series . . . or is it? After all, pirates still haunt the seas.

I absolutely love this entire story line! For me to stay with a series that has this many books is a true testimony to the authors ability to tell a story and keep my attention. But enough about me…

The book opens with the heroine, Gabrielle, in dire straits. Her character is well developed and the author does a wonderful job of not only developing her character, but slowly bringing in other characters and developing them as well. You feel drawn into the story by their complexities, the issues they struggle with, and their inner dialogues. You can tell the author gave the story a lot of thought and prayer as to which direction every character should take and how each intersected with the other.

I know for a fact that this author sees her books as a way to reach many people with the gospel message. I believe that she once again has achieved this goal through her gifted storytelling. I truly had a hard time putting this down I wouldn’t say it’s a light read, but it isn’t difficult either.

Many of the concepts are things that real people struggle with to find resolution. I could definitely recommend this book to both believers and non-believers alike. The vivid storytelling will keep the readers’ attention while they are also reading about the truth of God‘s word.

I received a complimentary cooy of this book and all opinions are my own.

You do not want to miss this final story if you have been following the adventures the of the “Legacy of the King’s Pirates” series. You can hardly put it down once you start reading. You don’t have to have read the previous books, this story is good on its own.

As you read you feel as if you’re on the adventure too. On a pirate ship with scruffy pirates, a strong handsome Captain, staying out of the way of the sword fights and traveling the Caribbean seas. The diabolical villain that is after them has to be out witted if they can find out where he’s gone.

Cadan, who wants revenge for wrongs done to him, is thrown together with Gabrielle by a very strange situation. She is everything he intensely dislikes in a woman, but he has a lot to learn. Things are not always as they appear to be. Gabrielle, needs to learn that she is loved even though she has made plenty of mistakes and bad choices.

I love the Christian truths that are blended into this tale of two people struggling with their love for each other and with their belief in God. Each difficult experience and struggle further shows how the Lord watches over them.

I received an ecopy of this book for my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own. I recommend this book.

Set sail for adventure!

Pirates, treasure, revenge, love and redemption. In this final book of MaryLu Tyndall's series, Legacy of the King's Pirates, you will find complete satisfaction. She ties it all up in an exciting conclusion.
Grabbing you from the first page, this an adventure beyond all adventures. From one heart stopping chapter to the next, you'll find a damsel in distress, a villain, a hero out for revenge and so many thrilling moments. It will pull at your heartstrings one minute and give you a since of peace and reassurance the next.
I've never known an author who is so versed in the ways of the sea and pirates. While reading the Legacy of the King's Pirates series, I can totally imagine what it's like being out at sea. I feel like I've been physically aboard the ships featured in each book, like I've visited every port and witnessed those wonderful characters in action. I'm going to miss those characters, but they will always hold a place in my heart. You don't want to miss out on this adventure. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

Great ending to the Legacy of the King’s Pirates series. It fully immerses you from the first page. MaryLu Tyndall has an amazing gift of creating a story that can make you forget where you are. The story has well worded imagery that you can see in your mind while reading.
This story is the conclusion of the series, telling the story of Captain Edmund Merrick and Charlisse’s youngest daughter, Gabrielle. Always the perfect child while growing up, obeying her parents, and serving God, she feels God has abandoned her after a having some terrible experiences. The hero of this story, Cadan, is also running from God and uses Gabrielle as a pawn in his plan for revenge against the person that wronged him. Sparks fly in this great adventure! If you are a fan of MaryLu Tyndall, redemption stories, or pirates, this is a must read!!

This book is the conclusion of the "Legacy of the King's Pirates" series, and what a thrilling conclusion, indeed. The book can easily be read as a standalone novel, though having read all of the previous books in the series, it was fun to connect the dots when references to outside characters were mentioned.

I was immediately pulled into the captivating stories of Lady Gabrielle and Captain Cadan as their lives intertwined. Each fights their own haunting past, searching for what can provide true fulfilment in life. It was a true joy to read a faith-filled, exciting, swashbuckling story about characters who remind me so much of me: someone in need of the One far greater than I. The characters endure physical, emotional, and spiritual battles that get your heart pounding with anticipation with each page turned.

For a fun and inspirational read, I highly recommend this book!

The Resolute is an absolute must-read for anyone who loves historical fiction/Christian romance! Just like all of MaryLu’s other books, I couldn’t put it down. The book immediately pulls you in with its’ captivating story, and carries you through as you follow the lives of Gabrielle and Caden.
Though this book is the 7th in a series, it can be read as a stand-alone novel. I loved the references to the other books in the series though.
You truly feel like you’re experiencing the story right along with the characters, and the redemptive themes that all of the books in the series have is so moving. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done, God loves you and has a perfect plan for your life.
Buy this book and then share it with others! You’ll be so glad you did!

I absolutely loved it! But, I must say that instead of saying “Goodbye” to these wonderful characters, I’m just going to say “ until we meet again “ . For how can you say goodbye to a family, a cast of characters that you have grown to love? The doubt they faced about God, then the joy at seeing them return to their faith. The people put in their path that ultimately helps them in returning to their faith. The whole series , the hopes raised, dashed then raised again. Each character felt unworthy, but, grew to know that the King of Kings loves us all and will never forsake us. This final installment will have you turn page after page. The love, the betrayal and how God can make something beautiful out of the tragic of experiences. I will forever be rereading this wonderful series!

MaryLu Tyndall delivered another phenomenal story!! It all started with revenge, but with God's guidance and learning to forgive, can peace finally be achieved? You will have to read to find out. I enjoyed reading Captain Hayes and Gabrielle's story. It shows that although we cannot see the final outcome or understand the things we experience, God ultimately can see the ending and works all things for our good. If you like romance, battles, and faith filled adventure this is the book for you.

Anger, resentment, revenge, but God

Could it be true? Could God forgive such blatant sin, such anger, and still love, even a pirate? Aye, if they give themselves to His purpose, become His children and yield the future to Him.

Heart wrenching book full of adventure, greed, love and hope!

Such an adventurous conclusion to the series. I was overjoyed to see that there was another one in the series, but saddened it had to end. However, Mary Lu Tyndall has written yet another masterpiece. Filled with characters that are full of life and feel real! Such a toe curling love story and heart full of Jesus. Action, adventure and romance!

With a nod to "Pirates of the Caribbean" Tunstall takes readers on a journey with fallen heroines, vengeful heroes, battles and betrayals and sprinkles them with God's mercy and ultimate plan for the good of His children. This is my first book by this author and I'll be reading more of her stories especially in this series.

This book is hard to put down. The characters draw you in and the descriptions of the people, clothing, ships and the scenery make you feel you are there. Who doesn’t want to be in the Caribbean? The story is filled with drama, romance, and Christian themes, without being preachy or overbearing. I don’t understand all the terminology that goes with sailing a ship but the way MaryLu Tyndall writes you don’t really have to. I didn’t want it to end! I may even go back and read the whole series again. I recommend the series,( Legacy of the King’s Pirates) but you can read any of them on their own. Read it!

diverting

This was a swashbuckling, faith laced (yes it’s true) romp. It had an occasional insight into human frailty that made it interesting, I read it quickly and ignored some of the premises that could have made it unbelievable and ruined the fun.
