I’m set up on a date with a firefighter with a face to rival the gods, but with one look at me, it’s him who turns to stone. When he chooses flight over fight, the date goes down in flames before it even starts.

A clean romantic story with a few twists, turns and surprises along the way as well as humor and second chances. When Callum and Callie are fixed up by "The Matchmaker" on a blind date, a few things go wrong (like Callum thinking he's seen a ghost and Callie thinking Callum's having a heart attack), and the date ends before it even begins. After running into each other again by chance, the two share apologies, and a friendly chat replaces the awkward beginnings. But when Callie later discovers why Callum reacted like he did on their first blind date, will she let him explain? Can she forgive him for not telling her? Will a misunderstanding keep them apart? When danger begins to follow Callie wherever she goes, can they find out who's behind the attempts on her life before it's too late? I enjoyed the family interactions, clean romance with swoonworthy kisses, as well as the twists, turns and surprises in the story. Sweet Izzy and Callie's matchmaking sisters as well as her protective brothers gave the story depth and made it a fun read. I recommend "Matchmaking the Firefighter" by Madison Love, a new (to me) author. I'm looking forward to reading more by her! I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
Callie lost her twin sister and her husband while they were deployed as firefighters. Callie has her niece, Izzy, and received information that the biological father wants custody. Callie’s lawyers say she would stand a better chance of keeping Izzy if she was married. Her family has signed Callie up for a matchmaking service and her date is Callen, a firefighter who had spent a month getting to know her twin sister overseas. He suggests they become engaged thinking that would help her situation. This is a wonderful book with a little of everything. Callie is a fire investigator, trying to solve a case that looks like arson. The company stands to lose a lot if it is ruled as arson. The brother and mother of Callie’s husband wanted the insurance money which went to Callie. Now it appears that someone is targeting Callie with fires and there are several suspects. I loved the times Callie and Callum spent with Izzy and the family. Izzy was so cute as she interacted with everyone. I thought the support and love the family gave each other was admirable and made life easy for everyone. Great characters. This book is full of mystery and love, something for everyone.
What happens when a matchmaker picks your match and he looks like he has seen a ghost and runs? Callie was irritated when her arranged date seemed to be such a jerk. Little did she realize that he really thought he had seen a ghost when he saw her in the restaurant.
Callum is a hunky firefighter who has a date arranged for him by a matchmaker. When he was serving in the middle east, he lost some good men and women in a horrible fire. It has been four years since the accident but when he walks in to the restaurant and sees the woman he saw killed, he doesn't know what to do. When he realizes later that she is the twin of the woman he knew, he really wants to spend time with her and get to know her better. Then he offers to be her fake fiancé to save her in a custody battle for her niece.
This was a sweet, clean, romantic story with lots of swoon-worthy moments and curl-your-toes kisses. This is the first book I have read by this author and I don't plan for it to be my last.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I was really able to immerse myself in this story from the very beginning. The main characters were perfect for each other. But would you expect any less from the premier matchmaker in NYC?
Callie's large, close-knit firefighter family was a lot of fun to get to know. I love the way they accepted Callum into their midst. They treated him just like another sibling, as did Callie's niece/ward. It was also enjoyable to see so many characters from earlier books show up again as more than just a mention in passing.
There are at least three plotlines twining around each other. The arson plot. The paternity plot. And the romance plot. The author did a very good job balancing them to keep the action moving without losing sight of the concept that this is primarily a romance.
I received an ARC copy of this story from the author via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to share my review.
This is book 3 in the series and can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading in order due to other characters backstory. The MC callum is set up by a matchmaker with to have a date with Callie but when they meet he has a panic attack because he had knee her sister overseas where she died but did not know she had a twin. They end up clearing up the understanding and start fake dating to make it look better for Callie as a guy from her sisters past was trying to take her niece which she has custody of as her sister had died . I loved the close knit family and how someone is always there to help. Callie comes from a big family and you can feel the camaraderie between the people . I loved the nickname game between Callie and Callum . If you like fake dating , slow burn kisses only . Found family then this book is for you

Page Turning, Multiple Plot Lines, CleanRomance with Family, Suspense, and Chemistry
This was a well written book from a new to me author. Although part of a series, it was easily read as a standalone and I liked the characters enough to go back and read the earlier books in the series. Callie and Callum were instantly attracted to each other and willing to get to know each other, despite the multiple hurdles thrown their way, and the multiple disasters crossing Callie's path. I loved her large family and the way they rallied around her and Izzy, but also that she was a strong and smart main character. Callum was a great "match" for her although the actual matchmaking was really a small part of the story. I enjoyed this book, could not put it down and look forward to reading more from this author.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a new to me author but I was intrigued by the blurb.
Callie and Callum (well that illerteration was cute) had a blind date set up by a matchmaker. But callum took one look and freaked out and run. Turns out he had briefly connected with Callies identical twin who had died overseas.
When Callie and Callum meet again there are misunderstandings, mis communicatiosn but a good connection between them.
Callie is bringing up her sisters child and there are custody battles, some stalking going on and who knows what else.
All of these twists and turns make for an entertaining ride. The characters were well drawn and the plot was fun. I really enjoyed the journey here and will look for more byt this author.

Callie and Callum have such a great mystery. Callie’s twin sister and her husband were tragically killed fighting a fire overseas, she was an instant guardian to an adorable child and a widow at the same time. Someone has filed a paternity suit claiming her neice is his child. Her family feels she has set aside finding a new love long enough and hires a NYC matchmaker. Callum lost the love of his life in a fire years ago. His family has convinced him to at least start dating again. He is paired with his second date by a NYC matchmaker. He never expected to be dating a ghost. When they finally meet and explanations are made they end up in a fake relationship. But then it seems someone has put her in their crosshairs, trying to make sure she dies in an “accident”. Will they be able to discover who it is before it is too late?
Calidora (AKA Cali) is the twin sister to Isadora, who begins to fall in love with Callum before she is killed in an explosion. Finally, after four years and arm twisting, Callum agrees agrees to a blind date, where upon arriving, he finds Cali Isadora's twin, where he almost has a heart attack, believing crazily she is back from the dead. After a second try and an understanding, they decide to date when her niece's supposed father tries to claim the little girl Izzy, Cali decides instantly that she and Callum are fake engaged to stop further advancements from Simon the supposed father from wanting the same. It is one thing after another, especially when someone starts attacking Calli. This is an excellant book and a definite five stars.
This book starts out having several things going for it. First, I’m loving the series. Second, I love stories about firefighters and thirdly, having several sets of twins in my family, I am drawn to stories about them. You know things are going to get a little bumpy when we know Callum had dated Callie’s twin, but she is not aware of it. But this isn’t only a romance, there are some serious threats to Callie’s life, probably not a good thing with her family of first responders and ex-military. Madison Love will keep you guessing (and probably wrong) to the very end. I really enjoyed this book.
Callie is an arson investigator, whose entire family is somehow in the firefighting business. Callum is a firefighter who has seen his fair share. When these two cross paths, thanks to a matchmaker, and Callum feels like he has seen a ghost, their lives are forever connected. These two have to overcome their pasts while facing their futures, but will it be together or will they not listen to their hearts?
This book was a great introduction to the author, Madison Love! Definitely going to be reading more of her stuff!
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Callie & Callum's story is epically beautiful and split the focus between suspense and romance. I also loved the faith elements throughout the book and felt they added genuineness and authenticity.
If you haven't read Madison Love -- add this to your list immediately -- it's one of my top favorites for this month!!!
I loved Callie and Callum (and little Izza) along with their endearing families and cast of characters – sure to lead to more good reads. Their kindling romance is heart warming and the infusion of mystery as to who’s out to cause harm to Callie and who is the father of her young niece adds depth and much interest to the story. It’s a well-written, clean, easy read that may give you goose bumps, too – It’s romantic with just enough suspense to give it that “edge” and keep you turning pages…I received an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is my first time reading a book by Madison Love and I really enjoyed this story. Callie and Callum were drawn together by matchmakers only to discover they were connected by tragedy. Their chemistry made you believe in love at first sight and good, clean romance. I look forward to reading other books in the series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
burning for what you do This book has it all: suspense, sizzle, romance. I liked how the protagonists wouldn´t back down from their target to find out the truth, what really shocked me was how close to the truth about bending the law the book sometimes seemed to be. The growing romance between Callie and Callum and their determination to do what is right offered the perfect balance to keep me from despair about how low some humans are prepared to sink in order to gain their will.
Matching the Firefighter is book 3 in the Just 4 You Matchmaker Series by Madison Love. Callie has loss of her military husband and sister while the joy of raising her twin's child, Isadora. I liked how family and friends support Callie when Simon fights for custody of Izzy. Although this is a romance for Callie, there is mystery, danger, and a handsome firefighter. I found this book to he a very enjoyable read. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Callie is signed up with the matchmaking service by her family. She was given guardianship of her niece when her twin sister died. Callum is her first match. However, one look at her and he panics and leaves. What causes his reaction? Who is the father of Callie's niece? Someone seems to want Callie dead. Why? Where will this mystery lead?.
I received an ARC via Booksprout. Review voluntarily given.
Oh my goodness! I love this book from the beginning I was very hooked especially with the whole callum knowing Isabella! The plot twist was also crazy I never would’ve thought it was that person going around doing the bad stuff, so many plot twist it was so good! This book is a clean romance has very good comedy also has a happy ending that made me very happy and excited, definitely got to read more of Madison books!
This is a new to me author who I will be checking out. This book was fantastic from start to finish. Great story line and great characters. !sit back and enjoy this wo derful story about an arson investigator and a figherfighter and how they came to be.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a wonderful clean story about destiny. With a matchmaker, sparks, romance, family relationships, romance and the dangers of firefighting there's just enough conflict and sweet to keep the pages turning and make this a very enjoyable story. I received an advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Who wouldn’t want to read a clean novel about a swoon-worthy firefighter, blind dates, mishaps, and twists? If that is your idea of a fun story, then this book is for you. It’s an easy read and you’ll fall in love with Callum. Plus, the cover model is pretty hot, too. 😊

I am sad that this is the last book in this standalone series by Madison, however that just means the next book is going to be just as spectacular as this book was. I thought this book had everything you could find in a good firefighter book. Well-developed characters, passion, family, friends and a HEA ending that is just as sweet as the book is.
It's a beautiful ending to Callie and Callum's story as well as a beautiful ending yo the Just4You Matchmaker series. I've already read the Shining Knight Protectors series, which I also loved and binge read. I loved reading about the firefighters, the arson and fire forensics, and the love and loyalty in Callie's family.
She is a fire investigator who gets paired with a firefighter. It may look good on paper but it is not anything like that as he life is complicated as a single dad. Can they work through all their issues? Will love form? Will it last? See where they will take you
Following the story of Callum and Callie was an emotional roller-coaster. It was not overly spicy, but definitely had its heat (pun intended). This was one of those books that I had trouble putting down. I will for sure be reading this one again.
This is a story totally about family and how much you should value the one you have. The story is intense and succinct. Characters are well written and extremely fleshed out. You will feel the joy, love and heartache each member goes through. Well done.
Enjoyed the last book in the Matchmaker series. Callum and Callie were a great couple to root for. All the different twists made the action keep moving. Hope to read more stories with these multi-faceted family members.
Another wonderfully written book by Madison Love. Her books are more than a romance but are full of action, suspense, and mystery. This one has it all! Also I love the close net families that make the books in this series even more enjoyable. Callum and Callie's story is so special.
