Sweet by and By by Ramona Bridges is a very moving story about overcoming tragedy. Addie looks to God for help when she is faced with multiple deaths in a short period of time as well as a drunk, abusive husband on top of that situation. When it seems that God has finally answered her prayers and her life has finally turned around, will an unexpected villain ruin everything?

I found this book both sweet and heartrending by turns. The characters are very well drawn and are breathed life by the words on the page. By the end of the book, I wanted to meet Addie and the other folk of Golden Meadow.

This is the first book I've read in 2012. It was a sweet story set in the post-Civil War south. Bridges does a nice job of developing the characters. The plot had me pulling for good to triumph over evil as exemplified in the main characters. It is a good story of the power of faith

This novel is a gripping story of intense loss with a beautiful, redemptive ending. It reminds me of how Charles Dickens wrote. I felt every emotion the main character, Addie, felt and I loved how the author demonstrated Addie’s reliance on God’s Word in each situation she faced. This is an incredibly well written novel. I rarely reread books but I will reread this some day.

I loved this book!! Sweet story of love and the trials of life. It reminded me a lot of my the times I spent at my grandmothers house in Mississippi. If you like heartwarming stories about friends, family and faith, you will love this one.

Great Book

I have NEVER gave a book a review before, I could not out it down, this is normally not the kind of book I read but me and some friends were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama about two weeks ago, we stopped at this general store in Mississippi, her books were on display, my friend picked it up and told me she thought it would be a good read, I bought all three, I am so glad I did, just finished the first one now going to read the second one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. GOOD READING.

I loved this book enough I read it a second time! The people are easy to relate to & it drawns you in to a time when people stood beside each other & truely cared about family & their neighbors. Excellant
