Wonderful fantasy 📚reading
Due to eye issues Alexa reads to me, a will written fantasy Sci-Fi thriller novel with interesting and will developed characters. The story line is complicated, about relationships, family, and truth or lies racing to the conclusion. I would recommend this novel and author to 👍readers of fantasy. Enjoy reading 🔰 2021 🏰🐏😃

Great dragon tale
I really enjoyed all the twists and turns in this adventure and look forward to reading the next book in the series. I mourned for poor Xishi and Deshic too. But things have a way of working out toward good if we let them and allow for resolution.

Unique
Unique storyline with magic, dragonborn to drainage as treachery abounds while lives are intertwined throughout the take as innocent lives are affected.

A sudden and unexpected illness hits young Rane, she is and blessed to the Gods and ready to serve them. Her two brothers decide to go as "seekers" to the dangerous dragons for help on saving their sister. This goes against their religious beliefs, it is forbidden for humans to seek help from dragons. But they must save their sisters life.
Her brothers meet a dragonborn alchemist who has promised to help them. They face many dangers to seek the help they are looking for. Who can be trusted? Are the Dragons telling the truth? But they soon find that everything comes at a cost. They are faced with the hardest decision of their life. Exactly how far would one go to save their sister?
A fantastic adventurous/dramatic/fantasy. The love of two (opposite) brothers is strong. I liked the fact they are willing to take risks to save their only sister. Rane was very likable, a typical 18 year old, yet in a magical world. I love the originality of the story, I like dragons and how this story was told. I Highly recommend The Lies Dragons Tell to those who love fantasy/adventure and dragons.

This is a book of complex characters with a good mix of action, suspense, and drama. It has a slow build-up, but you will have your guts wrenched by the end. If anything it became too fast-paced for me. I would have liked to spend a bit more time in some of the intense emotions and in the heads of these vibrant characters.
I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of a nod toward the assisted dying debate. Explaining further would be at risk of spoilers, so I'll just say I feel it was injected smoothly. Enough to provoke thought without moralising.
The world of Kudare feels very real and solid to me after just this one book. The Humans, Dragons, and Dragonborn all have well realized, complex societies. I like that the non-straight characters simply 'are' with no need to justify their attractions. Racism between the Humans and Dragonborn is hugely relevant to the story and well portrayed.
I am looking forward to spending more time in Kudare, though also with some trepidation since I know there will be some painful emotions involved!

Deshic and Caden have to journey to find a cure for their ailing sister Rane and to save her life but why was she poisoned and Harlis is the family's butler of sorts who does what is asked of him . Xishi is Ranes but friend . but is there more to that story also Orzoi has a secret that can change the family's lives forever and Rashyss why his need to hurt Orzoi. And Adelane and Elden the parents or Rane , Dechi and Caden . And Caden is he really part of the family or an outsider .. also if the brothers find a cure will she be the same or forever changed .. And Navva who is their Guiden to the Dragon lands .. and who is the Elder Dragon Lord Zhrn .. friend or foe or in between and how does he know Xishi and her mom and their friend the Alchemist .. to find this and more .. buy , read and review and then read more by India Drummond .. until next read and review read on ..

The Lies Dragons Tell, first in the series, is an unusual story with a plot to keep you engaged. The Dragon-linked world created by Drummond is unique and features castes of the society in important relation to the plot and the highly interesting characters. I'll be reading the next in the series.

This book was not as good as her Caledonia Fae series. I am hoping the continuation of this series gets better. It wasn't bad but not up to my expectations based on the other series. The story was well told but not to dramatic nor "deep". The characters were a little bit flat.

Enjoyed it very much
Not as in dept as Caledonia fae series which I loved but still was a good read. I wish it was more descriptive so I could relate better to the characters and their choices.
