About the Book: This book is for designers and also for developers who know HTML, CSS. It starts with step by step theme building for Magento which ends with responsive theme for magento website.
Important Points:
1. This books is written in an easy and simple to follow language even a novice can understand it.
2. Book is a detailed tutorial which is given with easy examples.
3. I found new things like making responsive images which can help on many other responsive website apart from Magento.
4. A focus is given on making responsive cart and checkout which is a Important feature in Magento.
5. You can make responsive theme not only for modern browsers but also for the older versions of IE.
6. You can make any existing theme into responsive with the help of given guidance in this magento book.
7. It geared to the use of font face and some new advance techniques for the better experience in mobile and tablets.
Final overview: I have read many books on magento. Thus I can say this is a really a good and helpful for designers and developers also with the existing knowledge of HTML & CSS. Very simple and concise chapters appropriate examples and theory is given. So if you are a professional or a hobbyist, you can pick it.
