A simply splendid book! You can read from cover to cover, or just turn to any page, and find fascinating photos and information. I can't think of a better way to understand the long and complex history of India. And, at £30, it's a bargain.

The details and intention put in Indian art will always amaze me. Fuck the british museum but all the art in here was so cool
