I’ve read Larissa’s Waterford University Series and really enjoyed it, but this story I absolutely loved! Maybe it was the older characters and the storyline that really appealed to me, but I felt like Larissa really hit it out of the park with this one. The writing, the pacing, and the character development were excellent. It’s aptly named because I couldn’t stop reading and stayed up way too late finishing it.

Ugh why was this so adorable?? Larissa Hommes was a new to me author last year and I am obsessed with her Waterford University series. I was so excited for her adult romance and this one was absolutely so freaking fun.
THINGS I LOVED:
•The Transition From Enemies to Lovers: Enemies to lovers always has such great banter and it’s why I enjoy the trope. But sometime the transition from enemies to lovers can give me whiplash. I loved that in this story we get to see West and Halle form a genuine friendship with each other. Yes they were attracted to each other, but both of them had reasons for no relationships and I think that allowed us to see them just become friends for a minute and I enjoyed that.
•West: I mean I was swooning over West when him and Halle got together. Trying on the goofy hats “because that’s what you do when you’re into a woman” and just the overall way he was gone for her was so adorable. And the mini golf date…loved it. That honestly is my new favorite microtrope lol.
•The Pranks/Competitions: West and Halle start out as neighbors who do not like each other, which leads to some funny pranks. Then as their relationship changes it leads to some fun competitions. Just random stuff like who can guess the most coffee orders. I adored it and thought all of this was so fun. The pranks weren’t ridiculous or too far; they were harmless but funny. And the competitions were just a sweet way to watch their friendship develop.
This one was just so fun and I cannot wait for the rest of the series! Please please please go read Larissa’s books because they are so good and fun!

Up All Night is a lighthearted romcom with some depth! It is filled wonderfully with fun feuding antics, enemies to friends to more vibes, some sweet and tender moments, opposites attract, sparks of chemistry, reconciliations, and lots of humor! I enjoyed that Halle and West came from different backgrounds and perspectives than each other! Seeing them get past being annoyed and unable to stand one another, to not being able to stop thinking of each other was a delight. It was refreshing to see that both West and Halle could admit that they had misjudged each other from the get go. I also enjoyed their banter and how they naturally brought out the best in each other. The way they challenge each other and communicated was engaging as well as making things right with each other’s hearts at the dance recital was so swoony and just right! Seeing both West and Halle be able to reach for their dreams and figure out what makes them truly be happy was my favorite part of all! Also, the side characters and friendships were a nice addition. I look forward to more to come in this series and from @larissa_hommes 🙌🏻📚🤗

✨ My thoughts:
This is a total opposites attract love story but it starts as a nemesis neighbor situation.
West is very type A- he thrives on a schedule and loves going to bed early. His upstairs neighbor Halle is a free spirit and blasts music late into the night. So obviously they majorly clash. Pranks ensue as both West and Halle try to drive eachother bonkers. Though it begins with annoyances, the teasing becomes more and more playful as they get to know eachother beyond their opposite personalities.
✨ I really liked the chemistry between West and Halle. A lot of their dynamic focuses on the fact of West being too organized and Halle being too free spirit and both of them trying to convince the other one that their respective lifestyle is a better way to live. I did enjoy seeing the two perspectives.
✨ The characters sometimes felt a bit cookie cutter in their personalities of a planner and a free spirit- but overall this was a fun read.
✨ There’s some pranks in the beginning and little competitions/bets between the main characters throughout the story. It gives this book a lighthearted feeling. I did enjoy the backstories for both main characters though and liked seeing a little bit of depth there on top of the fun vibes in the set up.
✨ As I read it - I loved it more and more as the story went on. I enjoyed the connection between West and Hallie. And I’m really excited for Cannon and Demi’s story next.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the start of the Love At Night Series and can be read as a standalone, though the MCs for the next book are introduced so you'll be anticipating their story. The blurb is straightforward. Up All Night is told through Halle and West's pov and is a great story about two opposites falling in love.
Because of her upbringing and past relationships, Halle doesn't want to be in a relationship and is working hard to achieve her dream of opening her own dance studio. Juggling two jobs to make it happen leaves her tired and not in the best mood to deal with West, her neighbor who lives downstairs. Like her, West is focused on proving himself at work and has no time for a relationship. He follows a routine and finds comfort in it so, when Halle disrupts it, he doesn't have the best impression of her. As they're forced together, they get to know each other and realize maybe the other wasn't as bad as they thought. But, though their feelings change, they have to ask themselves if more than friendship is something possible between them.
Because they didn't get off on the right foot, their romance was a slow burn with enemies to lovers vibe. I enjoyed seeing their back and forth as they engaged in a neighborly feud. It was fun to read who would get the upper hand and how. Though Halle appeared inconsiderate, from West's pov, and West seemed entitled, from her pov, you could understand where both were coming from and I liked how Halle and West both came to realizations about each other. I liked how the way their relationship changed felt natural. I enjoyed seeing them go from not liking each other, to a truce, to becoming friends. Their romance is a spicy closed door one consisting of innuendo throughout the story, strong thoughts of attraction towards the other, one cursed word being used, and steamy make outs leading to fade to black. Aside from their romance, I liked their individual journeys and the hurt they had to work through to be in a better place for themselves and in hopes of having a relationship. I also liked the friendships that each had and can't wait to see more of those characters. Overall, this was a wonderful start to the series and I'm looking forward to the next installment!

It’s no surprise that Larissa is one of my favorite authors and that I’ve read all her books. When she told me her new book had adult aged characters I was super excited. I do love me a good college aged romance but something hits different when they are older. Maybe it’s because they are more relatable since I’m older 🤷🏻♀️ Anyways, the way this book starts out had me thinking I missed something. I felt thrown into a story that had already started. I am HUGE on character development and them meeting each other is always one of my favorite parts 😞 That bummed me out but of course I wasn’t going to stop reading. If anything I knew Larissa would make me root for these characters in due time. Halle was so much fun and I really related to her relationship with her mother. I’ve always felt like the adult in our relationship and my mom definitely acted a lot like her mom minus the mooching off me. West was so different than I’m use to reading when it comes to male main characters. He quickly grew on me and I loved how he was with Halle. The competitions they would get into were hilarious and had me smiling and giggling to myself. The dates they went on were super cute and really made me root for them (see I knew Larissa would come through) It was interesting to see how West’s other relationships didn’t work out because of how much he prioritized work but when he fell for Halle he wanted to make her #1 🥹 it comes to show you when it’s the right person you will do anything for them. Halle and West were the best!! I laughed out loud so many times while they were annoying each other. Being neighbors that were enemies was the perfect way to start this book off to me. I loved getting to see them go from disliking each other to slowly opening up as they began having to spend more time together. Halle was hilarious and I loved that she didn’t let West get to her with his grumpy moods. Talking through the floor vent was the best! 😂 I also loved when West found out that Halle was taking over Ben’s clients! I knew it was going to be good and it didn’t disappoint! Halle didn’t take it easy on him 😂😅 I loved that they had competitions with one another because it helped them grow closer, and getting to see it happen was the best. The planned and unplanned Saturdays they spent together were my favorites- it’s when I knew they couldn’t hide their feelings any longer and when I REALLY started rooting for them to kiss (talk about a slow burn). BUT when they did, it was electric and so so satisfying! 🥰
I loved that they had talks with their parents that were long overdue for both of them. I feel like those conversations really helped them move forward. 🫶🏼

Up All Night is a jaw-dropping, hilarious, swoon-worthy, captivating, sweet, endearing, heart-melting, adorable, and fun story! If you are looking for a lighthearted, fun-loving, feel good story for Valentine’s Day, you need to order this book right now! Whether you love romance or need a distraction today, this book is phenomenal! It is absolutely one of my favorite reads so far this year! I'm so obsessed with it! This book is enemies to friends to lovers, opposites attract, has lots of pranks, and is slow burn!
I absolutely adore West! Larissa always writes amazing books with phenomenal characters (I love her Waterford University series), but West is very different from her other male leads. He is a bit of a grandpa grump following his routine to a T, going to bed early,..... it is kind of adorable! However, he still knows how to pull off some fabulous pranks and has a very sweet side. I wouldn't expect to adore him, but he captured my heart! Halle is his exact opposite. She is extremely fun loving and down for anything. Most of the energy and excitement comes from her. I adore her!
All in all I am obsessed with this book! Larissa always delivers on characters, plot, and engaging writing! The pranks brought me lots of laughter and even some laughing tears! I absolutely love this book! Thank you for the advanced readers copy Larissa!

Their relentless rivalry adds humor and charm, making it impossible to put the book down. The initial hostility between them is full of witty banter and playful tension, pulling me in from the very first page.
The grumpy-sunshine dynamic between West and Halle was perfectly executed—one of my favorite romance tropes—and the slow burn only made their chemistry stronger. The progression from enemies to friends to lovers felt authentic and beautifully paced, making every moment worth savoring.
With clever humor, heartwarming romance, and well-developed characters, Up All Night is an unforgettable read. A fantastic start to a series I can’t wait to continue!

Overall Thoughts: Another FANTASTIC story by Larissa. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this author so far and this is no exception. It is probably the most playful story as well, though is does handle some deeper topics. It is a truly fun and entertaining read!
I love the pranks and banter and initial “hatred” between the main characters. The premise itself is fun (neighbors that don’t agree on, well, anything!) and it was executed perfectly!
At first, I didn’t think I was going to like Halle, the FMC. I’m absolutely a West (including the early bedtime, even in college) so I could understand his frustration! But as the story went on I couldn’t help but love her! She is strong and focused and SO dedicated.
West I loved instantly! Likely because I saw myself in his structured ways. All of the characters in this book were well developed (even the side characters).

There is so much I love about this book.. the banter between West and Halle, there determination to not like each other while warring with their undeniable attraction, watching each one of them work through their relationship issues and come to terms with the truth of their feelings. I don't see how anyone could read this and not love West. Yes, he has his jerky moments but when you get to know him and understand his family and work dynamics, you heart will soften towards him. AND once he faces and admits how wrong his actions / attitude have been, he owns it and works to be a better person. I really loved that. This truly is an adorable read. It is also book 1 in a series, so prepare for more fun ahead!
Note - this is a clean / closed door read with some mild innuendo and a couple of mild swear words
One Warning for those who prefer no physical intimacy outside of marriage. The epilogue ends with a scene (not graphic) that makes it clear the characters are in bed together and not just for sleep. If this is an issue for you, just stop with the final chapter. Honestly, as much as I love epilogues, the story works without this one just fine.
Note - this is a clean / closed door read with some mild innuendo and a couple of mild swear words
One Warning for those who prefer no physical intimacy outside of marriage. The epilogue ends with a scene (not graphic) that makes it clear the characters are in bed together and not just for sleep. If this is an issue for you, just stop with the final chapter. Honestly, as much as I love epilogues, the story works without this one just fine.

I loved this book by @larissa_hommes ! The book was longer than what I usually read (almost 400 pages), and it was a perfect reminder of why I love longer romance books. The depth of the characters and their pain and sadness they experienced through life that made them who they are today was perfectly executed.
I got very attached to both West and Halle! I was able to relate to them and seeing them at the end of the book, their growth and their realizations of themselves was beautiful.
The transition from enemies to friends to lovers was well paced and I was able to enjoy all aspects of the relationship. The pranks that started while enemies formed into competitions with each other while friends. The competitions were some of my favorite parts as well as West's inner thoughts.

A great book of two people, Halle and West, who are neighbors and Halle keeps West from going to bed at the time he has scheduled to sleep. The author makes the book exciting by taking you into the past of their lives as they struggle to achieve an agreement regarding West's sleeping schedule and how they reach their agreement.

If you're looking for a cute, fluffy read with pranks, banter, and competitiveness, you're going to love 𝑼𝒑 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕. I had so much fun with this one. Halle and West's competitions had me laughing out loud.

Ok this was the sweetest freaking book ever! It was so fun to see West and Halle go from not being able to stand each other to not being able to stop thinking about each other. Their banter was amazing, and they had such great chemistry!
There were so many moments when I was just giggling and had butterflies, and then even got teary eyed in spots. West is the sweetest man and oh so awkward at times which was hilarious 😂
If you love enemies to lovers, with lots of laughs, sweet moments, and pranking (😂) you need to pick this one up! This will for sure be a favorite of the year for me!

This was a cute romcom but it also had some depth. West and Halle both have some baggage either from current circumstances and/or from the past. Their feuding antics were cute especially once they both start to see the other in a different light. The not-dates were sweet and fun. It is a slow burn but works well for the enemies to friends to lovers vibe. I’m definitely looking forward to Cannon and Demi’s story!

What book is everybody reading because they cannot possibly be reading the book that I read. Two big fat babies live in an apartment building. One of them is a total glass bowl, and every time his neighbor makes noise upstairs, he loses his mind. The other one is the upstairs neighbor who instead of putting on earbuds so that the music doesn’t go everywhere in an apartment building, just turns it up louder. Who does this stuff ? Entitled people that’s who. Ugh.

Irritation to Fascination
The beginning of this story had me literally laughing out loud. The war between the neighbors Halle and West was hysterical. I loved the conversations and the irritating things they came up with. West's transformation and Halle's optimism and dogged determination continued to draw me into the story. It led to a beautiful ending.

Fantastic book
I loved this story. I couldn't put it down. West and Halle live in the same appartment complex and she annoys him. I laughed at how they tried to annoy each other, their competitions, the fun witty banter. I loved how they worked past their personal struggles. Such a great book, I really hope you love it too.

I loved this book — plain and simple. Larissa Hommes absolutely knocked it out of the park with her adult romance debut and nailed enemies to lovers!! The progression of West and Halle’s relationship was so natural and effortless! I love the way they challenged each other and communicated. I love how they supported each other! I just LOVED them so much. The tension, the banter, the pining, and fighting those feelings — gah, so good!! And Larissa knows how to write a swoony kiss scene. This book NEEDS to be on your radar. I’m already in love with this series and can’t wait for Cannon’s book.

Wherever Halle was, I wanted to be right there with her.
