I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book and I am even more in love with Bryan then I was after the first book in this series. I cannot stand Neil, he is so smug, and fake, and I loved the surprise they got in the kitchen, just perfect and I could so see Sean doing the exact same thing, they are alot alike. The whole thing with her friend Maggie is strange, I think to myself geez do all of the girlfriends and/or friends of the Ferro men have some kind of connection to shady people in the sex business? I also thought it was strange that Hallie did not know where her best friend lived, what she never went to her house??? I am sure we will find out what that is all about soon enough. I loved the scene at Friendly's restaurant, oh my gosh and then the duck, what is up with the woodland animals and wanting the Ferro woman, weird connections all around. I can't wait to find out what in the world happened to Hallie and Bryan all of those years ago, why is Jon so angry, and if she loved him so much why are they no longer together? This is exciting and nerve racking at the same time wondering and waiting. I loved the sex scene, so hot. When she mentioned about something she noticed when Bryan was sleeping I got a sick feeling in my stomach, I hope where my thoughts are going is wrong. The only negative if it is really that is I hate how either weak or stupid Hallie acts around Neil, not sure which it is but who comes home, takes care of business blindly (don't want to give too much away)and worse yet why doesn't she stand up for herself and cut Neil off when once again he makes a big decision about her life for her, not asking her what she wants, and earlier all she could talk about was how worried she was for Maggie and how much she needed certain things to set her and Maggie free and now he has once again taken over and she does nothing to stop it, then the slimy, transparent action Neil does at the end, really, man I hope she sees right through that, but she is different around him. Once again the author has me on the edge of my seat, having me wanting to yell, cry, and swoon the whole way through her book, I just love it, can't get enough.
