As a retired Marine, Shane Ryan has seen the horrors of war firsthand. And as the world’s greatest ghost hunter, he has triumphed against supernatural terrors beyond imagination. But in all his years of fighting, he’s never faced an enemy like this…
Stranded in the wilderness, Shane is wounded and exhausted from his last battle. He needs food, water, and above all, time to heal. But instead, he discovers that his war against a sinister occultist has only just begun.
Hunted through the endless woods by a legion of bloodthirsty spirits, it will require every last ounce of willpower Shane possesses to survive. And these deadly wraiths are not his only enemy. For as night falls, the plunging temperature may prove to be his deadliest foe.
But a lifetime of war has taught him one thing. The battle isn’t over so long as one man remains to fight. And if his enemies want him dead, they’ll have to venture into the depths of hell to claim his soul…
Ron Ripley is a husband and father surviving in New England, a place which seems to be getting colder every day. He grew up across from a disturbingly large cemetery where he managed to scare himself every night before going to bed. Mostly because of the red lights that people put in front of the headstones. Those things are just plain creepy to a kid.
Ron enjoys writing horror, military history and driving through the small towns of New England with his family, collecting books and giving impromptu lectures on military history to his family, who enjoy ignoring him during those dreadful times.
Shane Ryan at his usual sarcastic but deadly finest! The losses have continued to to consume what bit of humanity he has managed to retain, just how much can one man take before he becomes a killing machine, one that even his closest friends has turned to hate . Be prepared to cut out a few hours of time because I couldn't put it down...
It's a special world when Shane Ryan is featured in two excellent series at the same time. How does he do it? Enquiring minds want to know. In Soul Bound, Shane is threatened by the usual suspects (ghosts and assorted bad guys), but also the challenge of surviving a North Dakota winter and imminent starvation. He is left to fend for himself in a wilderness at the beginning of winter. This could prove to be Shane's undoing. Shane Ryan books never get old or boring. This one is no exception. I can't wait for more.
Wow what a story. Shane has to be baddest mf I have ever read about. Then the book ended and I was flabbergasted. I can't wait until I start the next book, but it will be over too soon. This is a great story and a great cast of characters, especially the dead ones. I recommend reading this to all that love fiction, ghost stories and adventures and suspense. I would keep this out the hands of the young ones.
Love it was wondering what had happened to Shane out in th woods. He survived he's a harass ghost killing hunter. I can't get enough of reading about his adventures in ghost hunting. Keep it coming.
This book had more grit of the Marine that Shane is (once a Marine, always a Marine). Shane finds himself in the Dakota wilderness. It’s winter and he has to use every survival skill he ever learned. I can hardly wait for his next book! Love Shane!!
Shane has been kidnapped, but will he survive with a broken leg and several living and dead, wanting him dead? Read this book! It's full of action and adventure, as well as Shane kicking butt!
All of these stories with Shane Ryan are just extremely fun and entertaining reads and hope they never end. I think this installment is one of the best in this series.
Additionally, yes it's nice to have living friends, but I must admit, Carl always makes me smile with his genuine concern for Shane's mental state and well-being in every story. I think everyone could use a dead friend like Carl and the world would be a happier place.
