‘Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.’ is something we need to do constantly and consistently. Teach yourself to treat both victory and losses with the same attitude and with respect and that becomes the finest form of conduct.
Transformation through reinventing is an inspiring read where Rajesh Nair shares the journey of ICICI Bank and Tata Group where transformation led by great leaders shaped the culture while adding growth to the company's business. Rajesh brilliantly captures the journey of transformation of these great institutions and how they give individuals an opportunity that help them excel. With a practical approach and intriguing writing style, it's an insightful read that helps readers understand different concepts of leadership, and how small habits improve our lives, from building a healthy work culture to creating a healthy life, Rajesh talks about creating multiple sources of income, having a right approach and attitude, and a lot more.
He adds some interesting examples with details which help readers understand the concept easily. While we discuss various structures of the organizations, he also explains the role that concept plays in our personal lives which is too interesting to read. It's one of my favourite parts of the book where he explains how to apply the concept to our personal lives. He keeps it light, easy and to the point for the readers to understand. Read it slowly and learn from this book. It has many concepts, but at times it becomes a bit heavy.
Another thing I enjoyed here is his attention to detail. The way he explains each concept in detail is commendable. He shares the corporate journey of the leaders, the strategies and how small changes created big differences when it comes to maintaining relationships.

ICICI Bank and Tata Group are pretty much household names, in regards to how almost every family has heard the name at least once in their lives. The journey of these firms are awesome but their response to certain decisions was inspiring. In 2018, ICICI Bank faced a 'crisis of confidence' due to certain allegations, and Mr. Bakhshi, the erstwhile COO of the bank headed the bank and brought it back up. Similarily, in 2017, Mr. Chandrasekaran was appointed as the Chairman of Tata Sons Pvt Ltd, and brought it to new heights.
The book has a gravity of its own, with the heavy information it holds. There are a lot of terms used, a lot of statistics presented in tabular or graph format. The author, Rakesh Nair really maintains the pace of the book even with all the other aspects of it.
The author discussed hierarchical changes in the firms, as well as how synergy between employees, a good customer service culture, and how working for a common goal helped ICICI Bank and the Tata Group.
The language Nair used was simple, inspiring and kept me hooked. The topics discussed were really interesting and from my point of view as a customer, they seem integral in a company for it to flourish.
The conclusion of the book is more of a "to be continued" essay that only shows us that the best is yet to come.

Though he made a lot of progress to address his job as, "Still with ICICI Bank but not at all still at ICICI Bank". In this book he has told us about journey of his life, the challenges he faced and the opportunities he got, and much more.
He has also talked about the different strategies which one can follow to become successful like delete, decongest, digitise to achieve excellence. The book is divided into thirteen chapters with a lot of information into it. I liked the way how the flow of the book is maintained and feels like a story, meant to inspire souls.
I learnt a few things for my personal career growth which made this a good read. It was much about the struggle of reaching heights by facing unusual circumstances and challenges. I recommend the book to the people who are aiming to become successful bankers in the future.
