The author returns to the universe of Lightpaths, his critically acclaimed, best-selling debut, where the human inhabitants of an orbiting space station confront a vast new intelligence so strange it defies the term, "alien." Original.
IMHO Mr. Hendrix has used his many degrees to concoct a buzzword-laden novel from heck. If the idea of reading a sentence like "...the upshot of of crypto-behaviourist ideas ... at least in academic circles, was a generalized denial of the actuality of individual consciousness" every few pages doesn't turn you on, then stay away.
There are times when ideas drown plot, characters and so on. A brave attempt at charting transcendence though I rarely care for an alien deus ex machina.
