Irish Vice (Diamond Ring: Irish Mob Trilogy #2) is a fantastic read! This is the 2nd book in the series. You don't have to read book 1 but it's also a great read so I would recommend reading them in order. I really loved the storyline in this book, the characters are great. I was hooked from page one throughout the last page. I only put this book down because I had to adult lol.. I am absolutely hooked and can't wait for book 3!!

Irish Vice is an Irish Mafia, Jane Eyre Retelling Billionaire Marriage of Convenience Romance story. Irish Vice is the second installment in the Diamond Ring Irish Mob Trilogy series. Irish Vice follows the intriguing story of Braiden and Samantha. Irish Vice in my opinion is a phenomenal addition to the mafia romance genre. While reading Irish Vice, I found that I didn't want to put the book down until I read the last sentence of the book. I saw slightly sad when I finished reading the book, however, I felt a slight sadness when the book ended on what seem to be a cliffhanger. However, I would most certainly recommend this book to anyone. I'm hoping Author Alix Key continues Braiden and Samantha's story in another book.

After bulldozing my way through IRISH BRUTE, I could not wait to pick up the sequel. Not just because it's one of the best mafia romances I've ever read, but also because it's a-- wait for it-- Jane Eyre retelling. And a damn good one, too, honestly. It's not exact retelling but it's one of those ones where it's close enough to the source material that I'm having a blast trying to figure out what she'll keep and what she won't.

As far as sequels go, this is one of the better ones I've read too, because not only is there intense development with the plot, the character and emotional development really takes off here, as well. There were some twists that made me gasp and cringe, Samantha learns to overcome some of her traumas to wrest control over her life, and Braiden (sort of) learns when to be soft and make compromises.

That said, this book is a LOT darker than the first. Towards the end there's a pretty graphic torture session and while I was glad it was not as visceral as it could have been, it was still hard to read. Braiden also does some of those totally outlandish sex scenes that feel like they're shock fodder for Booktok. In this case, filling her vag with ice and fucking her with a pool cue.

I still loved this book, though. It's beautifully written and so entertaining. I almost don't want to read the last book right away because it's the last one, but I NEED IT.

Book two is a scorcher

Alix Key
Irish Vice: An Irish Mafia Jane Eyre Retelling Billionaire Marriage of Convenience Romance (Diamond Ring Irish Mob Trilogy Book 2)

Estimated read time
[Kindle] 6hour 29 minutes

Favorite quote
“I’m a strong woman,” I say. “I put myself through law school. I’ve built a career. I don’t need a man to run my life.” “Of course you don’t need one. But it can be a hell of a lot more fun to have one.”

Overall reactions.
Book 2 starts off with a bang and goes out on fire hehe. Loving this book Trilogy this one was way more story and less smutt, but the storyline confirmed my suspension about who was selling out to Russo. Now we have two families mad at our couple, and everything for the Fishbowl is turned on its ear. Keep reading its worth it.

My favorite part is when Sam is a woman scorned and drives multiple hours just to yell at the outside of a house.

Over all reactions is let's keep going. Sam and Braiden need to get to thier happy ending. And little Aiofe, she needs to have a happy home.

Samantha is happy being married to her Irish Mob Boss husband. Braiden is a Irish Mob Boss, he is an alpha dominant kinky man who holds plenty of secrets when he was getting married he organised the priest and now he is becoming more and more involved with his wife that he has collard her what will happenif secrets come out. Samantha being submissive attracted Braiden, Samantha was able to still be independent but it's her secrets when they come out if it's fight or flight.

Can't put it down!

Brandon may be a big Irish boss but when it comes to Samantha he like puddy in her hands. There lots of thrills, action in this story, and I didn't mind a couple of people kicking the bucket, one deserved to die and the other one had all bite no bark.Im glad Fairfax was stronger in this story,he sounded like a drill sergeant and he got things moving and on top of everything. I can't wait for the next story and I know it's the last one of this series but I hooked!

I saw a raving review of this trilogy and thought I'd give it a shot. My review is not as raving, though. I'd say this an average mafia read.
I think the lack of feels and connection between the main characters made everything else fall flat. The D/s themes and scenes were lukewarm because they missed emotion. There was so much drama and hurtful words between them that even when they moved past it, I still didn't feel the love. Instead, it felt like the attraction was based on the need for control or to be controlled.

Leading on from book 1, straight into it. So much action and twists. I did enjoy book 2 even more. I throughly devoured continuing with Samantha and Braiden’s story. I’m sure book 3 is going to be just as good if not better again! From the secrets that come out, the betrayal, the revenge, the thrill with the twists and the cliff hanger at the end has me itching for Irish Reign. A series I absolutely recommend.

I liked the twist and turns this one had but that Fiona!!! Ugghh she was annoying!!

Sam had to deal with so many changes and Braiden just wanted her to get over them like they were nothing!

Give a girl some time to cope.

Still loved the dynamic of “I know you need to stop thinking so I am going to order you to stop and just obey” takes a girl from I will handle everything to I will let you lead and I will just follow along.

To be fair, I’m partial to the second book in a trilogy. The characters get more fleshed out, the plot line is usually faster paced and the world is built enough to not require too much exposition. This book is no exception. Well written with plenty of fun spice and lots of twists. Loved it!.

Irish Vice is book 2 in the Irish Mob trilogy and picks up Braiden and Samantha's twisted story. This one is something else! Secrets are revealed, Madden is still causing trouble and new twists are thrown in just for kicks. I love this story and it's characters! I can't wait to see how this author wraps up Braiden and Sam's journey.

This is book 2 in the series and it's the continuation of Braiden and Samantha's story. I couldn't put this story down!! So many secrets revealed, yet so many more twists and turns in this book compared to the first one. The spice was 🔥 which still includes the Dom/sub dynamic. It ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book to come out!!

I was incredulous. I wish I had taken the time to read the first book. It wasn’t as good as the original Jane Eyre. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone out of order and maybe not even then.. It’s too hard to suspend disbelief..

This was a nice continuation of the trilogy and it was satisfying to have a conclusion to the first book's cliffhanger. I felt like Braiden and Samantha's reunion was too easy in a way but I'm still glad they reconciled. I'm interested to see how the trilogy ends.

The saga continues with lies, secrets and betrayal. Who can be trusted? and there is more to come for Braiden and Samantha. The Irish Mob and Italian Mafia both as brutal as each other. Are there going to be any winners? A good read but not the end.

What a Thrilling and Suspenseful love story. Definite page tuner! The hits never stop coming and you don't know what to expect and come next into the lives of Samantha and Braiden. Remember there are some definite trigger warnings with this one on certain violent situations.

The story picks up exactly where Book 1 left off, with the tension already thick in the air. For fans familiar with Jane Eyre, it’s no shocker that Braiden was already married before meeting Sam—but where does that leave Sam? Surprisingly, unlike the original story, Sam makes a bold choice and decides to stay. Staying with Braiden seems like her safest option, but storm clouds are already gathering on the horizon. Madden continues to be an a$$hole, hell-bent on accusing Sam of being in cahoots with Russo with little evidence to back his claims. Then just as the dust starts to settle following Braiden’s revelation about his wife, Birte, there’s a new woman at Thornfield stirring the pot—though she’s not alone in wreaking havoc. Though Fiona is a thorn in Sam’s side, she proves to be a much bigger threat to Braiden. With so many threats circling the Fishtown Boys and Braiden’s empire crumbling around him, it's a wonder he finds any time to patch things up with Sam after dropping the marriage bombshell. You can’t help but feel for Sam as she navigates the emotional battlefield. Her body might still crave Braiden, but her mind questions whether he’s capable of keeping her safe; not to mention her growing feelings for Braiden. Even after moving into the pool house to create some distance, the scorching passion between Sam and Braiden refuses to be extinguished—because, let’s be honest, Sam still needs Braiden to take control. With increasing pressure from Ingram for Braiden to do as he’s told, a shocking traitor in their midst, and everything literally going up in flames, the cliffhanger ending leaves you breathless, desperate to know how Sam and Braiden’s story is going to end.
