One touch could ruin everything, but they’re helpless to resist.
When accountant Jay Townsend is assigned to shadow Kline Corp’s best engineer, he’s ecstatic. For the first time since he lost his wife, he feels like he has a reason to get up in the morning. But Tin, Dr. Christina Abernathy, is far from overjoyed. She’s bitter about the fact that her bosses have put this suit in charge of her project’s funding. This is what Tin has been working for her whole life, and she’s not about to let a guy ruin it.
But it quickly becomes clear that Jay isn’t trying to ruin her project. In fact, he’s encouraging her more than anyone else has since her brother died. Jay believes in her; Jay understands her, and everything she’s feeling for him in return is strictly forbidden. Because he has control of her project. Getting too close could jeopardize her career, and that’s something she just can’t risk.
Let Me Fall is an age gap, workplace romance book. It is the fifth book in the Berserkr Gym Series. It can be read as a standalone.
This book closes out the year as one of my favorite reads. It was very well written with just the right amount of spice. I was rooting for Tin and Jay to get together from the very beginning. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes spicey romance books.
I received an advanced copy of this book for free through book funnel and this is my honest review.
Received Let me fall as an ARC and it is an amazing story about (Tin) and amazing woman engineer who is a genius working on a big project with a group of engineers, in order to get funding they assign an accountant (Jay) to observe her work. As the time pass with them working together and they get comfortable with each other they start to develop feelings towards each other .. both having grief in common. Not able to act of their feelings because Tin will loose everything she has ever worked for. This story is so heart felt and nice it reminds me of those cool hallmark movies we all love so much. This story has slow burn, and some good amount of spice. I love the way it was written. Fun and fast paced. You will have to read it to see if they go get their happily ever after with their complicated situation.
Oh my goodness!! If you love the traditional hallmark love stories this book is definitely for you! The stories behind these characters though.. I love it, and I love that they are healing together!! This is the first book of this series I have read and I am definitely going to go back and read the rest!
I'm rounding up from 4.5 on this. This story is well written and well thought out. The story moves quickly. Tin is a mechanical engineer. She's young and brilliant. She's head of her all-male department and working on a huge project that needs funding to continue. Jay is a head accountant at Kline and recently widowed. Jay is assigned to shadow Tin to see if the funding should be approved. Tin resents Jay being around at first, but grows comfortable around him when she realizes that he isn't a threat to her work and genuinely cares about her and is impressed with her project. They flirt and struggle to hold back acting on their feelings. After a quick work trip where there's only one bed, they give in to their desires. When they return, they find out that they are still going to be working on the project together and have to hide their relationship. A jealous colleague rats them out and they both get fired. Tin wants to bolt from the relationship too, but Jay fights for her. He fights to get her job back and fights to win her heart. Of course there's a HEA. Overall, this is a wonderful read and worthy of a read. The spice is pretty good too.

Another great book in the Berserkr Gym series! Jay is an accountant for Kline and Tin is an engineer for Kline, and they now have to work together for Tin's project to get approval for millions of dollars and that depends on Jay. Tin is in a male dominated field and is super young compared to other people in the career, she doesn't have many friends so she is always working on her project. Jay lost his wife just about a year ago, so he works and hangs out with a few of his close friends that he relies on. When Jay and Tin are forced to be in the same room and work together for weeks, they start to realize that they like spending time together, they can't enter into a relationship due to her project depending on his approval and it could be seen as bias. Once the approval goes through and the board gives her project the green light, they enter into a sexual relationship. This age-gap, forced proximity, office romance hits all the marks. It has some spice later on in the book but the tension definitely keeps you interested.
Holy cheese balls, Batman. First off, let me say that I love, LOVE, strong females in male-dominated fields, and yes, that goes for STEM. Seeing Tin in her element was just amazing.
I adore B's stories here. She's unique and just plain awesome with her works. I've honestly adored what I've read, and this isn't any different. Maybe not as lighthearted as her others, but no less great! In fact, I read this one super-fast because there wasn't an element I didn't love. And believe me, there were some issues to tackle, as there usually is with grief.
Okay, so maybe some tears were shed, but it's still a fantastic read. And if you like strong females and males who will do anything for their love, grab it!
Great workplace romance with an age gap, forbidden love, some scorching hot scenes, and plenty of healing. Jay was the perfect boyfriend, made for the rather uptight and strict scientist Tin. I really liked the theme of a slow change in Tin and her recognizing that there is more to life than her ambition and work. And I also liked how Jay's journey as a widower was handled. I appreciated the fact that his late wife was not pushed into the shadows, as is often the case in this kind of story. Here it was handled with tact and realism. I didn't care much for the project or the whole corporate scene, but it did create a perfect background for the story to unfold.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Forbidden work romance? Age gap? Grief? Slow burn?
This book has got them all!
Jay and Tim work at the same company, but didn’t really know each other until they’re put in a project together. They acknowledge feelings for each other, but have some hurdles to cross before they can be together.
This story was my favorite of the series since the first book with Stella and Adam. What makes it better is that I’m not usually one that likes an age gap or a slow burn. But this book had me tapping my kindle to turn pages as fast as I could!
This story is one of grief and finding love… and boy was this book well-written and full of emotion.
Jay and Tin work together, but in different departments so they don’t actually know each other. Due to the funding of her project being approved by Jay they have to try and fight their attraction for each other.
This slow-burn spicy book is fast-paced and a book I didn’t want to put down. I loved both characters and the depth each of them had. I loved that you saw how hard Tin was working in her male-dominated field on top of being so young on top of her dealing with grief herself. On the other side, I enjoyed that you saw Jay and how he was still struggling with the death of his wife. From both perspectives, you saw how grief is handled by people differently and that it also has no timeline.
Overall I recommend everyone to grab this one and give it a read. While it is a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
Such a good story. Very emotional, intense, and inspiring. Jay and Tin are assigned to work together on a project, and feelings reluctantly grow. I say reluctantly, because both have suffered tremendous grief, and a new relationship was just never in the cards. It’s a story of self-discovery, letting go, and finding a forever love. Brilliant writing and wonderful characters made this a book I couldn’t put down.
adventurous emotional hopeful fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? A mix Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated 4.5
I really loved this book in the series. It was a pretty fast read but loved the couple. I loved all the others too but I really like Tin and her personality.
Just finished and oh my god I’m in love with this book! Jays and Tins story is absolutely amazing. I could not put the book down! From really hard lives before each other to finding love again for Jay and Tin to feel alive again! And then Jay giving everything up for her… ugh. Over all perfect!! 😍
Let Me Fall is the fifth book in the Berserkr Gym Series
I enjoyed this slow burn and emotionally packed story. Having both gone through difficult losses in their lives they are able to connect and build such a close relationship while healing. And what a way to show love and support that Jay does for Tin! A sweet happy ending!
I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving an honest review.
I thought this series already had a mix of everything, but then B. Randall must have said "hold my beer" because she wrote A STEAMY AF STEM ROMANCE!! As a real life accountant, I approve! Did I need to take a break and cry when I realized that the hot widow was the sweet husband from Book 3 - YES *still crying*. But at least this book is tender enough to soothe my aching heart.
Tin is laser focused on being the STEM queen of the universe. Her no-bullshit attitude reminds me of Christina Yang from the early Grey's Anatomy seasons. The bros in her department are either harassing, sabotaging or stealing from her. So when the bosses send an accountant to monitor her project, she's more than a little defensive. But Jay Townsend is the impossible - an actual good guy. And thank goodness because they could both use a break.
When Jay ends up on stage at the Annual Bachelor Charity Auction, Tin throws caution to the wind and GETS HER MAN! Or at least... she tries. I cannot wait for book 5!
I received this book as an arc, and it is a great storyline. It screamed Hallmark movie to me, and I loved every second of it. The healing aspect of this was a wonderful storyline that allowed the characters to grow together. Tin is such a strong and intelligent woman and Jay is also an accountant and works with her on this project, needless to say, the two catch feelings and it is just like I said a Hallmark movie. I will be reading more by B. Randall.
