EXPLORE THE WILD WONDERS OF THE GREAT AMERICAN WEST WITH THE AWARD-WINNING RENDEZVOUS MOUNTAIN MAN SERIES.

A Long and Winding Road
A decade has passed since Sam Morgan ran away from disappointments at home and joined the rough-and-tumble life as a mountain man in the Far West. Now a trapper, fighter, and survivor, Sam has endured it all—even tragedy.

When an explorative venture into California ended with his Crow Indian wife, Meadowlark, dying during childbirth, Sam thought he would die alongside her. Now, as his lover slowly dies of cancer, a distraught Sam is determined to find a new mission in life. As a search for two captive Mexican girls takes him deep into Navajo, Ute, and Blackfeet Indian territory, death follows close on Sam’s heels.

Dreams Beneath Your Feet
It’s 1840, and the world is a different place. With the fur trade all played out, Sam is on the hunt for other means to make a living. Deciding to return to California with his daughter, Esperanza, Sam hopes to start a new life—even though the great golden land holds harsh memories.

As Flat Dog, his family, and Hannibal MacKye, the half-Delaware Indian mountain man, join in on the journey west—where they hope to trade for a herd of Appaloosa horses to sell at a profit—they encounter a terrified woman on the Oregon Trail. But taking Lei Palua under their wing may prove dangerous when they learn she escaped the clutches of a ruthless gang notorious for terrifying Indian villages.

Dive into the heart of an epic tale set against the backdrop of the untamed American wilderness, where adventure, passion, and self-realization intertwine in a stunning conclusion.

Rendezvous is a continuation of the two previous two Rendezvous books. It follows Sam Morgan (Joins with Buffalo) and his friends. Sam has previously lost his wife during childbirth, now he loses his long time lover (Paloma Luna de Otero, owner of Rancho de las Palomas in Santa Fe) to cancer. He only sees his daughter at the annual rendezvous. At this time in his life the beaver trade has diminished greatly as the fashion is now slik hats, not beaver.

Sam and his long time friend Hannibal (Father a Dartmouth professor and Mother a Delaware Indian woman) decide to get his daughter from the Crow village where she was raised by Sam's friend Flat Dog and his Spanish wife. Sam has to sneak into the village as he had killed the chief's only son a few years back. When Hannibal and Sam get to the village he finds his friend Flat Dog and his family want to go to California also. This leads into more adventures and dangerous situations.

This book is well worth your time to read. It is written to keep you on the edge of your seat urging them on and hoping they survive. I really enjoyed ann three Rendezvous books.
