Bridget Bell has spent the past four years at Cedar University trying to find out the truth about where she came from. She’s so close that she can taste it. Figuring it all out during her senior year is what she needs to make her past decisions worthwhile. What she doesn’t need is for the hot, overly sweet hockey captain and his crazy best friend to somehow end up in her and her best friend’s lives— closer than Bridget would like.
Lane Avery has been avoiding the NHL since he was eighteen, but the star hockey player is running out of time to make a choice. When he convinces his best friend to get a new apartment with him, the last thing he expects is for the leasing office to mess up their arrangement, giving them a four-bedroom instead of a two-bedroom. The worst part? He’s stuck living with the girl he accidentally spilled his beer all over the week prior.
With Bridget’s search for answers and Lane’s impending decision, neither one can afford to get distracted— or hurt. They both try to steer clear of the disaster waiting to happen, but will they be able to maintain a safe distance under the same roof?

First I want to say that this is the 5th book written by Trinity that I have read. I really like how she writes, how she treats serious topics without being a heavy, gripping, anxiety-inducing read. I am still amazed at the author's talent and potential at such a young age. Related to this book I can say that I liked it from the first chapter, I don't want to give spoilers, so I'll talk a bit more generally. I hope you will read the book and only then you will realize how well written it is. It's a romance book, with situational humor, explicit sex scenes and protagonists so well-crafted that you can't help but love them. Congratulations Trinity on another 5 star book!
This book is EVERYTHING I love about a sports romance book. The two main characters are my favorite ever and both of their best friends made me giggle the entire book. So so good & the tension and love these two main characters have for each other is everything. SO IN LOVE & I’m so ready for the second one to come out… if I’m right about who the second book is gonna be about I need it in my hands like RIGHT NOW!
2.5 but i would actually devour this book, love the slowburn and lowkey funny but if theres no they’re getting with other people even not serious but the emotionally cheating even not to each other but eh……if it was happened towards any of the MC we would be pissed right so guess it’s unfair. so meh.
its me, im the problem bcs i cant with anyone choose to go to other people despite you still cant move on or like using someone else to “move on” or etc. dont play with people feeling like that. MC or not tho.
the last conflict ruined the whole thing for me. I hated bridget for being irrational, selfish, and foolish (I literally looked up synonyms of what I really wanted to say). she was honestly so frustrating that she ruined the story and the characters for me and in the end, I wasn't nor did I want to root for any of the characters anymore.
The slow-burning romance The Puck Arrangement by Trinity Lemm centers on college senior Bridget Bell and hockey captain Lane Avery.
For this book, I didn't really have many thoughts. I felt like all I could think about was Lane because of his attractiveness and the side characters.
The fact that Lane was a cinnamon roll hero was so adorable. Also, him being down bad for Bri was everything.
In all honesty, Bri and Lane complemented each other so well. I mean Lane was a captain dealing with his own trauma and Bri was the bookworm.
Though since the scenarios seemed to drag on and nothing was happening, things did get a little monotonous toward the end.
Even though I felt Crew was so immature, I simply know their chemistry and his redemption arc will be amazing, so I'm really looking forward to Crew and Kota's story.
*Thank you to the author, Trinity Lemm, for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.*
WOW!! This book was literally everything I could have wanted in a hockey romance. I could not have seen how much I would have enjoyed this book coming. The chemistry between these characters was 👩🏼🍳 💋
Thank you so much to lovely Trinity Lemm for this advanced readers copy!
I loved this book! The book starts out with a mixup causing the main characters Bridget and Lane to become roommates with two of their friends. The romance between Bridget and Lane was beautifully written. You could tell they genuinely cared for each other. Both of them had to overcome trials from their past traumas. It was great to see how they both helped each other.
If you like hockey romance then I definitely recommend!
I loved this book! It was such a sweet, heartwarming, slow burn romance between two great main characters. Both Bridget and Lane had such great backstories that really shaped them into who they are. Their relationship was beautifully written and I couldn’t wait for them to finally get together. The pinning for one another was written perfectly, and there were times in the book that their antics just made me smile. The banter between all of the characters was amazing and actually had me laughing. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the conflict at the end. I didn’t feel like it was totally necessary but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the book. I can’t wait to read the next one!
Thank you so much to the author, Trinity Lemm, for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for my honest review!!
I really really liked the adoption part in this book. It was refreshing to read something like that. Also the 2 boys, 2 girls appartement situation got me laughing out loud. But there also were a lot of tears in this book. I'm very curious about book 2, to read Crew his story.
It’s release day!!! You definitely want to add this book to your tbr!
I absolutely loved Lane and Bridget. I feel like their relationship was soooo so sweet and I love how they had such a good foundation of friendship. Bridget was such a sweet character who truly just wanted to feel loved and wanted, and then we have Lane who just wanted to love someone with his whole heart. The two of them were a perfect match!!! Also Lane is a respectful king who communicates his emotions and feelings and also knows how to use self control!!! I don’t think he ever lost his temper and it was REFRESHING to say the least. And I love how Bridget typically was a soft and quiet personality, but there were moments she was so strong and defended not only herself at times but she defended Lane and it was one of my favorite things about her! It also felt like they acted their age, and that I really was reading a college romance? Some college romances I feel like the characters act wayyy too young or like their middle aged men going through a midlife crisis. But the characters all really felt like their ages!!!!
There also was NO third act breakup which was relieving 😭 but there was drama of all kinds so it didn’t feel like it was all just happy all the time!
What I loved: - Lane and Bridget were perfect together, like they just made me swoon - Lane was such a cinnamon roll - Bridget had the biggest heart, but was not a pushover - the side characters!!!! I loved them all omg - their relationship grew gradually and it was so cute - Lane and Bridget knew each other so so well - Lane and Crew, and Bridget and Kota had such beautiful friendships with each other - Lane and Bridget were in each others corners no matter what, they were 100% a team!!
What I didn’t love: - (spoiler-ish) but both MC’s have feelings for each other but don’t want to ruin their friendship, so they both get in a relationship with other people. There was no cheating and nothing happened between the MC while they were with these people, but I just don’t like when the MC’s get together with other people! But this was only a short part of the book!!! - I also so feel like this was just a littleeee bit too long for a hockey romance. It was 470 pages! - there were also times I started feeling more interested in Crew and Kota’s relationship! Not because I didn’t like Lane and Bridget because I LOVED them!!! But because Crew and Kota were so intriguing and had so many funny scenes that I just wanted to know more about them!!!!
All in all. This really was suchhh a good book! I loved it and I binged it and I didn’t want to put it down!!! I’m so glad I got the ARC for this book, and I just know so many of you would really love this one!!
Tropes: - college romance - hockey romance - secret relationship - found family - forced proximity - roommates - she hates him to friends to lovers - slow burn - popular boy x shy girl
TW’s: - grief (MMC) - death of a sibling (MMC) - negligent mom (MMC) - adoption; in a loving family but searching for birth mom (FMC)
The first half fell a bit flat for me and I knew I was missing something. We constantly jumped from event to event and day to day and every time I was at the edge of my seat and I thought “yes yes yes now this will probably happen and I’m gonna lose my shit in a possitive way” the chapter and event ended and the next chapter was 3 days later & they never talked about that certain event or day ever again. So it took quite a while before I was really sucked into the story.
BUT (and this is a big but)
The second half was absolutely amazing. Everything I missed during the first half was made up for in the second half. There was tension, there was a lot of chemistry, it was sexy, there was a really good plot, emotional stuff happened, the slow burn wasn’t slow burning anymore, it made me giggle countless times, small jokes made me laugh out loud and there is a bar fight, that’s all I’m saying but that fight alone is worth reading this book! (Spoiler: it was kinda hot) And I absolutely LOVED the ending, it was the best ending and it was everything I wanted for the end of the story. I can’t wait for the second book and if I’m right about who this one is going to be about, I needed this book like yesterday. I’m so so excited about it!!
I’m forever grateful I got an ARC for this one and thank you so so much to Trinity for giving me one!! I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see what she’s going to write in the future.
If I can say anything for certain, it is that this book entertained me. I was never bored, not once.
The banter was immaculate - both between couples and teammates - and I couldn’t stop laughing. The tension was OFF the charts. The pining, the small touches, and oh my goodness Lane’s protective nature at the end. I was genuinely screaming and pumping my first in the air like I was cheering on my favourite sports team.
As much as this book was romance filled, Trinity has the ability to write depth into her characters. Even though I read the blurb, I felt completely caught off guard. And let me tell you I cried. Like a motherf*cking baby. Multiple times. When Lane asked her to be his girlfriend, when Bridget was reunited with her bio mom, when Lane confronted his mom. My poor heart couldn’t handle it. And screaming I did that plenty too. Bridget’s ex… you’re kidding me. That moment at the bar was my new Roman Empire. I was legitimately squealing.
Can I also just say that, that conflict at the end.. so silly. In my opinion Lane and Bridget were both in the wrong but I’m siding with Bridget. Thank goodness for Bridget’s bio mom. She’s the real hero. I did get a good laugh at Lane fixing his mistakes at the end though.
Thank you to @trinitylemmauthor & @greyspromo for the ARC
HOCKEY ROMANCES ALWAYS !!!!! i LOVED this book. I DEVOURED it. i truly hate that i was in a huge reading slump last month cause i KNEW this would have taken me out of it. I loved this book. i loved the characters, the banter, the fact that the MMC was so overprotective from the START. ugh. their chemistry and friendship was just incredible. i loved this book so much and if you’re a fan of hockey romance, please read this!!
I do wish there was an epilogue but i hope it just was that it was the ARC that didnt have it!
I absolutely ADORED every minute of reading this book! After receiving my ARC copy of the ebook I immediately dove in, finishing it less than 24 hours later. This was a fast paced, quick read in the best possible way.
I found myself able to relate to the characters right away and it brought my back to my own college town and experiences💗
Not once, but TWICE I found myself tearing up out of joy and I think I had a smile on my face the entire time the book was in my hand.
Kudos to Trinity as she did an amazing job with writing this story and I will be patiently waiting for the second half of this duet to be released!!
Trinity Lemm’s “The Puck Arrangement” follows campus star hockey player Lane Avery, and the soft spoken, school-oriented Bridget Bell. From their not-so-meet cute at their local sports bar where Lane accidentally spills his drink on Bridget during a rowdy night out, to the pair becoming unwilling roommates just a short couple weeks later. The thing is - Lane hasn’t been able to stop thinking of Bridget since that night. The two pairs of friends ~ Bridget & Kota & Lane & Crew ~ believe they’re moving into newly built 2 bed apartments across from their favourite college bar; however, fate throws the newly acquainted pairs into a 4 bed accommodation instead. And their first order of business? Ground rules - namely the “no sleeping with your roommate rule” : hence, let the sneaking around your best friends’ backs commence. The first installment of Lemm’s “Roommates Duet” is a flirty, fun, gut-wrenching & heartbreaking experience ~ I honestly don’t know how I survived all these emotions. From Bridget’s desire to track down her birth mother after a life time of feeling something missing, and Lane’s tragic past with the death of his twin brother- I think you were actually trying to destroy me. Although, the relationship between Lane and Crew takes the cake; I seriously almost didn’t survive. Lane and Crew have been best of friends since starting to play hockey together in freshman year. Lane: a shell of himself with the passing of his brother, and Crew, a struggling single child to viciously divorced parents. Lane and Crew’s friendship goes so much beyond that ~ they’re brothers. Their loyalty to each other is so sweet; and when all the secrets get spilled Crew literally guts me. Lane and Bridget’s relationship too is so healing for them both; from Bridget’s fears of abandonment & Lane’s healing to move on from the past!! I am still reeling.

I have been following this book’s journey from day 1 if not day 0. You could say I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book!
The dedication, the playlist, the numbers of the players and their names was absolutely fire and I loved the fact that it was the first thing we could read was sooo cute!
If there’s one thing I love more than anything about books, it would be short chapters. When the book is thickkkk with short chapters that’s absolutely mouth watering 🤤🤤🤤
This book was so cute. It felt like a big hug. This book is the equivalent version of Gilmore Girls - a cozy read you don’t wanna miss
I loved the friendships so much. Especially, the boys from the hockey team around Bridget and Kota. The whole captain vibe was giving too!
For such a cute book, A LOT was going on. Not out of proportion, no, everything fit in right, but the trauma and the drama in the same mix was just something I was anticipating and Ms. Lemm did NOT miss
I just wanted to say though that the writing felt a bit premature. It felt more of a teen-ish book, which it really is. The grammar and the tenses were a bit of a cocktail, but the book was so good that I didn’t really pay much attention to wording of things
Also, I’m a bromance girly. Lane and Crew are hilarious and soft and hot and sweet and 🥵🥵
The book was really what I was waiting for all this time. I love the cover. I love that the cover is purple. I love that I got to annotate this book with the different shades of the cover. Boy oh boy, I annotated so muchhh and I love it💜
The Puck Arrangement is a slow burn sports romance. I love a good sports romance but slow burn often is not my thing. However, Trinity Lemm executed this book so well because the banter and the build up of chemistry between our two MCs was so so fun that it didn’t feel like I was slogging through fluff to get to the “good stuff.”
Bridget goes out for the night with her friend Kota and, quite literally, runs into the captain of the hockey team, Lane. What will become an unexpected relationship is already starting off rocky. And then Bridget and Kota realize that their new 2 bedroom apartment is actually a 4 bedroom apartment that they have to share with 2 other people. Of course those two people would be none other than Lane and his bestie Crew. Needless to say, Bridget and Kota are not exactly excited about this arrangement.
Bridget finds herself attracted to Lane and vice versa. Of course they had already decided upon moving in that none of the roommates could hook up. That doesn’t stop Lane and Bridget from sneaking around (eventually).
I really enjoyed how Lane and Bridget were really friends first. They built a friendship and it grew from there. There were time throughout when I wanted to yell at Lane and Bridget simply because they knew they were good for each other but kept friend zoning themselves. Overall, I enjoyed the book but let’s be honest, I’m looking forward to Kota & Crew 👀👀
You know when a book just hits right and you wanna read it again right away? No? Just me? 🥹💞
This was such a fun book. I loved it. Makes me so sad it's over. Reading the words "The End." made me so sad. I don't want it to end 😭
This may be just a me thing, but a lot of the time the friends in books are just not it for me. I get annoyed by them and want to skip those scenes. But not in this case. And thank God for that! I loved every single character in this book. Lane, Bridget, Kota, Crew, their friends/teammates!....
Wahh Laneee. My sweetheart 😭 Why was he so perfect? Loved him and Bridget from the beginning!! Bridget reuniting with her biological mother.. so heartwarming. There was so much hurt from their past and I'm so happy they had each other. Reading their story from friends to lovers was everything to me.
The "hate" between Kota and Crew was so funny to read. I was dying of laughter. And Lane and Bridget's mission to make Kota and Crew confess was hilarious. Like watching a sitcom. I was crying laughing. Oh my God and when Crew slipped bahahahha and recovered by saying he called Lane "babe" DEAD ☠️
Loved how mature their conversation was (iykyk). Both between Lane and Crew and Bridget and Kota. Amazing friendships all around!!
This book taught me that I really like the accidental roommates to lovers trope. Thank you, Trinity and Grey's Promotion, for the ARC!
This was a fun story of two girls that are best friends and two guys that are best friends and teammates who are moving into a new apartment complex, end up having to be roommates. Bridget is pretty shy and quiet, wants nothing to do with hockey players after a bad experience dating one. Kota is her best friend, doesn't put up with crap, and insta hates Crew (he insta hates her right back). Lane is crushing on Bridget, and Bridget is crushing on Lane, but they can't be honest with each other because the first rules put in place is NO DATING.
I really liked the backgrounds of Lane and Bridget. They both have family related issues (not the same, but avoiding saying because of spoilers) and I liked seeing how these two become friends and support each other through their struggles. I can't wait to read the second book in this duology to get the other side of this story.
Thank you Trinity Lemm for sending me an arc! This book had my heart! It was so insanely cute! I knew this book was gonna be good from reading the snippet from the back but man it was it GOOD!! I absolutely loved Lane! He is such a cinnamon roll cutie pie! He was honestly so perfect! I loved how whipped he was for Bridget!!!! Man was in love from the moment he laid his eyes on her AND I WAS LIVINGGGG!!! He was so devoted towards her, he was such a good boyfriend they were so cute!! Bridget was a ball of sunshine too!! She sparkled in her own fabulous way!! I just adored them together. They fit so well, like a puzzle. Their chemistry was THERE, from the first encounter they had! I loved the banter especially between their roommate Kota and Crew! I had a feeling with them 🤭 but they were genuinely so fun to read! I loved reading the hockey aspect! I literally can’t get over Lane I love them soo baddd! I absolutely loved how this book was written. Trinity you did such a good job with this book and with these characters, I cannot wait for book two!!!!!!
This was such a fun read! I mean, who doesn’t love a hockey romance, a cinnamon roll mmc and forced proximity?!
Bridget and her best friend Kota are so excited to move into their new place for their final year of college. Thanks to a mix up at the agency, they’re now living with two guys, not just any guys. Hockey guys, the captain Lane and his best friend Crew. What could possibly go wrong?
Something I really loved about this book was the dynamic of the characters and not just the leads, their friends and family. Trinity has done such a fab job on creating such depth to everyone we meet. The banter, the chemistry, the found family - all of it was so perfectly pulled together.
The chapters were super short, like really short. Maybe even too short? Is that a thing?!
Overall, this was fab fun read with some spice. I am looking forward to reading book two in the duet 🥰♥️
🏒 hockey romance 🤍 friends x lovers 🏒 forced proximity 🤍 found family
If you need a lighthearted and cute hockey romance this one’s for you! This book also serves as the perfect palette cleanser.
Bridget and Lane were so sweet. This was a slow burn but I barley noticed it because they would always have cute moments together. I don’t typically like slow burns but I think the fact that they became friends pretty quickly helped.
When I say that this book is lighthearted, it is, mostly. There were some heavy moments but that didn’t weigh down this book that much.
I loved the romance in this book but I think I loved the bromance between Crew and Lane more. Their friendship is definitely one of my favorites!
The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that some ideas didn’t feel fully fleshed out. I thought Crew and his mom’s relationship was really interesting but then a while into the book it seemed kind of forgotten? I won’t critique too much since this was the authors debut, a really impressive one at that!
Thank you Grey’s Promotions for providing me with this eARC 💗
I LOVED Lane. His character was perfection. I felt his grief on a level that no one should. His character hit me in all the feels. Plus, he was protective, kind, and funny. A perfect book boyfriend ❤️ AND THE SCENE AT THE BAR WITH HER EX. Ummmmm 🥵🥵🥵🥵
This whole book kept me entertained, I loved the accidental roommates to friends to lovers, the other little storylines throughout the book. It was a cute and fun read with many emotional elements.
Bridget’s character was a bit of hit and miss for me. I enjoyed most of her character till the end. Her little “tantrum” about Lane’s decision felt very immature and childish 😬😬
I would definitely still recommend this read, I just think some parts were a miss for me. I deff will read book 2 though. I need more Crew in my life.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲: • College Romance • Hockey Romance • Secret Relationship • Forced Proximity • Friends to Lovers 🌶️🌶️
Tropes : - forced proximity - she’s wearing his jersey 🙈 - Slow burn - Ennemies to friends to lover
Bridget (mfc) hate hockey players. But she and her best friend will have to live with two of them. Both main characters has a troubled past and help each other grow. The story of Bridget and Lane was too cute,Lane is a super sweet character (the way he asked her to be his girlfriend ????? 🥹) I also really loved the banter between Crew and Kota.
The book was pretty fast paced (in the good way, the relationship does not feel rushed/forced). The chapters a super short which was surprisingly nice. There is always action, I’ve never got bored and got caught giggling bc the banter was honestly too funny.
I have being bothered by a few things which I’m never a fan of in the books but that is just personal preference.
Thank you Trinity for sending me the book as ARC. Now I can’t wait to read the book of Crew and Kota !!
I want to thank Trinity Lemm for giving me the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a fun quick read and I enjoyed it! The story setting and the characters were a fun time and I liked reading about how the dynamics between Lane, Crew, Bridget, and Kota changed throughout the book (I will leave out how so as to not spoil). I also thought that the book covered a lot of different plotlines in the story but it didn't feel overwhelming. I actually liked it because I felt like it gave the book a story. I enjoyed reading about Lane and Bridget but at times wish I saw a little bit more of the moments leading up to them being together I feel like it would've made their relationship even stronger.
