I just finished reading "Ludwig Van Beethoven: Musical Genius" for my "Road Less Traveled Project." This was a very interesting book. I learned a lot more about Beethoven and his life experiences. Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany in 1770. He was born to Johann van Beethoven and Maria Magdalene Keverich. He began his musical training at a young age. In 1792, he moved to Vienna, where he studied for a while with Joseph Haydn. Around 1796, he began loosing his hearing. He suffered a severe form of tinnitus, a “ringing” in his ears. His loss of hearing affected his ability to conduct and to perform music. Even though Beethoven was loosing his hearing, he continued to compose music. “Beethoven could read music and “hear” notes in his head. He did not need a piano or any other instrument to help him compose.” This was a really engrossing book. I would recommend it to anyone of all ages.
swear by the god, biografi ludwig van beethoven sang komposer besar yang melegenda(sekaligus orang yang paling menginspirasiku!) ini membuat mataku berkaca-kaca dan kagum atas kisah hidupnya:-') perjuangannya bertahan dari ketulian yang dideritanya patut diacungi jempol(bagi seorang komposer, pendengaran adalah"nyawa"dalam hidupnya!) ini tidak membuatnya terpuruk namun semakin gigih dalam berkarya.salah satu karyanya yang fenomenal ialah 6'th symphony berjudul"eroica" yang tadinya diperuntukkan kepada napoleon bonaparte, pahlawan revolusi kemerdekaan perancis.beethoven is one of WONDERFUL MAN in A WORLD;)
P S : hampir lupa, ludwig van beethoven merupakan orang nomer 7 dalam 100 orang paling berpengaruh didunia;)
