The dragons on Draig Island are not your run-of-the-mill kind. They’re something else entirely…

Things are hotting up on the island. It's Octane's turn.

For the best enjoyment, please read these books in order.

This story contains mature themes/language.
Also, be prepared for a ton of growls, dirty talk, and a hard-won HEA. Hulking, skulking, foul-mouthed, brooding dragons ahead. You were warned!

Consumed by Fire is the fourth exciting book in The Dragon Tributes series.
While each book can be read as a standalone, it’s best to read them in order to fully appreciate all the paranormal alpha goodness and delicious darkness they offer.
Nobody can refuse to be a Tribute but nobody knows what exactly a Tribute is. There are many layers to get to be a tribute but each layer is not shared until you pass each test. Now they just have to stay alive. But what if the worst thing is not on this island?
I love the adrenaline rush that comes from strong, sexy alpha males in protective mode paired with their mates.

As always, a captivating addition to the series, reads are simply wonderful with amazing characters
Who would have thought that when a red dragon’s fell into their hands they would discover so much about wats happening between the two groups and what and who was responsible for organising the attacks happening between the Red dragons and the Draig Island Dragons.
As always, the female dragon that had helped free the captured dragon by the name of Trinity but the Dragon currently asking all the questions and planning all of the attacts was octane and when he discovers that she is pregnant at the end of her second trimester decides to put an end to her if she fails to answer his questions, even implying that he will be keeping the baby for himself.
Trinity may have helped Kim to escape but there was no way she was going to allow anything to happen to her baby, she was by herself and knew that her husbands brother was trying to get his hands on her but she was never going to allow for this to happen no matter what it takes.
As she makes her final ditch at freedom it is apparent that there is no way she is going to allow anyone from the Red Dragons to gain access to her or to her baby. She would kill anyone that came between herself and the foetus growing inside her.
This is a simply captivating read and as the time spent between the characters promise I guarantee that you will love every moment of this book and will look forward to fu=ture books in this series.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

This one was another great one for the series. It was a little different in that both of the main characters were dragon shifters. In the previous 3 books, the male was a dragon shifter and the female was human.

Trinity follows some red dragons over to the island where the main story is taking place in order to find put why some of her people keep going into enemy territory. While there she becomes a prisoner of Octanes and he holds her captive in order to get information out of her about their enemies. Of which she is one! And spoiler alert, but she is also already pregnant by another male and Octane tries really hard not to find her beautiful and sexy.

However, while holding her captive, he becomes attracted to her and one things leads to another and yes, you guessed it, they enjoy some ‘Quality Time’. Octane stops treating Trinity like a prisoner and begins to see her as an equal and a potential partner. While Trinity continues to show strength, I felt confused or conflicted about Octanes personality. He seemed strict but also was breaking rules by keeping her prisoner. It all worked out in the end though and he proved that he had a great heart and was really a nice guy.

I can’t say that this one was a favorite out of the four books in the series, but I do like that this book follows a slightly different path and doesn’t use the same as the previous ones in regards to dragon male/human female rider. I also like that this book introduces a lot of different characters on the ‘rival’ island and I like that there will be another potential offshoot series and storyline. That is really exciting.

Just.... Bad. Soooo bad.

I tried to like this book. I really really tried. The first three in the series were okay reading. Light, enjoyable, with some cringe mixed in, but okay enough for light reading. But this one? Hooboy, I was wanting to toss my Kindle across the room by chapter three. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about the MMC, and how the MFC was even remotely attracted to him is not only unrealistic but a mystery for the ages. Dominant behavior is one thing, but the MMC was just a... Jerk. And everyone around him, even his boss, gave in! "You can't do the ridiculously bad thing to get your way!" "Oh yes I can cuz I said so!" "Ok!" It was just so bad on every level. Unfortunately, it turned me off from wanting to read the rest of the series.

I absolutely loved this story! This is Octane’s story and we learn a lot about him and his feelings. He takes Trinity, a Red captive to get information but he gets a lot more than he bargained for. Both these characters are so strong and absolutely perfect for each other! They both stole my heart! Just so sweet! So many twists in this that it kept me totally captivated and I couldn’t put it down! I loved what they decided at the end! This author makes you feel like you’re right there in the story and i love that! A fantastic and very enjoyable read that I very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

I was pleased to see more interactions between the dragon shifters from Mistveil Island and Draig Island. It was nice to learn that the shifters on Draig Island aren't as knowledgeable about those from Mistveil Island.

At first, Octane irritated me. While I understand his motivations, I feel he could have been kinder to Trinity, a shifter from Mistveil Island. After all, she selflessly helped a human escape from a shifter from her island who was about to commit a terrible act.

Trinity has a good heart and is currently pregnant and unmated. Although she is not treated well for reasons that Octane considers justified, she remains truthful. Eventually, they work through their issues, and the story ends with a happy ever after (HEA). Don't worry; there are some spicy moments included.

Please note: there is a trigger warning for an attempted sexual assault.

Octane is up next in this thrilling and completely unexpected story❣️As we know Draiger dragons and the Red dragons have been fighting for years. When a female dragon helps rescue and return a human/dragon rider back to where she needs to go, Octane takes it upon himself to capture the female, discovering that she is a Red and something he never thought he’d discover.

A great story, with quite a few twists and turns but as usual I loved the characters and I’m hoping we get more of the dragons😍 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️

A good read for Octane

This is book four and a good addition to the series. This book picks up right after book three where Octane forced Trinity out of the sky. Kim jumps in to intervene but Octane has an unfortunate history with the Dragons (Red). This close proximity leads both Octane and Trinity to places they never thought they would be. My only disappointment was at the ending and epilogue when we did not get a bit more of both sides Draigs and Reds main characters. Read On!

enemies to lovers

Great story and follow up to the previous book. This one has a bit of mystery you have been curious about. For all his gruffness octane finds something more to fight for vs holding old hatred. Trinity discovers not all dragons with load brakes are bad. Both discover that what they thought they know is very different to reality. It is great journey encouraging to keep an open mind a heart. Love this author and this is a great series. Ready to read the next one.

This whole series has been excellent but this one is a very strong read.
It goes into depth about the Red dragons on Mistveil island plus shows a much harder side of our favourite Draig dragons.
Luckily Octane isn’t getting it all his own way as Trinity is a wonderful character & this storyline is a very compelling read.
Once again it leads into the next book which also looks as if it’ll be a great one!

I loved this book! Octane sounds like he is a huge jerk, but he is really a great guy. Trinity is a red dragon be she is also a good person(shifter). In this book we really get to see that there may be a lot more to the story when it comes to the evil red dragons. Maybe they are just like everyone else, good and bad. This story is very steamy and also full of love and loyalty. Can't wait for the next one!

A little more info

This book actually gives us a little more information. We get a better idea of some things that are happening, but we are still left with questions. I think the next few books will unravel more of the mystery. I like the writing and characters. Despite his gruffness, I'm a fan of Octane's. There were parts of the dialogue that were annoyingly repetitive. I enjoyed the interactions with the old characters to create more depth.

3.5 stars.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this book. There were some things that I quite liked about it, and other things I didn’t. The characters, storyline and the romance were a bit all over the place, and I had to stretch my brain to accept parts of the story that didn’t quite make sense. I still like the premise of the overarching plot, but some of the execution isn’t quite hitting the spot for me.

Talk about redemption.

I had no idea how Octane would redeem himself after the way this book started. He was absolutely horrible. I wanted to neuter him. It took a long time before I started to warm up to him…but I did. This author is really good at that. Making you see all the rough edges before revealing the gemstone underneath. Can’t stop reading these because each story is different and well developed.

This was a great read, ML and FL were perfect together. The storyline was written very well. ML is one of my favorites and FL had a beautiful character. This was very exciting and we got our first real glimpse of Mistveil Island. Truly spectacular. I really enjoyed this book and had me really captivated. The ending where she had the baby was done to perfection. Totally recommend!!

it gets better

This book had a slow start and is extremely repetitive in the beginning. A lot of saying the same things over and over, sometimes in the same paragraph. Kim, from book 3, was more annoying than she was in her book.
Around half way, things picked up and turned into the most interesting story in the series so far. It was predictable but still had me on the edge of my seat. It’s a fantastic transition into the next half of the series, the Reds.

Very entertaining!! This one seemed to have more action than the previous ones in the series and I loved it. We get some good insights and information on the strange unknown island of mistveil and all is not what they thought. I’m very much looking forward to what happens next and finding out what happened to Octavia!!

Favorite so far

This book was my favorite in the series so far. A lot of questions were answered without revealing everything. The underlying theme of we’re more the same than we are different is evident throughout. Add in the steamy chemistry between Octane and Trinity as well as the subterfuge, and you have a book you cannot put down.

Avoid.

Not much of a summary so I read a few reviews and OH EM GEE.

SPOILER ALERT.🚨 🚨

Heroine was PREGNANT when she meets the hero.
This is an enemies to lovers trope.

PREGNANT with ANOTHER MAN’s BABY?
I get this is just a work of fictional entertainment but that’s just not for me 😩

Apparently majority votes this book will be worth your time.
(If you can overlook the preggo part) 🥴

Wow..I enjoyed this installment of the series! Octane was a great alpha male and "Little Red" was a good match for him. I want to know more about the Red King. I'm hopeful that the author will give us his story.

Awww sex!

This novel is entertaining! I just wish the author wasn't such a sex fiend. All her stories are based more on copulation than human interactions. Come on Charlene you can do better!!!
