Floating around at a party when her friend disappears on her, Liv tries to entertain herself.  Bella a journalist and Liv, a photographer, met in college and became best friends.  They moved together to San Francisco to pursue their dream.  Bella's brother, a former Navy Seal lives there too, and this is his penthouse they are partying in.  She is gazing around the room when her eyes lock with a very handsome man  who she feels may be older than her.  The two of them wander off to find some quiet space....which ends up being the wine cellar of all places!  She learns how to enjoy a good wine and is enjoying herself. Then the other shoe drops when she discovers he is Bella's brother.  Saturday morning, Alex picks Harlan up from his sleepover and they get ready to go visit Bella at her work.  Turns out they want to do an interview with him.   The magazine boss wants to shadow him through his day so he takes them to a place where he is trying to improve conditions for folks who are not well off.  They head to a new community center where hot meals are being served.  Alex quickly left for the restroom, and the girls were serving when a young man enters with a gun in his waist band and he is quite demanding.  He takes exception to something Liv says and pulls the gun on her just as Alex returns and disarms him.  Through the next few days the interview continues.  Harlan is quite keen on Liv's camera and what she does with it when Alex cleverly suggests he gets her phone number so he can learn about it more when she has time.  Yes, Alex does get the number from his son.  Some interesting things happen which leads them to a very close encounter! Alex does some of his problem solving expertise to help a family who had a sudden loss and a threat of the children of the family being taken away.  They need a home and some stability and Alex has a plan that will help a lot of people!  Unfortunately a gang lord doesn't like what Alex is doing and things take a dangerous turn!   Wait until you read the rest of it!  Susan C.

She and her roommate and best friend, Oliva (Liv) Montgomery are doing a story on Alex for Truth Quest Digest. Both work their Bella as a journalist and Liv as a photographer. Liv, not having met Alex before, was undeniably interested when a handsome man walked up to her at his party and asked if she wanted to talk. She didn't find out later, after he rebuffed her, that it was the one person she was there to meet, Alex.

Alex had a little baggage being a widow and now a single father. Harlan was adorable. You know I love me a story with a good kid in it. This one lives up to my expectations. This story is more of a best friend's brother and protector book. The surprise pregnancy actually gets put in the back burner with everything else that is going on. I really enjoyed that. Sometimes surprise pregnancies tend to take over the story. This one had a nice and robust storyline with a surprise pregnancy thrown in as the icing. It did not take away from the actual storyline but rather added to it.

Good could've been better

There are good and bad things about this book. I'm not sure if the author is well published but this book needed to be edited again with alot of vocab issues. There were either words missing, miss placed words, words that didn't make sense in the sentence. By the end it just got a bit annoying.

We also didn't get told alot of details about characters like Olivia's age. There was also alot of detail about things or events or conversations but then later in the book when the pregnancy came about we skipped months ahead. We missed so many important things that a writer in this genre should write about. So many things skipped over or completely omitted when other things weren't.

I read it till the end and it kept me reading and there was a bit of action and the scenes were nice but I just wish I got those important parts in the story that we missed so that it would be a higher rating.

Liv is instantly attracted to Henry right from the first time she sees him, not realising that he is her best-friends brother.
Henry is a kind-hearted billionaire who will do anything to help people in need, he is a shy widower with a 7-year-old son to look after.
Henry’s sister, Bella, is spoilt, there is no other word for her behaviour to Liv when she finds out she has started dating her brother, calling her a gold-digger and throwing her out: she is unreasonable and acting like a child whose favourite toy has been taken away.
The relationship between Liv and Henry progresses very slowly due to her hesitation, a result of a past relationship she had and how it ended. Watching them unravel their relationship while dealing with her friends’ hostility, and coping with a danger to them all, made this a great read.

Off Limits Billionaire Protector by Lexi Landon is a best friend’s brother romance. This is a author I love to read because I know through all the ups and downs the characters go through they will eventually get their happily ever after. This is a great story of finding love after losing a part of yourself. About learning to let your guard down and be vulnerable again. I read this book in one sitting and it definitely took me in a journey. There were times I smiled, was frustrated and happy. The plot was interesting and the writing was great. (As to be expected from Lexi Landon) The characters were relatable and complex at the same time, even the side characters made an impact on the story. It was easy to understand the emotions and decisions of these people. It was just so well done! What an amazing, sweet romance. Another great book by Lexi Landon.

I loved reading this book! The tall, dark, and handsome stranger she meets at a party turns out to be the brother of her best friend. The chemistry between Olivia and Alex is palpable right from the start. Her bestie is not a fan of this relationship. Awkward! Lexi handles the story and tension beautifully while still pulling you along on Alex and Olivia's journey to a happy ending.

Meanwhile, some shady characters are lurking in the corners, ready for trouble, and Olivia ends up in danger. So get ready for a bumpy ride.

This book is a gripping story with a lot of awesome moments that will take you from sweet to steamy with some tension thrown in for good measure. I could not stop once I started!

Self-made billionaire Alex is a good person. He is a single father, putting his own feelings on hold to raise his son. He is also very generous with his time and money for those with less than him, which is the impetus for his mainly absent sister Bella to pitch his story for her magazine. Bella's best friend Liv will be the phototgrapher for the article.

Liv is instantly attracted to Alex when she sees him at a party, but is irritated he didn't immediately introduce himself. Once she realizes he is Bella's brother, she decides not to pursue him.

Nevertheless, Liv and Bella shadow Alex when he does his philanthropic work. Alex becomes increasingly interested in Liv. However, Bella is not a fan of their interactions. Will Liv trade in friendship for the possibility of romance?

Liv is at a party her friend brought her to and finds herself on her own. She sees a sexy stranger across the room and her night suddenly changes for the better. They end up in the wine cellar enjoying themselves and then her friend Bella returns. This gives Liv a dose of reality because the sexy stranger is Bella's brother. Liv and Bella's work wants to do an interview on Alex, and this has Liv shadowing him at a charity project he is working on. Its not long before they grow closer, and things heat up between them. Can they be together or will his sister cause problems for them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I really enjoyed reading this book.

Alex is a Widower with a little boy called Harlan who is his world.
He became a Billionaire by investing in his friends Cyber Security firm and his own company. He did really well for himself and likes to give back to the Community with donations and being involved in different Community groups that need help.

Liv is a photographer who is Best friends with Alex sister Bella. They work together for a magazine who is interested in doing a piece on Alex.

Liv and Alex first meet at a party that is being held in Alex House and let's just say it was an interesting first encounter there.

I won't give away anymore of the story line for you but it's a really enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it.

I'm a fan of Lexi's books. Loved this one just as much.. This was Best Friend's brother, Close Proximity, Single Parent, Surprise Pregnancy and Ex Navy Seal Tropes.
Alex was amazing character. He was a billionaire with heart. Doing so much good for charities.
His sister Bella was doing a article on his philanthropy and her best friend Liv was the photographer. This is where Alex and Liv meet. Liv loved seeing him in his element and both felt sparks flying.
There is drama that helps them get closer. I really disliked Olivia's (Liv) bestie Bella. She was a horrid character, I will leave it at that, read and find out.
Great plot, suspense, drama, action, witty banter, emotional, love and spice.

Arc Review

Alex - Philanthropist. Aiding the less fortunate. Widow father, fallen for his sisters best friend. Usual friend bickering. Older man, younger woman - per usual. There is always some type of issues that work themselves out.

Sadly, did struggle to read through, simply because felt like Deja Vue. No disrespect To Lexi but feels like same style as some other reads. Also, lack of interest due to book continuously marking as finished. Uncertain whether it’s a download issue. Due to constant interruptions, read up to page 170. Didn’t go any further because it became a hinderance.

I purchased this as part of a bundle called EX SEAL BILLIONAIRE PROTECTORS. Very little on the Navy Seal part.

I just didn't feel a connection to this couple. I think the H is in his 40's and the h in her mid to late 20's (guessing). The H's sister came across as a spoiled teenager and didn't care for her at all. Characters needed to be fleshed out more.

Some crude words used, lovemaking outside of marriage - heat level 4+ out of 5 and described many times. They even had sex while the H's 6-year-old son was playing video games.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, little on romance and steam. Some editing problems that I had to read over a few times. (ljb)

Boy, Liv (and Bella!) had a LOT of growing up to do! Both Liv and Bella acted like petulant teenagers (though Bella was also a SPOILED brat) - wah, wah, wah - I had a bad relationship and won’t let my walls down, wah, wah, wah - you’re taking my brother’s attention away from me. Thank goodness Alex was (mostly) an adult and was willing to try to manage the two of them. Though he jumped into “relationship” territory awfully fast, he was a good dad and a loyal, loving guy with great values.

OMG this was a great book. It was addicted. I just loved it. It was a page turner and the suspense was mind blowing of physical attraction and the chemistry between them was spicy of hotness. This is a well written book with strong characters in Alix and Liv. The author takes you into their lives as they make their way to a relationship. She pulled me in with the intrigue and kept me glued to the pages with the romance and love. She moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read.

Off Limits Billionaire Protector is a complex, engaging, and sweet story about finding love after loss and learning to open your heart and trust again. The main characters each come with complex baggage but cannot deny their chemistry. The supporting characters each bring an interesting dynamic to the story, and Harlan is just the cutest kid! I loved this sweet and swoon worthy romance where he falls first. This is a beautiful read!

This was a great book.
When photographer, Liv is doing a piece on ex seal Alex he takes a liking to her but finds he needs to step up when trouble strikes.
Honestly I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two. Her fiesty ness against his need to take control and protect made for a great match. Very realistic and almost sweet.
This was full of danger, drama and satisfaction in both romance and steam. Very well written but with a plot both realistic and interesting.

An act in frustration

This story is well written with well rounded characters and a great plot line. The reason I’m not giving it a 5 is because of all the spelling errors and the usage of wrong words. Who ever did the proofreading for this did a terrible job.
What is a beautiful romantic story was absolute frustration in reading. I mean no insult to the writer. These kind of mistakes are costly.

One of my favorite authors has done it again. Absolutely wonderful story. Alex and Liv are quite the couple. He uses his billions for good, and she’s a sassy, stubborn professional photographer capturing every moment of his immense kindness. There is so much to like about this book. An ex Navy Seal, that becomes a self made billionaire that only cares about helping the less fortunate. Alex meets his sister's best friend and is hooked. However, Olivia is torn between loyalty to Bella and her growing feelings for Alex. Will the spoiled, jealous rantings of his little sister ruin everything for Alex and Olivia? Well worth the read.
