Haven grew up in the foster care system after her mother died during child birth. She had no family to call her own until Halo came into her life during their high school years! These were some of the best years of her life until they weren’t. Facing years behind bars, Halo did what he thought was best for Haven and cut ties with her. He did not want her to eat that time with him. Halo had no clue of the damage he caused and wouldn’t until they crossed paths again years later.
Now reunited 6ish years later, Halo realized that letting Haven go was the biggest mistake of his life and he made the immediate decision to spend the rest of his, making it up to her!
I really really REALLY enjoyed this book!! Halo was a whole fool and he kept me laughing most of the book! I loved that despite years of separation, Halo and Haven were back like they never left when it came to their connection. It was clear that they loved each other just as fiercely as they did during their high school years and now that Halo had the bank roll to back it up, it was ball til you fall behind Haven!
The book was also messy with just the right amount of drama! The heaux’s were in rare form behind Halo but he had a zero tolerance policy when it came to anything that would remotely threaten his future with Haven. If a b*tch was looking for second chances, they were sold out, out of stock, on recall when it came to Halo. He stood on business where Haven was concerned! THIS was how you unalive everyone deserving of it!
The book WAS NOT EDITED!! The amount of errors, typos, double words, misused words was really frustrating. I hope I replaced the correct words the author intended to use while reading 🥴 The story was a solid 5 for me but I’m struggling to give it the rating I want because of the errors. Also the lack of holiday presence in the book was disheartening. We only got a Christmas vibe during the end of the book. I still recommend the book without a doubt but just be ready for the errors.

Halo's Christmas Miracle
Well this was entertaining.
Halo had only been in love once and he knew Haven was without a doubt his forever. His dumb decisions tore them apart and this Christmas he prayed for the miracle of a family.
Haven unfortunately had been going through it. After messing with fat fk boy Antonio who liked to have heauxs with hot pockets on the side 😒 he sat out to ruin her life. After a close call she loses everything and heads home, which ultimately eventually leads to Haven and Halo crossing paths after 6 long years. Their chemistry is still crazy, despite both of them being mad at each other.
The book basically takes us through Halo reuniting with his little family. Is it really Christmas themed...naw not really, but the story occurs around Christmas and was entertaining.

Haven & Halo
This story was a lot of things but being a Christmas story was a stretch. With the exception of an event being planned for the upcoming holiday and the story ending with gifts on Christmas Day, nothing else was really Christmas related. I really didn’t get the snowman reference unless, it was in reference to the selling of narcotics.
This was a second chance romance. Haven and Halo were childhood sweethearts but sometimes life happens and things don’t go quite as planned. Halo thinking that he would be locked away for a lengthy amount of time pushesHaven away. Haven not realizing what it was and listening to the vultures in her ear moved away thinking he really didn’t want her. After Six years and a string of unfortunate incidents, Haven finds herself back home. Even though the two are soulmates and destined to be together, we have at least two that will do anything to keep them apart. There’s always that one thirsty chic that can’t see the Forrest for the trees. Naomi is that chic. No matter how brutally honest Halo is with her, sis just continues to humiliate herself self time and time again. Then there’s Malika, the fake best friend. I knew from the very first mention of her that she was a 🐍. Girl keep your grass cut low. Once Halo and Haven reunite, he vows to never let her go again. I really enjoyed how Halo was a straight shooter. He only gave one warning shot and then it was lights out. He did not play about Haven Palmer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book despite it not being Christmasy at all. It was cute, funny and had just the right amount out spice. Haven and Halo are childhood sweethearts. An unexpected event occurs and Halo tells Haven to not wait for him. Haven is the one who ends up with a surprise. I loved Halo crazy ass he didn’t play he gave one warning literally after its closed casket. After a few years Haven and Halo reunite because of a bxtch names Toni. Halo isn’t letting Haven go and he doesn’t play when it comes to his baby girl either. The snakes but again crazy Halo don’t play it was phew phew 🤣🤣. While this wasn’t really a Christmas story Halo did get his Christmas wish of having a family

My favourite book in the series so far, it was so good, humour filled and kept me entertained throughout. I easily fell in love with Haven, Halo, Harmonie and uncle Reef. And I'm so glad this isn't the last we'll be seeing of them!!!
This is my first read by the author, but it won't be my last. It had me crying several times because of what Haven and Harmonie went through, and that daddy reveal got me, I was literally sobbing with them. I love you Nek Mills, thank you for writing this story.

3.5 for the laughs
The premise was a little shaky cause ….(SPOILER)….why would you be homeless and leave your source of income to move somewhere where you would have a free place to live but need to find a job?? But anyway, once you get pass that this was over the top and hilarious. I don’t know who was funnier Hermione or Halo. …(SPOILER)…I also personally think the lost relative should have been Zeke. I thought that’s what was being hinted at. This was definitely entertaining in an unnecessary extravagant sort of way.

Haven and Halo
So I came here from Think It's A Game but that does not take away from how I have fell in love with these characters. Haven had it hard and was doing what was needed to take care of her daughter but you know you always have those people that wanna see you need them. Haven was not having that and when she got back with her forever boo Halo it was a wrap. It's like Halo knew she would be back because everything was her from his keep sakes to his shelter. They never stopped loving each other. Halo ain't play about his girls and it showed in the way her spoke with them and loved on them but his actions as well.

They run into each other, and Halo decides he's not losing his woman again. This man applied that pressure, and my good sis Haven had no choice but to fall in line & back in love. I love me some urban Christmas books. This is the one!

Loved It!!
Loving Halo! He did not play about his! He made it known once he got the love of his life back NOTHING can or will come between them!
Haven had it rough and dealt with a lot but when it came to her daughter she did not play no matter who you were! For Antonio to act the way he did and attempt to kill Haven and Harmie was weak! He really felt some way because she was protecting her daughter who did feel comfortable with him! That lets you know what type of man he was. So honestly he deserved the Karma he received.
The love that Halo and Haven shared was like no other. This man still had their prom picture posted up and any woman that had something to say about it was dealt with - Naomi lol! They both know they made mistakes and both take accountability the part they played! Nothing gets batter than that and from there they started to build their future.
This love story was beautiful for a couple of reasons. One, Harmie was able to meet and have a relationship with her father. Secondly, Haven and Halo was able to be together and love each other they way they always intended to since high school.

This was short and sweet however it gives you the background story betrayal, and a little sprinkle of drama. It always be the people that are closest to you that be hating on you and you don’t see it or notice it until you’re down and out. Haven was a struggling single mother, but doing the best. She had a bum of a boyfriend and a dead end job, but had goals and dreams for herself, and was determined to make it for her and her daughter. Growing up she had two people that she could count on and both left her or walked away willingly. However Halo thought he was doing the right thing by telling her he didn’t want to ruin her. Her ex best friend was trifling and raggedy. But thank God, she found someone who was truly for her and behind her no matter what. Little did she know that being down bad having to go back home was walking her right into her happy ever after. Granted she had to face some harsh realities. I loved how Halo was always about her and never switched up on her and all little situation he had going on died as soon as he seen Haven. Anyone that cause her pain or made her uncomfortable was handled. That man had been crazy about her and never let her go.

Every man Nek writes is utterly deranged. You’re guaranteed to be hollering at the ridiculousness coming out of their mouths but that’s why we love them. Halo was very much giving cocky BDE, breathe on my family and ☠️ Haven was all quiet and innocent until that warehouse and I was bugging like okay little baby is a psycho.. that tracks!
Harmonie was absolutely the star of the show! I loved every bit of her. She was so sassy and she did not play about her mama which I loved! I also really liked that she was so smart, spoiled but didn’t at all seem like a brat. You could tell mama was teaching her right. When the girl told her classmates "And tell your daddy to come see my daddy if he got something to say!" I was done with Nek!!
You won’t be disappointed!

Enjoyable 😉
I liked this Halo was that 🥷 and he def stood on business when it came to Haven. Haven wasn't particularly no damsel...she def would drop a b*tch if necessary. Loved that for her. Harmonie and her Halo where a pair of comedians...look girl finessing the sh*t out of him....rhe only peeve I had with the book was that it felt a lil rushed and I wanted more with Bailey and reef...also her fam...but as it was a lil short holiday novella, I still thoroughly enjoyed it 🥰

As you already know I am a big big fan of second chances. I'm so happy that Halo and Haven were united to make that little Harmony wish come true. To have family is priceless. To treasure Life and Family to me is the best Christmas gift ever because life from God was given to me to treasure and learn from it. It's awesome when the season is treasured how it should be with family, friends and extended family and friends as well. Love this story from beginning to end. ReneeG

Halo and Haven
Halo and Haven were childhood sweethearts but him going to prison and sending her away ended them. Haven moved and later had their child. Haven was involved with Tony who was a dog and ran around on her every chance he gets. When she ends things, he wants revenge and almost kills her and her daughter. Heartbroken and broke she makes her way home and ends up in a shelter. Later she finds out the shelter is owned by her baby daddy! There connection is still strong and he promises her the world. A great story!

This was sooo good!!!!!
I seriously never laughed this much reading a book, I was holding my belly laughing. Harmonie was a whole character, the girl was so dramatic I loved it🤣🤣. I loved every part of this book,it rare you find someone who from the moment you met them, you knew they are to be apart your life and that's what Haven and Halo had. I wish they story was longer but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Thank you Ms Nek!!!!

What Snowman??
This was a good Christmas book but still like some of the previous books, the title and the book didn’t line up together. Snowman wasn’t even mentioned until the very last sentence of the book. However, I can’t wait to read more about this crew especially because I feel as though Zeke and Haven are going to end up being siblings since they’re both from the same group home and felt a sense of familiarity with each other.

A Fresh Start Is A Good Thing!
Nek Mills, such a nice read. Thanks for allowing Haven to be a strong woman. She took her downfall and ended up right where she was supposed to be. It was so cute watching Halo and Haven Maneuver around one another. Harmonies was the glue that calmed everything down. It was a good sweet read, that showed what true love and understanding looks like🤗🤗🤗🤗

Haeven really was through some things a crazy ex, jealous friends, and just life was lifing and back to her hometown she goes an a run in with the man who who holds her heart Halo… now this guy was the most giving but lethal man you up could cross but his weakness was Haeven…this was a good read the ending a little rushed and the secondary character’s were well developed I hope we get their story especially Zeke and Reef theses gentlemen have a story to tell

Good Second Chance Romance story

This is a great story for the holidays because the setting in the book is during that timeframe. I enjoyed the storyline and how the main characters reconnected. There were from grammatical errors but none that made the story hard to follow.
Overall I would definitely recommend this during the holidays at the end of the year. 💖

Haven and Halo were young lovers. Halo was facing a prison sentence and thought breaking up with Haven was the best decision.
After Halo relocated to another city life got rough for her and her daughter and they had to move back to her home town.
When she was at her lowest she has no chalice but to face her long lost love.
