I NEED THE AUTHOR TO FOCUS HER ATTENTION ON THE FEMALE CHARACTERS BEING OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE & WISE ENOUGH TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT, WHILE APPRECIATING NOT ONLY HERSELF BUT WHAT MAY BECOME OF HERSELF WITH A PERSON WHO MAY NOT BE WITH HER THINKING OF WHAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN LIKE FOR THEIR WHITE ANCESTORS WITH THE SLAVE WOMEN WHILE THEY HAVE SEX WITH THE BLACK GIRL THEY REALLY DON'T WANT NOTHING ELSE TO DO WITH THEM OUTSIDE OF THE BEDROOMS! I AM NOT A FAN OF THIS AUTHOR'S WORRK. SHE NEVER SEEMS TO STEER OR VEER TOWARDS ANYTHING THAT ACTUALLY EMPOWERS WOMEN OF COLOR THAT IS, OUTSIDE OF A ROMANCE WITH SOMEONE OF THE SAME RACE AS THEY/THE FEMALES ARE. EVERY STORY SEEMS TO BE BLACK GIRL & NON-BLACK MALE. MS./MRS. JAMILA JASPER, PLEASE EXPAND YOUR STORYLINE HORIZONS!VEER AWAY FROM YOUR USUAL OF UNDERAGED BLACK GIRLS/GROWN NON-BLACK MALES!
Are you ready for this dark rock star romance? This page turner is so spicy, it may keep you up all night...🌙
If you enjoy steamy black woman/white man multicultural romance stories, you'll love this sizzling and VERY dark rock star romance.
If you aren't shy and love controversial yet SEXY interracial romance stories, you'll love Seb + Angie's gripping romantic adventure. Thanks for following along my writing journey here...
Seb and Angie have a beginning that's eye rolling in that her boyfriend sold her to Seb. Seb is high during this encounter with Angie but seems to have been eyeing her for a while. Their night together results in a baby and 5 years later, Seb finds Angie who he's been looking for all this time. When he finds her, he knows he wants her but gets a surprise when he sees Callie who he immediately knows is his daughter because men know these things. For a rock superstar, it makes no sense for there not to have been any talk at all about paternity testing. In any case, Seb comes into Callie's life as well, exits Callie's and Angie's lives and comes back again. Why? Because he doesn't trust himself not to use again and have Callie see him that way.
I didn't buy the I love yous, particularly with how early they're spouted once Seb and Angie reconnect. The same for Seb's 5 year abstinence after being with Angie the one time. There's some inconsistent information, spelling and grammar and punctuation errors in this one so an editor to clean up that stuff would make it a higher rank. There are times when the story doesn't quite connect, like when Seb leaves but then decides to come back. I was confused and couldn't understand why it was included. Rain being the information leak about Seb didn't really add up either and we don't learn who took the photo of Seb and Angie by the end of the book.
I always love Jamila Jasper books. They are always entertaining for sure. This particular one was a bit different thank your typical 2nd chance romance either. I won’t spoil it but I loved the real life situations these characters dealt with. One thing that WAS pretty typical unfortunately was the super black girl lead. Again, there are a rainbow of black women out there, let’s share the lead wealth a but yeah? Let a pretty brown skinned girl lead or even (gasp!) a light skinned or mixed one. Mix it up a little and I’d be a super fan. Speaking of color, this story took place mostly in Tennessee…THAT should give you an idea of what transpires. Nothing too drastic but there all the same, drawing awareness to these real life issues. The way they were navigated really added to the drama of the story. Our H was your type huge rock star with the excessive sëx, drügs and rock n roll! He partied it up most of his career u til something happened and changed him. Then we have our h, the super black passionate, kind and loving lead. She grew from a child to a woman and had a great (and not so great) family around her. Something changed in her life as well. The spïce is ALWAYS super spïcy in these books and this one did. It disappoint. I’m pretty sure there was a 2-3 chapter session. Hot AF!! I’ve only read that in one other book so I’m here for it! All in all, I loved this story. I laughed and cheered all the way through. I also read it in a day as I didn’t want to put it down!!
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Nashville’s Rebel Blood Rock Stars series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Okay I hate not knowing how it will all end but here goes current boy friend sells girlfriend for debt owed …if only it were that simple. Seb is a sexy as all get out rock star who usually gets what/who he wants, and he has his eyes set on a certain girl. Angie’s boyfriend at the time owed debt and sold her for the debt one night it was requested she disappears. Fast forward to today five years later and a reconnection with Seb but is he still the sick man who bought a night with someone else girlfriend, what happens to her ex., has this rock star changed and will they get happiness?
Pretty Little Monster: BWWM Rock Star Romance storyline is not what I thought it was going to be. In fact, it is a bit "real" and has a touch of humor mixed with drama, strife, and steamy romance. The characters are realistic in that we see celebrities like Sebastian (Seb) Jackson behaving the way he does throughout the book, and then we all discover that they are human after all.
Single moms like Angeline (Angie) Victor are probably more common than we know on that scene. It is nice, though, that she is smart, compassionate, and hardworking. Unfortunately, the compassionate part of her is what got her into Seb's line of sight. All and all, this was a fascinating read and interesting insight into the life of a celebrity musician, including the literal highs and lows and the impact that the choices (poor and good) of others can have on the people who care for them.

This was messy. That’s probably the best way to describe it. She is a rockstar and has a very awkward start with Angie. Her boyfriend at the time loses a bet to Seb, and Angie is the payment. 5 or so years later, Seb and Angie run into each other again and he realizes she’s had his child. And he decides he wants his family. There are many crazy roadblocks in the course of their relationship, but at the end of the day, they get their happily ever after somehow. I’m just really not sure about how I feel about this, especially due to the way they began. Things got really crazy and hectic at the end and there was a lot of miscommunication. And at the end of the day, you just had to suspend all of your disbelief and just roll with what was happening. Because nothing really made a lot of sense. But despite that, this was actually a fun read. Very spicy.
Seb is an amoral rock star fronting a southern rock band. He has traveled far from his humble start in Tennessee. He is high most of the time and everything he wants he GETS. When Seb sees Angie Victor, he makes a bargain with her current boyfriend for a night with her. She disappears and takes Seb’s heart with her. Five years later they reconnect..... but Angie has a five year old secret. I really liked Seb’s character, for all his raunchy, bad boy vibe, he is oddly sweet and innocent. However, can he make Angie see that he has spent the last five years turning his life around? Jamila Jasper always adds heat and passion to her entertaining stories.

Completely Sucked Me In! Didn’t Want to Put it DOWN!
I’m an admitted fan of Ms Jasper’s twisted novels. They are a guilty pleasure of mine. Even with the extremely twisted way this novella started, I was swept right up into the drama. I wondered how on earth can this Rock Star have ANY redeeming qualities. Welp, Ms Jasper did it again! With each page turn, I rooted more and more for Seb and Angie. I was NOT disappointed! Sadly, as this is the beginning of a series, not all of the plot twists were completed at the end of the novella. I’m looking forward to seeing where Ms Jasper and the Rebel Bloods are going to take me next!

I wasn't sure what I how would feel about this book. It started in a negative place for her but in spite of the situation put her big girl panties on and kept it moving. This was definitely a different kind of read for me but I liked it. When he entered the scene he was on point with what he wanted. At some point he had his pity party as we all do but I could not help but like him. She at times, to me, went overboard to a point where she got on my nerves. I do have to say I love the part of a book when the fighting stops and the truth comes in then whatever happens, happens. The kid was so adorable she could be nothing but goodness and light.

You know I wasn't willing to give Seb another chance after everything he did in the beginning. But slowly, he began to grow on me. And then it seemed that Angie was being too harsh at times. I saw that Seb was changing and that he wasn't the jerk he used to be. And I was rooting for him to woo Angie and to get to know his daughter Calypso. They went through a time of it, that's for sure. But they all got their HEA in the end. I enjoyed this book as the characters and the plot were well fleshed out. And I always enjoy this author's work.

This book was long and we really didn't get any closer. Maybe it was Daisy? I know Rain's part in leaking, but who really was the other leake. Now to the terrible part, she fell in love with her rapist, (too sensitive, so). It took me two days to find out nothing. The next book is written about Rain, give me a break. You had almost five chapter of one sexual encounter. I was waiting for the climax. I guess I will have to wait. I don't give a rat's behind about Rain and Mickey's love life. She betrayed her cousin's friend, so forget her. Besides, it will be long and say nothing.
In my opinion this book was a hot mess. It read like it was written by a high schooler. Seb calling Angie Miss Angie throughout the book was annoying. She's your baby mama, why are you calling her Miss Angie? I don't understand how Angie fell in love with Seb. She only spent one night with him after being sold to him. He pops up 5 years later and spends a day or week with her; all of a sudden she's in love with him🙄😒
Both MCs aren't that bright in my opinion. Seb let's his team have so much control over his life that it's ridiculous and unbelievable. I am not reading the next book about Mickey and Rain.
I had to kind of speed read through the last of it but overall liked the story. Beginning was rough and some of the ending was rough, but the middle was nice! And spice was in point. Spoiler below ⬇️
. . .
Spoiler: The whole faking drugs thing didn’t make sense with how it was handled. Like faking it and getting certain people certain info to track the mole would have made sense but the delivery was kind of all over the place and there wasn’t a clear route. It got confusing and honestly upsetting with how it wasn’t working but then it did work. Idk…
This was an excellent story about how true love can change your life. Angie had a terrible so called boyfriend who used her as a marker to settle money he owed to rock star Seb Jefferson who was high on alcohol and drugs. Angie was only 18 years old at the time and thought she was in love with her ex. Six years later she has a little girl from that one night stand. Seb comes back to his hometown not knowing that his mystery one night stand lives there. He has never forgotten her and is a changed man. Their paths cross again and the rest is history.
Many people wish for success and fame, but end up letting it change who they are. This love story has a lot of twist and turns for the main characters, while being set in the South. When circumstances cause people to lose their way, they are unable to recognize when blessings are placed in their path...until it is almost too late. The saying goes that time heals all wounds,, but a lot of chemistry, passion, and HOT sex cannot hurt! It is not called the Dirty South for no reason.

Angelina is sold to Sebastian Jefferson when she eighteen. At the time, Seb was a drug addict and alcoholic. I like the way this story shows how a person reacts to prejudices even though they were brought up to be racist. The way the story makes one realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, racism can be overcome, and that all addictions can be overcome make this an amazing story.
When I say I was happy, mad and frustrated lol. This story was everything I imagined from beginning to end! With all that Angie has gone thru in her life, she was still able to take care of her daughter and live her life. But when you have a bestie like hers lol, you never know what’s going to happen. Let’s just say Sebastian Jefferson is in for the shock of his life and Angie is not at prepared to deal with Seb. I’m glad that Seb stepped up the way he did and got his HEA. But OMG I need the next book ASAP!!
Okay, could’ve been better without the repeated lines!!
Wow! So this storyline was really good! I enjoyed it and was definitely rooting for Seb and Angie, but i didn’t like the repeat of the colors of the characters. It was stated it was a interracial book. I get when describing their looks it’s necessary. Twice, maybe even three times to bring it up. But it was said EVERY CHAPTER and that annoyed me. It got so bad for me, i skipped their sex scenes because it was black this, white that. It was too much for me and I didn’t like it.
This was a story of a young woman that gets sold by her boyfriend for his gambling debt. She now is owned by a musician that may look sexy and had muscular but she isn’t thrilled to be used by her ex for his debt. Will they learn to get along or will she try and get away from this situation that she has nothing to do with? Can’t wait for the next story!

This is definitely how you start a new series. I’m t-totally excited Annie and Seb. Their chemistry and their story is worth the time it takes to read this book.
I’m so looking forward to seeing Teasing the Tyrant.

I liked the beginning and middle of the book. I understand that something traumatic can make you change to be a better person. Both Seb and Angie needed to make changes in their lives. I didn’t like how Seb constantly changed from aggressive to submissive throughout the book. The end was not good. Meg came up with convoluted plan that made no sense. I had skip ahead so I could finish. The beginning was so promising and the end such a let down.
This was an ok read. I felt the story dragged. The dialogue between the two main characters could be funny at times but a little stiff. I actually had to skip a few pages here and there. I know it's the first book in a series and normally with this author the first book is always like this. I plan to read the next book and I'm confident the author would have hit her stride.
I was glad that Sebastian and Angie worked thru their issues and had a HEA ending. Callie their daughter was so cute. I am glad that Sebastian stepped up to handle the racial issues Callie was facing at her private school.

My goodness I loved, loved this book. Seb and Angie stole my heart I’m so happy they ended up together not just for Callie but they truly loved each other. I can hardly wait for the book to release so I can read it again. Jamila girl you just keep out doing yourself! Can’t wait for the next book, hurry!

Jamila did it again providing a great story of how guy and woman falls in love from a crazy first introduction. I originally thought the story was going to be really dark dealing with racism but she pulls it off! I love the story of this rock star, his lovely lady and child.

4.5 Stars. Reformed junky asshole falls in love with barely legal girl he purchased from his former manager 5 years ago.
Angie is all grown up and raising their kid. Now Sebastian wants to make amends, be a good father, and a worthy boyfriend. I knocked off half a star because their stubbornness (at different times) felt excessive and grated on my nerves.
****Spoilers***** What a great redemption story. Has he really changed? Can she believe he’s not the a-hole that bought her for one night? Can she trust him with her daughter? Her heart? At all? Only one way to find out…

I enjoyed this book very much. The female lead character Angie was strong yet humble and smart. Sebastian the male lead character got a second chance to be a better person and get his woman no matter what others said or thought about him and the woman he loved.
