What if you could live forever? Ankh Biotech has cracked the code on immortality and is offering it to the world at an affordable price. Get inoculated with a pair of gene editing viruses, ingest a few pills and stop aging. Public interest in not dying is extremely robust, but Ethan has some real concerns. Sandy, one of Ankh’s four genius principal officers, agrees to field his complaints. Unexpectedly, they fall in love, and uncover the real purpose behind Ankh’s otherworldly mission of immortality. Although lighthearted, with a mix of science both real and fanciful, this story examines the vulnerability of humans to advanced technology and the ramifications of expanding our lifespan. Anyone can read this book, but do so before you die.
This was a fun book that went fast! They mention the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", but I also thought of the TV Series Sliders where they wear a virtual reality headgear and forget about real life. Such a compelling book with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. I really like sci-fi!
