I’ve always known my standing in the pack, but I never thought my father would kill me as a sacrifice for the wolves’ goddess. I should have died, but Luneste refused the blood payment, and instead wrathful moon magic filled my bleeding body.
Fleeing my furious pack, I find safety with four broken, psycho alphas: obsessive Bakkhos, tortured Draven, cruel Wild, and commanding Kaan. But the wolves of my new pack are vicious and unhinged, and even worse enemies hunt them than my father.
Three of my wolves are determined to claim me as their mate, but when Kaan rejects our bond, not even my new magic will save me from the pain.
Broken Alphas is a rejected mates paranormal romance series, with fated mates, four possessive alphahole wolf shifters who badly need love, and a vulnerable omega in desperate need of protection. Leigh Kelsey is the author of romance and reverse harem books for anyone with a soft spot for steely women and the tortured men who love them. No matter what stories she's writing - vampires or shifters or bad boys - they all share a common thread of love, heart, and action. She is the author of the Lili Kazana series, the Moonlight Inn series, the Dead Space stand alone, and the Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals series, plus many more books.
Note: Be prepared that this Omegaverse is the type with the "mindless" heats, Omegas in desperate need to be fulfilled and kn0tted by their Alphas. They are shifter wolves with packs and a hierarchy, and worship the moon goddess.
The book starts off in a hurry. Nixette's forcibly ripped from her home by her brothers and father to be used as a sacrifice. Their hope is that by sacrificing her, an Omega, the moon goddess will bless their pack, revive the lands and make the wolves fertile again. The plan backfires when, after she's killed, the moon goddess, Luneste, revives her and blesses Nix with her power. Angry that Nix now has the power that was "supposed" to be for the pack, they hunt her. She escapes, but knows they won't quit.
She's guided by Luneste to a location where she will be safe and protected by a pack of broken Alphas. There's the crazy obsessive one, Bakkhos. The silent, brooding one, Darven. The cruel one, Wild. Finally, the alpha of alphas himself, Kaan. Nix is unsure of why she was led here, but soon finds that there's more to these men than she first thought. Each are broken in their own way but will find that they're able to heal with their pack and mate at their sides.
The only thing I didn't really like much about this book is that I found the begging for her Alphas to be a bit much at times. On the other hand, it's an Omegaverse, so that's kind of par for the genre, so I can't remove any points for that. I also kind of wish it had more multiple POV. In the second part of the book, the guys in the pack do get some chapters themselves because they're split up, however, so that does make it better, in my opinion. Finally, the second half of the second book could use a bit more editing. It isn't bad, but there are more misspelled words in the last quarter of this duet than the rest of the book combined. Just small things that don't take away from the story or anything, but they're noticeable.
There's trigger warnings that you may want to look up before starting to read this, if you have any.
In conclusion, if you don't mind a darker shifter Omegaverse, you'll definitely enjoy this!
This duet was great. I loved all the characters and the broken minds. Each pack member had their own trauma to deal with and overcome. I wish we had more at the end with Wild and Nixette but I'm glad for the whole Pack and their happy ending. The story was good and I would definitely read more from this author.
From beginning to end this had me anxious. Loved wild and bakkos (I can't remember how she spelt it) great plot. The FL annoyed me a little because she didn't listen but still.overall great book. Very well written spicy scenes and I felt every emotion. Definitely reading more of her books.
