From the Channel 4 series The Unteachables — there is no such thing as a stupid child, only boring An unconventional and inspirational guide to unlocking your child’s unique potential.
This book had some interesting and useful ideas I will keep, but Beadle's tone grated on me for large parts of the book (his gratuitous swearing, I'm-just-a-common-lad, and "down with the kids" attitude). I don't subscribe to his belief that the only reason children don't make progress, etc, is that lessons aren't interesting enough and are taught by "crap teachers" - although naturally stressing this point will endear him to the parents who are his target market for this book. A lot of his songs, rhymes, declarations etc seemed a bit pointless and not to contain information that would actually transfer into students' work (especially their grammar). Still, if some of it was a bit annoying, this was outweighed by the number of ideas were valuable enough to keep and use.
