Reese Barker didn’t mean to introduce Decker Connolly as her boyfriend, but it just kind of slipped out. Returning home to Wyoming to help her mom recover from surgery was supposed to be a breath of fresh air. Instead, her mom’s marital expectations seem to reach even higher than the surrounding Teton peaks. That was probably why, in a fit of either altitude sickness or insanity, when her mom assumed the man who drove her home was her boyfriend, Reese ran with the story. The truth is Decker is just the mechanic who offered a ride when her rental overheated, but Reese can’t retract her tale now. It would break her mother’s heart—and she’s already done enough of that. Decker’s used to making things work. From fixing cars to… faking relationships? Okay, he’s never faked anything with a woman before, and definitely not the very real attraction he has for the driven, big-city doctor. So, when she begs for four weeks of pretend, he agrees. Four weeks of faking it. Until his warm touch and steadfast care have Reese falling for him accidentally…on purpose.
Rebecca Sharp always loved a good love story. Let's face it, when you include a romance novel on your 8th grade summer reading list just to see if the teacher would notice (she didn't!), she was bound to give writing one of her own a go. There's really no corner of romance that she doesn't (or wouldn't) enjoy writing, except maybe aliens, much to her husband's dismay, so her large catalog features a little something for everyone. However, her love of shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds makes her favorite stories to write the ones with some kind of suspense and crime solving.
When she's not writing, she's at her office treating patients, and somewhere between those two things, you'll find her wandering the globe with her husband always searching for their next adventure.

This was a really good, quick and easy read definitely a good pallet cleanser. Decker and reese were really cute and the smut was good, i just wish it was longer as it was only 160 pages, it was very fast paced and it was insta lust / insta love which I'm not a fan of but other than that it was really good
Tropes :
Fake dating Insta lust / insta love Small town
Some of my favorite quotes :
"She needed to know it wasn't weakness to let go and let someone else take care of her. And i wanted to be that someone. I wanted to be the someone who gave her a reason to stop working. Who gave her a reason to think of herself for just a few minutes rather than everyone else."
"I knew the exact moment: when she walked into my arms when her work at the hospital was done. Like i was her safe place to land. I wanted to be that place for more than one night. I wanted to be her haven for the rest of my life."
"It's okay to be afraid. We're all afraid to go after the thing we really want, but you can't let a little thing like fear stop you."
This is in the same universe as ranger. I ate this upppppp. So well written and decker/reese r cuties. And the fake dating bc she told her mom she had a bf is peak so well written
I have loved Decker since the Reynolds books so I was thrilled to find out he was getting his own story. So glad it didn’t disappoint. Such a good story and a smooth read. I totally loved it! Was so easy to fall in love with the characters. One of those books I can see reading again.
I love the Country Love standalones! And this book will give you all the warm and fuzzies. And while there were moments I wanted to give a stern talking-to to Reece’s mother, overall the characters were lovely. These books are designed to be bite sized delights and they absolutely deliver. Decker is wholesome and yummy. The spice level is perfect. And the guest appearances of Wisdom’s favorite brothers makes me want to dive back in to a reread of the Reynolds Protective series. In fact…👋.

Reese has always held to the idea that she needed independence! She doesn’t want to rely on anyone for her happiness! As she heads home for the first time in awhile she comes face to face with a man who might show her that it’s ok to be taken care of from time to time!
Decker and Reese have the craziest meet cute but Decker quickly proves he is someone who can be trusted! As their ruse continues their attraction only grows and proves to be a bigger an issue than the original lie they told!
I loved seeing Reese face her demons and finally let all her pent up hurt out! Through it all I was so overjoyed to see that Decker stood by her and showed up for her time and time again!
The this is a novella you can see how these two grow and how their bond forms. Also a visit with my favorite Reynolds fam just made this a book one of the best this season!
You know those mothers who are so anxious to see their children get married? Well, Reese is one of those daughters who does everything to keep her mother out of her business. She's created a boyfriend to appease her mother, even though he doesn't exist. Now that she's driving back to Jackson to take care of her mother, this story could very well go off the track. Reese is an ER doctor in NY, on pace to become the next Chief of Medicine, but her mother just had surgery and she's driving home to take care of her. As she's nearing Jackson, her car breaks down and she Googles a mechanic and soon Decker pulls up and offers to help her. It's leaking coolant, so he lets her know that he will drive her home and she can come back for her car tomorrow. As they pull up to the house, her mother (still affected by her prescriptions) assumes that Decker is her boyfriend and there's the "simple" answer for Reese. She asks if Decker can be her fake boyfriend until her mother is convinced. He's already falling for her, so he agrees wholeheartedly. As they spend time together, Decker is all in, but Reese is still in denial. Will she be able to face her truth or will she return to NY? This is a wonderful addition to Rebecca Sharp's Country Love Collection with dynamic, well-written characters in a touching story.
Reese is an ER doctor in NYC, coming home to help her mom after her surgery. When her rental car breaks down, Decker is called to save the day, and he does it in other ways as well. With her mom loopy on pain meds, she mistakes Decker for the boyfriend that Reese lied about to get her off her back about settling down. Decker and Reese agree to a four week fake relationship to make her mom happy, but over time things get real. Loved the characters, the personalities, the backstories and of course the others that slide in from the other books. Mutual friends give good advice. Old issues still become obstacles to work over. Do they stand a chance together? Will her mom ever back off a bit? Great storyline, emotions and entertaining situations kept the pages turning. Terrific ending.

I loved Accidentally on Purpose. Reece has shut herself off from love but meeting Decker has put a crack in her armor. Decker didn’t know why he said he was her boyfriend but he really wishes it were true. Maybe it won’t be so bad when she leaves back to her life but he knows that’s a lie. He’s going to do everything he can to convince her to stay. This is a sweet story and I loved the characters. I love how the Reynolds’s brothers make an appearance. I love how Decker shows her that love can stay. I would definitely recommend this book.

Reese is an ER doctor, desperate to please her mom. She makes a quick decision to lie about the mechanic who gave her ride being her boyfriend. Decker doesn’t hesitate and jumps right in to be the most incredible, sexy fake boyfriend ever. Reese has her walls up and he will need to work hard to prove to her that the connection they have is anything but fake.
This was honestly one of the best fake relationship books I have read in a long time. It had such a fun story, great side characters and the perfect amount of steam. I love everything Dr. Rebecca Sharp writes and this one was no different. Definitely a 5 star read and one I will read again soon.
Accidentally on Purpose was super cute! I love a good family dynamic with a little secrecy! After the bison scene, I decided I need to go to Yellowstone. Decker was such a breath of fresh air for Reese, and their story was an easy read that kept me pulled in 🤍 🦬 I definitely imagined Decker as Tim Rozon, and Ranger from this authors previous series was in there! Still one of my favorite characters in all of the books I’ve read! I think it would have been 5 stars if it would have been a little more juicy like maybe some gossip from New York or something more than just fake dating. However I liked how easy it was to read.
From the first page you knew this new release was going to be an entertaining romance story. Reese is on her way to help her mom when she had car problem and enters Decker the mechanic who finds himself helping her more than he realized as her fake boyfriend. As their relationship plays out, their chemistry sizzle and what happens next was an unexpected romance that she did not see coming. This was a romantic comedy at its finest and I couldn’t help smile from start to finish.

Fun little story that tied in with so many characters from other great books from this author. If I hadn't already read them, it would've made me interested in finding out about them. Perfect amount of steam built into the story.
The entire idea of tying this story around a song is A cute concept. I've enjoyed all the stories that she has done this with. There were a few areas I wish had been fleshed out more. However, this was still cute.
Reese's car isn't the only thing that needs some coolant after Derek picks her when she breaks down just outside of town and a fake relationship kiss changes everything. I enjoyed seeing Reese have someone force her to slowdown so she can really take stock of where she is at at life and what she wants... is it city life or returning to her home, the fact Derek is hot as F totally helps!.

Well-written fake romance story. 4* This novel is an easy-to-read, entertaining, witty, well-written fake romance story, between Reece and Decker. Thanks to her mother's eye on her hopefully impending matrimony, the two pretend to have a relationship, which gradually turns real, leading to a nice HEA. Would recommend this book to all lovers of the genre.

I loved this story, the fake romance story, between Reece and Decker was really great. He is the mechanic who just helps her out and ends up falling in love with her. They fake the relationship to keep her mother off her back. As they pretend to have a relationship, all the events they go through together, leads to real love and a nice HEA. Would recommend this book to all lovers of the genre.
I read this as an ARC for Booksprout and this is my honest option.
A short, quick and easy read. If you’ve read the Reynolds Protective Group series you’ll want to read this (or vice versa)! Who wouldn’t want a Deck to care and look after you? *swoon* and a Good Girl moment 🥵 The only thing that put me off just the littlest was the nickname ‘baby’ which I felt at times was used well, and other times just chucked in for the sake of it. Otherwise a fun read! Spice level 2-2.5/5
I can already tell that when I don't know what to read, I will pick up one of these novellas. For starters, I love how they do not connect in any way. They can be read in any order. This one drew me in because it was the mechanic that was casually mentioned in the Reynolds Protection Group series. fake dating, so you know I was instantly hooked. There wasn't anything super special that stood out at me. It is a pretty easy and basic read. I did really enjoy it, but I do think it fell a little short of what i was hoping for.
I highly recommend reading this book, loved the Reece and Decker, when I got to the part where other characters from the other books were in this, it ranks right up their with the Reynolds brothers books
This was such a fun novella! The plot and characters were very well developed. This was a fake dating, small town romance with one top tier dirty talking mechanic!
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Reese and Decker meet when she has car trouble on the way to her mother's. When assumptions are made these two end up fake dating each other. He's a great guy who is perfect for her. Once he's all in, he's going to convince her that it can be real. I enjoyed the storyline, as usual it was well done. The characters were fun to get to know and you wanted them to make it work. Overall another good romance for the Country Love series
