When Evie decides to break out of her shell a little bit at college she never imagined she would end up befriending the most powerful guys on campus. Becoming part of their group opens her eyes to a whole new world, one where she doesn't have to face everything alone. That's easier said than done when someone from her past comes back to haunt her, bringing problems to her door that she doesn't know how to solve. She doesn't have to though. Once the guys make it clear they're all in she knows there's nothing they can't face, together, even when bigger problems come knocking.
This is a reverse harem, why choose romance, where the main female character ends up with multiple love interests. Please check the trigger warnings, but rest assured they do get their HEA.
DNF 37% usually I don’t rate books I don’t finish but it wouldn’t change if I read the whole thing.
MFMMM - the FMC is Not Like Other Girls. She has NLOG classic features such as wearing sneakers with her dresses, doesn’t sleep with guys, is inexperienced with going to parties, and with the exception of her one token girlfriend, every other girl character in the book is a slutty bitch who picks on her 🙄🙄🙄
It was also common for two independent sentences to be connected by commas instead of using a period. It’s annoying when you’re repeatedly noticing punctuation errors instead of enjoying the story.
3.5 So, I'm still trying to figure out if I like this author or not. This is my second book I've read from her, but there's something about the way her books are written that I just can't get past. Aside from the grammar mistakes here and there, some scenes seem so rushed that should matter more and other scenes are so long and unimportant that they drag on forever. I think this book could have had its focus in other areas, if that makes sense. But I love the MMCs so much that I kept reading and finished the book. It was a predictable but altogether satisfying ending.
It was a cute story However, the writing style was hard for me to follow. Scenes would jump every other paragraph. Hard to figure out who was talking when Especially since whoever’s pov it was they were telling us what everyone was doing instead of the characters telling us then for a few sentences characters would talk to us and once again back to a MC telling us what characters are doing.
I really wanted to like it, but from the beginning I realized I wouldn't love it. The writing and storytelling was too superficial – especially in the beginning. I never really felt like I understood the guys's fascination with Evie until they actually started to get to know her much later in the story. Still, I did like the idea of the story, which is why I chose to finish it.
Contemporary reverse harem, stand alone. This is what it is. It's Insta love with resistance from a few harem members. Freshman college woman, a virgin, raised in foster care, meets the college it boys. They all gradually fall in love with her and once the relationship begins it's a love fest. The beginning is quite tender and sweet. We never know why she was in foster care but she has retained a child like innocence despite a creepy experience. There's lots of mean girl drama, and a sweet bff. The men are all participating in illegal underground fights, despite their wealthy upbringing. Evie has a creepy stalker, and a creepier ex foster father. The final action plot is just silly. The book would have been better without it. The book just ends with an orgy. No conclusion.
By far, one of the BEST books I’ve read!! I love a good RH and why choose and boi 😅 I was hooked within the first couple of chapters!! I loved the FMC because she was so new to everything. The innocence that she has and the learning curve she goes through is an amazing thing to experience. The boys. Man I can’t choose!!! I want them all!! Gunner and Pierce are my favorites if I HAD the pick but if I could just have all 4, my life would be complete!! The protection, the fun and witty, and the SPICE 🥵🥵🥵 definitely leaves you wanting more!! Would 100% re-read just to have these characters in my life for eternity!
I really liked this book. The lead female has a real sad background story but because of that she is a strong young woman who really tries to get out of her comfort zone. The guys are strong young men who know what they want but also are really caring. Pierce was it for me but the other are not bad either. I read that this is the first book for this author but I couldn’t see that in her writing or grammar, no this was a really good read/ story and I wouldn’t mind reading more of her.
Evelyn is A scholarship student from the foster care. Evie trying to survive. Evie went to a party needed protection meets a kind and handsome guys, Beck, named Beckham his brother Pierce or Pierceton, by blood, and other brothers by adopting of togetherness, of brotherhood Maddox, and Gunner. Gunner is from her past in foster care system as Lucus. This is a beautiful story. I recommend this one. It's one female and four guys with different personalities making a family.
I enjoyed this book. I liked all the characters. It moved pretty quickly simply because it was a standalone but I liked it. Needs a few grammatical edits but not many. Mostly commas and such. I liked the guys a lot. This easily could have been multiple books and developed the plot lines a little more, but honestly it’s a book about the relationships first and I loved it.
Wow. Evie was really up against life in every direction. It seemed like no matter how many steps forward she would take, she’d be forced right back by something new . Thankfully she had her four men by her side through it all. They really were quite the group and I love how well they all meshed together. Each personality was so different I loved it. Great plot, incredibly spicy smut and a hea! I loved it
I really liked Evie and her men. Evie has had a hard life, and never really had anyone to rely on. When she starts college, she decides to try to get out of her comfort zone and meets Beck, Pierce, Gunnar, and Maddox. I really liked seeing their relationship with Evie grow. This story has steam, twists, and some great relationships This is the first story I have read by this author, and I’ll definitely be checking out her future books,
3.5 stars, overall, I liked this story, and while there are quite a few editing errors (lots of missing commas), I still really enjoyed the characters. As a whole, it seemed like Evie could not catch a break. Every single creep wanted to bother her. She has really poor luck and was pretty clumsy. I'm glad they were able to work through everything for their happy ending.
I really needed this book. I've been in a slump. Just reading books but not enjoying them. This book I really ENJOYED!!! For me, this was a light read. I usually live and breath dark romance. There's definitely some drama outside the harem. It kept the story really flowing. No cheating!
I loved the guys and Evie! This book definitely gave a lot of ups and downs, spice, and gasp moments. Beck, Gunnar, Maddox, & Pierce gave me a nice palate cleanser between my darker reads, but it wasn’t too fluffy either. Def recommend
