This book was such a fun ride! A lovable hitman with a sharp fashion sense and a demon prince who’s way too cheerful? Sign me up. Damon is tough, independent, and fully capable of handling himself, but Mori would give him the world if he could. What I loved most is that Mori is fiercely protective without ever undermining Damon’s strength. He respects his skills and choices, which makes their relationship feel balanced and real.
The chemistry between them is palpable. From the very beginning, their connection is undeniable, and the way they interact just made me smile. Damon may be a killer, but he’s got layers, and Mori is the perfect chaotic but loving force to crash into his life.
I also really enjoyed the world-building. The mix of crime, supernatural elements, and romance was well done, and the story had a great balance of action, humor, and swoon-worthy moments. Damon and Mori just work together, and watching them navigate their growing relationship was a delight.
If you love assassin romance, supernatural vibes, and a demon prince who will do anything for his man, April’s Fool is definitely worth the read!
