Far from home, a father makes a secret deal with the devil to secure his family’s future.

Alone on their rural homestead, his wife and child continue to eke out a quiet living, quietly counting the days until he returns.

When the mother of all earthquakes rips North and South America apart, the family’s survival skills will be tested more than they ever realize as they fight to survive - and reunite - in the face of overwhelming odds.

From the best-selling authors who brought you Storm’s Fury and Zero Hour comes a new story of hope and survival in the shadow of the apocalypse.

***

Aftershocks is an epic (100k+ words per book) post-apocalyptic survival thriller where characters are king. Preppers and the unprepared alike, loving families, devastating betrayals, shocking twists and turns and more all abound in this series from authors Justin Bell and Mike Kraus, who birthed hit titles like Darkness Rising, Zero Hour, Last Light and Storm’s Fury. This post-apocalyptic thriller will keep you up late at night as you explore a world that’s both eerily familiar and spine-tinglingly realistic.

***

Mike Kraus & Muonic Press are the #1 producing and selling indie press publishing post-apocalyptic tales, for good reason. Since capturing audience’s attention with Final Dawn in 2012, Kraus has captivated and delighted his readers, both with his solo projects like Epoch's End, The End of All things, Surviving the Fall and No Sanctuary, and with his co-authored projects with authors like Justin Bell, Kate Pickford, Tara Ellis, Kenny Soward and others on titles such as Zero Hour, MELT, Flashpoint and Weathering the Storm.

Just short of 5 stars

I started reading this just to have something to read before bed, but was so engrossed by it that all of a sudden it was 3am... Since I'm retired, I find I have all kinds of time to read, nap, then continue reading. Justin Bell and Mike Kraus did a great job on this. I live near to LA and my son lived in Escondido, so I could picture the scenes in my minds eye. Being that I have been to El Paso, Juarez and actually live in the California desert, I can imagine how it looks to live where they do. I'm also an Army veteran, so it helped with the weapons they used.
The only thing I found only slightly annoying was that there were a few times that they would be talking about someone like Rico, but then the name James would be there instead .. Mostly in the last few books, but I was able to insert the real name after the first time it happened .
(Actually, this is Barbara's husband Michael who has read the book, but I can't figure out how to change the name on my Kindle)...

Great story!

Thoroughly enjoyed the story with so much adventure and twists and turns throughout it. Kept me glued to it throughout all 6 books. Would love for it to continue on at least another few chapters into the future to see at least the story continue on and know how each of the survivors lives finally ended up. I always hate that the end just gets you past the dangers and they survive but then never goes on further. All in all I highly recommend this series.

Justin Bell strikes again

Fantastic read, good strong, well rounded characters, and a real page turner from beginning to end. This is a fast paced, thrilling journey, that will keep you glued to the pages. However, I give a word of advice. Don't bother with individual books, just buy the set!.

excellent series

This was a great series. Moving from one book to the next was smooth without half the book being repetitive. The action and interaction of characters and their survival kept me involved to the end.

An interesting storyline.

An engrossing story but I read all 6 books at one time. By the fifth book I was really tired of Armando as story and ready to be done with it. It wasn't until half way through the sixth book that my interest picked back up.

Amazing story from the first page to the last.

I couldn’t read fast enough. Around every corner there were answers I was looking for. Completely satisfied reading. I will probably read this again in a year or two. It deserves a second reading.

Found this series quite engaging and would happily read more from these authors.
What I can see as real life problems in scenarios like this managed without silly solutions.

Great adventure

Interesting take on disaster and recovery. Putting people between to bad groups of people and watching those in the middle grow and learn about survival.

what a page turner

Such an awesome read. At times I found myself having to take a break from the story as it was so intense. These authors wrote such a realistic series that it takes your breath away at times. The characters go through many adventures and are so believable. The plot was certainly a page turner. I loved their work and happily recommend this book for everyone over 16.
