A nice introductory to intermediate guide to open the world of wine to the casual imbiber. There is an emphasis on excellent wines at a low price.

This is a friendly, enthusiastic, guidebook to the world of wine. You can use it as a reference book or read it through, learning cool facts about all sorts of wines as you go. There are plenty of food pairing suggestions, and the authors focus on wine that is affordable and that tastes good. They obviously know a lot about wine and have tasted the really expensive bottles, but they don’t try to push a person beyond their price point. This book will remain an active companion for me as I choose wine for cooking or for drinking in celebration.
