I don't understand how Bryce Keene is able to write a mafia romance that is dark and gritty revolving around a serial killer getting revenge, in a way that feels lighthearted and fun. It's a true talent that keeps me coming back to her books again and again. There's something about the way the book is written that makes it so easy to digest and after a tense scene, there's a perfectly paired follow up scene that brings you back down and sets the pace again. I love it!
I really enjoyed the story of this one, the revenge story line is one I always enjoy and I didn't expect the end to go the way it did. I really hope we get a follow up sequel of Giulio and Sophie because wow the tension was amazing between them and I absolutely love Sophie as a character. Especially as we saw more about her revealed.
Keene's writing makes this almost 400 page book fly by. All the books I've read by her so far have been really quick to read, easily digestible and simple to follow which I find is a hard task when it comes to mafia romance. I always know if I fancy a mafia romance, to check her books out first because I'm guaranteed to have a good time.
The spicy scenes are some of my favourites from any book I've read. No cringe terms that take you out of a story, everything feels realistic and well explained. They are paced well and there were quite a lot in this book so definitely one for the steamy lovers!
I do want to say something about this book that would be a spoiler so I can't fully explain but basically I wish a certain scene at the end involving two of the characters had been much more heartbreaking. I felt there was no sadness in that moment when really there should have been after the friendship we saw develop so well through the book. All round the end did feel a bit emotionless just compared to how I would have expected it to go with the things that were happening.
Trying to stay spoiler free is so hard, I hope that makes some sense 😂
Basically pick this book up if you're a mafia romance fan or if you're new to mafia romance because this book (and the authors others) are such great gateways into the sub genre. Plus this is my favourite book I've read by her so far!

Another amazing fun twisted read I couldn’t put down Rachel was been through so much for just being 26 years old but that doesn’t stop her from showing people what she’s capable of! This book is full of so many things to enjoy and get lost in like murder crimes, mystery, revenge for the love ones, and so much intense sexual tension. It’s definitely a page turner with a surprising ending I didn’t see coming but so happy about with the different endings I think there is/ hoping the is a sequel to to this book for Rachel best friend Sophia and the guy main character brother! You can definitely feel the tension wanting between these two but they are too invested in there duties to realize what’s in front of them! Get ready for a crazy challenge dark with lots of emotions, feelings of betrayal and some self hatred! Just me it’s worth the read the characters amazing strong people who are great at proving the world their more than what they were born to be.

Any book that evokes the need for Little Girl Gone by CHINCHILLA and I Wanna Be Your Slave by Maneskin is an absolute for me. I'm sure my fellow dark romance book girlies, bro's, and those would agree. "I feel dizzy and light headed as he uses his whole body to press me against the wall." Yeah, that's basically how I felt reading this book. Between the unaliving, BDSM/spicy scenes, and the sexual tension Alessandro and Rachel emanate... I mean, what can I tell you other than to read the book! There are some twists just enjoy them as much as Alessandro enjoys dominating in the bedroom. *sly smirk* Great job Bryce. You are a Mafia Romance elite.

This is another great read by this author. Who can resist a female unaliver and a mafia don with a side of BDSM? This is a story of revenge, family, and steam.
Rachel and Alessandro burn up the pages. You are grabbed by the first page and your interest never leaves. This book had action, twists, and turns. I loved it. This author is quickly becoming one of my “must buy” authors. She writes strong characters with dark themes and adds just enough spice to not overwhelm the plot. The side characters are just as interesting, and I hope they get a story too. You will get a HEA but it will be quite the ride on the road to get there.

What happens when a mafia Don meets an FBI Agent/assassin??? Uh Trouble (did you notice the capital T???) He’s trying to protect his family…she’s trying to avenge hers….who knew a chance encounter & blurred lines could cause so much trouble
Alessandro is the true meaning behind burning the entire world to the ground for the love of a woman….Im just glad he got through to her before it was to late
Would I recommend this book??? Yes, but you have to pay attention to whose POV the chapter belongs to…the chapters aren’t marked & some take a paragraph or two to figure out….other than that I loved the book…it’s a spicy read with a lot of plot…the best kind

What a roller coaster!
This book hooks you within the first chapter.
It begins with where Rachel's story starts so there are no flash backs through story. I tricks you and spins you with the added views of key characters in the story.
Heart felt scenes, spice scenes and you truly feel the emotions as the story goes.
The end felt a little rushed but the extended epilogue hits home and answers all your questions.
Mid way through you start to experience the next book in the series with the inclusions of guillos pov.

ohhhh I really enjoyed this one
Bryce Keen is a master at the mafia romance! Some of my absolute favorites are written by her. Undercover desires follows la costa nostra crime family and their attempts to discover who the serial killler is that is taking out their men. Alessandro has taken over for his father after his death. But what happens when he meets a beautiful woman and they begin an affair. It all comes to a head when it turns out that the serial killer isn’t a man at all and in fact a lot closer that he ever expected

I found myself a little confused with this one. Her ‘work’ mentioned in the very beginning and what she actually does.
He does fall first and he falls hard .. even though she is strong she submits to him which becomes their undoing.
An interesting twist on the Mafia romance for sure.

Thrilling and Emotionally Intense
I could not put this story down as it had everything from a thrilling mystery to intense emotional connections. Rachel and Alessandro both have secrets that push the story forward which made for an intriguing and exciting read.

I am a huge fan of this author I happened to stumble upon a few months ago. So glad I did! This author always knows how to give the readers what they love. This story of Alessandro and Rachel is no different. Loved this from the very beginning to the last page. Such a great 5* read as always. Cannot wait to see what comes next. Mafia Romance has quickly become

Good read. Rachael is after all the bosses in the mafia for what happened to her mother. Alessandro is the boss of the Rocci mafia. This two meet but they don't know what the other is doing. This is a great story some light BDSM. The only thing is I feel sorry for his brother. You will have to read to see why.

Alessandro and Rachel are both out for vengeance and find each other at the most unexpected time. Rachel is strong and determined to complete her mission and Alessandro is determined to win her over. This book was full of thrilling twists and turns that kept surprising me. Hoping for a sequel!

I really like this book! It's Alessandro & Rachael's story & they have one to tell! This book has it all, action, twists, turns & of course spice. Highly recommend this book & author!
