“Pawsable Cause and the Bow Wow Bakery” by Belinda Page I received a free copy of “Pawsable Cause and the Bow Wow Bakery” by Belinda Page prior to release for publication as a member of the author’s ARC team. I am writing this review voluntarily and with complete honesty. This was a highly enjoyable book from page 1 right through the very last paragraph. Sophie Harrington owns the Bow Wow Bakery where she makes sugary treats for both humans and dogs, and even has a stash of handmade treats for cats. Sophie’s “weenie” dog, Dachshund, Max, has a tendency to find dead bodies and he finds one just outside the fence of his favorite dog park. Sophie’s boyfriend who is a Sheriff is very supportive. His boss, on the other hand is not. Regardless, Sophie, and her best friend Hadley, who owns Needlework Trading Post and specializes in hand made knit vests and sweaters for dogs, and Max, continue to investigate the murder of Robbie Welsh, a well-known track runner winner. He was found by Max slightly off the jogging path with his head down in a body of water. While Sophie doesn’t like to leave murders unsolved, she also doesn’t want people to be afraid to come to the dog park. Just before Max found the dead body, Sophie found the notice at the dog park that the dog park was being closed due to lack of funding from the city. Sophie contacts every dog owner and anyone who runs a business involving dogs and arranges a massive fund raiser to save the dog park. Throughout the book, the author is intertwining Sophie’s work as amateur detective and fundraiser organizer and sponsor. Amazingly, the author does not confuse any details or lose readers’ attention. Join our lovable characters from the small town of Glenwood Falls for the exciting conclusion of the murder mystery, the fun of the dog show, and a surprise ending. Definitely fun story with great human and not human characters! Looking forward to Sophie and Max’s next adventure!
Pawsable Cause and the Bow Wow Bakery is the fourth book in the Doggy Bakery Cozy Mystery series. It was perfect, I really enjoyed it! The main character, Sophie, is very likeable. She’s a positive person who cares for the people (& their pets) in her community. She owns a bakery that makes baked goods for dogs and humans. I enjoy hearing about the ingredients she uses in her doggie baked goods. Her BFF, Hadley, owns a crochet/knitting shop down the street from the bakery. The two ladies support each other, and try their hardest to keep their community safe. I love all the positive vibes Sophie, Hadley, and Sophie’s bakery assistant, Erin, bring throughout the book (all the giggling and cute exclamations!) Sophie has a cute weenie dog (Max) who is with her most of the time. The mystery was well thought out, and believable. Sophie and Hadley don’t make seriously risky moves to solve the mystery (dog, phone, mace just in case… check). The romance aspect in the book is light, and sweet. The books in this series are the perfect length for me - they move at a great pace, without a lot of unnecessary fillers. I look forward to the next in the series!

I love this series it combines two of my favorite things dogs and baking. The twist with Rey was masterful and unexpected. Highly recommend!
Spring is in the air in Glenwood Falls and Sophie and Max are taking advantage of the warmer weather to play in the town's dog park. Sophie sees a notice saying the park is closing due to lack of funds to maintain it. While playing catch Max takes off through a hole in the park fence and comes back with a watch. Sophie asks him to show her where he got it and she finds a dead body in the woods. The person is Robbie Welsh a local marathon runner. Sophie and Erin decide to throw a fundraising event to help the dog park and get overwhelming support from the community. Meanwhile there are two more attacks on marathon runners. Sophie decides they need to help with the investigation so she and Hadley lay a trap for the attacker and catch him with the help from the police department.

PAWSABLE CAUSE AND THE BOW WOW BAKERY is the fourth installment of A Doggy Bakery Cozy Mystery series written by Belinda Page and my introduction to this author. I enjoyed this story and look forward to more.
There is the right amount of mystery and it's full of doggy cuteness. Loved it!
A dark cloud seems to be hanging over Glenwood Falls, again. The residents are starting to enjoy the warm sunshine when Max finds a dead body and Sophie discovers the dog park is closing. It will take some unauthorized sleuthing by Sophie, Max and Hadley, her BFF, to sniff out the killer. Sophie will also need to enlist the townspeople to help save the dog park. That's a lot for a baker. Get ready to enjoy this fun story
If you love dogs and cozy mysteries, this book is the one to curl up with.

An ingenious kind-hearted sleuth, a super cute dog, good friends and a quaint small town setting with a dash of humor and oh yes... a good old-fashioned murder mystery to solve- what more could you ask for?!
This was not the most complex mystery I've ever read and I did guess the culprit before the big reveal, but it was still good fun. A perfect book for curling up and reading away an afternoon with, this quick read was well written and kept me entertained.
It's probably a plus to have read the other books in the series first, since some relationships are already established, but I had no problem following along with the plot and didn't feel anything was spoiled for me.
If you are looking for an easy-going cozy with a touch of (clean) romance, this is a good choice.

One morning Sophie took Max to the dog park & sees a notice to say it’s closing. Then Max rushes off & manages to get through a hole in the fence & discovers a dead body. So, once again, Sophie finds a dead person!! It seems he’s a champion athlete trying for a marathon. Sophie gets a lot of people agreeing that the dog park must be saved, local businesses chip in & it is turning into a big event. Meanwhile two more athletes get injured & people start to cancel their plans of running in the race. Knowing this must be cleared up before the big “save the dog park day” Sophie & her friend Hadley come up with a plan which works & they catch the culprit. All the effort & help makes the organisation of the fundraising a huge success. A very enjoyable book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this cosy mystery! I was drawn to it by the title - dogs and a bakery. I love the first and live in the second! Having said that, I quickly grew to like Sophie, and Max was immediately in my heart. What I enjoyed about this book, though, was the fact that it wasn’t one dimensional. I loved the way the author integrated the dog park fundraiser, the investigation into the murder and further attacks, and Sophie’s relationship with Rey. Along with this was the reminder of how important good friends are, and that to get you have to give. The story moved at pace, but at a pace which held my interest fully. I’m, already, looking forward to reading more by this author.

What a great read. I couldn't put this book down from word 1 to the last word. Brilliantly written with very engaging characters. I love a good cosy mystery and this book didn't disappoint. Fantastic storyline 👏 I was totally immersed in the plot, loving the characters and falling in love with it all. I won't spoil the joy and pleasure of reading this book, I will however recommend it with the highest of praise and know all who read it will thoroughly enjoy it and be left wanting more as I was. Belinda Page has impressed me with this book and I now have to go and read the previous books in this series and all her books, I'm hooked. (I am very pleased to now be a member of the ARC team and look forward to reading all books by Belinda Page)
A deliciously described addition to the Bow Wow Bakery series.
Author Belinda Page knows how to whip up a comfortable mystery that's believable as well as full of spirit. Her love of animals and baking is reflected in her writing.
The series can be read out of order but you'd still understand everything.
It's set in the Spring and once again the main character Sophie and her dog Max are in the middle of another murder mystery. It always seems to happen when they're enjoying themselves that they stumble upon a crime.
This time there's a lot of pressure on Sophie as she goes through so much chaos.
When marathon runners are attacked, the motive is obvious. Someone wants to eliminate competition ... most likely to guarantee a victory. The question is obvious: who benefits? Deduction should be simple: See who is next most likely to win, but who probably would have lost to one (or more) of those already eliminated. However, things aren't always as they seem and sometimes a glaringly obvious clue is overlooked. Who was willing to kill another runner - and was winning the marathon the only reason for the murder? "Pawsable Cause" is a good title for a novel with more than one victory for the four-footed in its pages.
Pawsable Cause and The Bow Wow Bakery is book #4 in the Doggy Bakery Cozy Mystery series by Belinda Page.
As if running a bakery and investigating murders didn’t keep Sophie Harrington busy enough, she organizes a fundraiser to save the local dog park.
This was a fun book. I liked Sophie’s concern about the fundraiser being successful since she’d never led one before. I suspected who the guilty party was but not the why. It was a feel-good story with the community pulling together for a good cause. I might have geared up at the end. The ending was great and I can’t wait for the next book.

4-1/2 stars. 4th in series. Sophie & her adorable dachsund Max own The Bow Wow Bakery in Glenwood Falls, making treats for dogs & their people. Their beloved local dog park is being closed due to lack of funding, so Sophie & friends Hadley & Erin plan a fundraiser to save it. But Max leads Sophie to a drowned runner near the park, putting the fundraiser in jeopardy. Can Sophie sort through the "pawsable" suspects & save the dog park? Read this charming cozy filled with loveable pets & people to find out. I loved the relationships between the characters & look forward to another book in series.

A well written and charming cozey mystery with murder. The array of familiar characters and new colorful and vibrant will draw you into this cozey and of course this wouldn't be a mystery without a deadly schemer hidden in plain sight causing fear in town. While the plot carries you from one event to another it keeps your attention held turning page after page until you've reached its unexpected finnally. Acquire " Pawsable Cause and The Bow Wow Bakery " (4th in the Series)so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. Kat
This was a very cute and fun read. Sophie finds out that the city is going to close down the dog park so she decides to have a fund raiser and gets the town involved. Of course her and her dog Max do tend to attract trouble, Max finds a dead body just outside of the park. There are two parts to this story, (1) keeping the dog park opened and (2) finding out who killed the jogger and who is trying to keep people from running in the marathon. A good read that will make you laugh. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.
Pawsable Cause and the Bow Wow Bakery is part of a delightful series with an ongoing slow burn romance. It can also be read as a stand-alone cozy mystery.
Sophie and her dachshund Max with the help of her boyfriend Officer Rey have to solve a murder quickly or the fundraiser to save the dog park will be totally ruined.
Great characters and a terrific cozy mystery make this a perfect addition to this series. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.

This is a fun, entertaining, cozy read. I enjoyed the characters and how they were depicted. The various relationships made this a more enjoyable experience for me. I enjoyed the mystery and how it was solved – I love that the amateur sleuth was the one to solve the mystery and not have the solution land in their lap. The small town atmosphere gives this story the vibes I love.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The dog park is going to close. Sophie organises a fundraiser. One day Max finds the body of a marathon runner. Boyfriend Rey is acting off. Can Sophie handle all this. I just loved this story. I received this book as an Arc from the author and I’m leaving a review because I want to. I’ve read a lot of this series and this might be one of my favorites. After finding out the dog park was closing because of funding, some people get together to organize a fundraiser. A local marathoner is murdered in the woods near the park. It puts the event in danger. Highly recommended!
I have never read anything by Belinda Page before, OMG this was fantastic! Sophie Harrington runs and owns a dog/ human bakery; Max's Bow Wow Bakery. While Sophie and her best friend Hadley have their dogs at the dog park, they notice a sign that states the dog park will be closing due to lack of funding. Sophie decides to do a fund raiser to save the dog park. How does that work out, and can she save the dog park? Love the plot, great setting and strong intense interesting characters.

I received a free advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily providing my honest review. Sophie and Max stumble across a body near the dog park. Sophie is trying to save the dog park and is afraid that the murder and then other attacks will hurt the chances of that happening. It costs her $600.00 but she solves the murder. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.
Sophie is on a new mission to save the local dog park that is being shut down due to budget constraints. Max, her precocious dachshund leads her to a body of a local runner just outside the park. Now Sophie is worried that the fundraiser she's working on will be in jeopardy.
This cozy mystery makes your mouth water as Sophie describes the baking she is doing for humans and for dogs! Her organisation of a fundraiser for the local dog park allows the introduction of more town characters. The way her roles as fundraiser and amateur detective are intertwined is well done. I received an ARC from the author, but my opinion is given voluntarily.
