A cowboy. A cactus. And my eight-year-old daughter.

That’s how I end up having dinner with the hottest guy I’ve ever laid eyes on. My relationship history is a trail of horrible mistakes. Well, two, but they were really big. Now I’m a single mom, and I have no plans to date. But since my daughter has decided that Anderson is the best thing since sliced bread, I feel the need to spend time with him to know if he’s a good guy.

One dinner turns into two, and he helps me move. Then I kiss him. One kiss turns into two, and I agree to date him as long as we keep it a secret because I don’t want my daughter to know (or be disappointed if I find I’ve made another mistake).

But keeping secrets in a small town isn’t always easy to do.

“I promise that I’m not going to be mean or heartless to your little girl. And if you give me a chance with your heart, I won’t break that either.“

I love reading while I’m wrapped up in a cozy blanket, and reading this story felt just like that. It’s sweet and heartwarming, funny and romantic, and has characters I fell completely in love with.

Anderson is a tall and handsome cowboy, with a loyal heart and fun personality. When he meets Primrose he falls first and he falls hard. He’s such a good guy!

Primrose is attracted to him from their first encounter as his nurse, but as a single mom who’s been burned twice, she’s cautious about falling in love and making the same mistakes again. She’s also got her daughter’s heart to look after and protect.

Primrose has walls that seem impenetrable, but Anderson patiently and lovingly pulls them all down. Their relationship and romance was wonderful! 💕

I loved Primrose’s smart and quirky daughter, Bailey. Her little heart was crushed by her stepdad, but she starts to emotionally heal, thanks to Anderson. The scenes between these two were fun, but also really sweet and tender.

What I loved:
💙 Meet cute 🌵
💙 Fred
💙 He falls first
💙 Found family
💙 Single parent
💙 Curvy FMC
💙 One bed
💙 Secret dating
💙 Conch shell pendant
💙 Cowboy romance
💙 Small town
💙 Dual POV
💙 Closed door
💙 HEA

I adore the Cowboys of Stargazer Springs Series, and I think this one is my new favorite. It’s book 7 in the series but can be read as a standalone.

Many thanks to the author for a copy!

I knew I was going to love Anderson’s story, but I didn’t know that his romance with Primrose would be so funny, relatable, emotional, swoony, make me laugh out loud and shed some tears, unputdownable, and #superbingeable.

Anderson is a tall giant of a cowboy, and he falls first, and hard. Primrose is smitten from the beginning but it takes her some time to allow herself to fall for the sweet and flirty cowboy. She’s a single mom who’s been burned and is looking out for not only her heart, but her daughter’s heart. Seriously, this book got me in all my mama feels. I loved her quirky daughter, Bailey, who is obsessed with cacti and finds a friend in Mason (if you haven’t met Mason yet, he's the cutest most observant kid on the ranch).

This story has all the found family, he falls first, curvy FMC, single parent, one-bed, secret dating, sweet cowboy romance, small-town tropes your little heart could desire.

Anderson, Primrose, and Bailey are just the SWEETEST. This is a super swoony single mom, cinnamon roll cowboy romcom filled with flirty banter, “secret” dating, breaking down walls, and so much heartwarming sweetness!

Things I Loved:
-Bailey
-“I’m not a doodlebug. I’m a girl.”
-Hilarious meet-cute
-Animaniacs references
-Fred
-DeeDee
-Headphones
-Now we’re level 🫠
-Honey
-I just love Mason
-Brooke
-Overheard conversation
-“When Archer and Dallas are giving me the same advice, the universe is flashing a neon sign in my face.”
-“Mason was right!”
-The whole ending, epilogue, and bonus epilogue!

I just loved Anderson to pieces. He was so fun and flirty, yet patient and selfless. Mason’s appearances were just hilarious and adorable—and Bailey stole my heart with her quirky, sweet self. There was so much healing and heart in this one. Another Stargazer Springs Cowboy win, for sure.

Trigger warning:
Past loss of parents, past abandonment in a relationship with child. Handled with care and not too heavy.

Thank you to the author for my gifted copy, all thoughts are my own.

I fell in love with this book during the first chapter, and it wasn't even a long one. Why? The characters! The female MC Primrose and her 8 year old daughter Bailey stole my heart. Then in chapter 2, we meet the male MC, Anderson, and I couldn't be more smitten. He's a big muscular hunk of a cowboy who was so sweet with Bailey.

The love of the main characters never let up. And I loved the supporting characters too.

This is sweet swoony make you happy romance. Such a beautiful feel good story.

This is book 7 in a series, but having not read any of the other books, I didn't feel like I missed anything. I don't know anything about the other books so there may be some character crossovers, but this one is is totally worth diving into!

Reader’s Notes:

– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Primrose & Anderson’s points of view

– Primrose and her daughter are still dealing with the effects from the way Primrose’s past two relationships ended (neither relationship was good, which Primrose realized after the fact & she is actively trying to avoid similar relationships from happening; we only meet one of the ex’s themselves in the story)

– (^ goes with the above note) Primrose’s daughter shies away/doesn’t speak to men outside her family

– Primrose sees Anderson’s bare back end due to her work as a nurse

– Anderson & his sister lost their parents at a young age in an accident

Review:

I absolutely adored Anderson, Primrose, & Bailey’s story! Bailey was adorable and I loved her growth in comfort level as she latched onto Anderson’s gentle giant personality/looks combination. I loved that Anderson was great with Bailey, even before knowing about her aversion to speaking to adult guys. He was sweet, patient, and kind to her and made her feel seen/heard. (It was also really fun to see Bailey’s interests change throughout the story and for Anderson to recognize & encourage her interests!) I also loved that he made Primrose feel the same way went it came to herself. I loved that Anderson knew that there was likely more to Primrose’s story that made it so that she was wary of dating and was willing to be especially sensitive and patient when it came to starting and later announcing their relationship to others. I loved Primrose’s family dynamic with her parents and siblings (one of which being Parker from More Than a Silly Crush!) and that they wanted Primrose and Bailey to be happy. I loved that though they were excited about the development of a relationship between Primrose & Anderson, they were also just plain excited to get to know Anderson and to welcome him as if he were family.

Also, I am so curious to see what Dallas’s story is going to be like after the hint given to us at the end!

Summary:

Primrose hasn’t been looking for love, just trying to make a good life for her and her daughter Bailey. But in order to get everything done to get to that point, Primrose finds herself leaning more and more on her family for Bailey’s care while Primrose is working. She never expected that her daughter would end up finding a man that Bailey would want as her new father by way of a cactus on her uncle’s watch. Primrose also never thought she’d be drawn out by the gentle giant to once more dream of a happy family of her own…

Anderson hasn’t had the time to date in the past many years due to situations that arose, but he still hopes to one day have a family of his own. He never thought he’d meet the woman of his dreams in the ER as the nurse assigned to help him out of his unexpected predicament. Nor did he expect that she’d be the mother of the little girl that accidentally brought him into this situation in the first place. Not that Anderson’s complaining…

“She walks away, and just before rounding the corner, she glances back at me. So I wink. She is my kind of attractive, and the more I talk to her, the more attracted I am.”

Another chef’s kiss to Remi for another incredible cowboy story! This series just keeps getting better with every book! Remi is a master at weaving clean cowboy stories with enough heat to start a fire! I’m always in awe at how she does it!

Anderson was a dreamboat in a cowboy hat! He was literally a tall glass of water! He was funny, handsome, kind, passionate, caring, and gentle. He was smitten with Primrose from the moment he met her and showed her in so many beautiful ways! He was a man who knew what he wanted and knew he would do whatever it took to win Prim’s heart.

Primrose was a curvy single mom who had had her heart broken too many times. She had a hard time trusting her own decisions with men, but Anderson was so patient and understanding with Prim.

I loved any moment with Bailey! She was precious and I loved her relationship with Anderson. They had a special bond from the beginning that stole my heart. And Dallas!!! I can’t say enough about how much I love Dallas! He needs a happily-ever-after in the best way!!

This was such a beautiful story woven with tender scenes that’s will melt your heart, while delivering on all the romance to knock your socks off! I can’t recommend this book enough, y’all!!

This can be read as a standalone! But I recommend reading this whole series! You will love them all!

More Than a Helping Hand is the 7th book in the Cowboys of Stargazer Springs Ranch series. While you'll definitely see familiar characters if you've read the previous book, this could definitely be enjoyed as a standalone as well with no confusion.

I absolutely LOVE a good meet-cute... and my favorites are those that are funny and awkward. This story certainly has that. I won't give away all the details... but it involved a cactus and it had me laughing out loud! So good! Anderson and Primrose are so sweet together. Their mutual attraction is pretty immediate, but having been burned in the past, Primrose is careful not to put her or her daughter's heart on the line too quickly. I love how understanding and patient Anderson is with their circumstances... you really couldn't help but fall for him with how very sweet he was! And the way he was with her daughter Bailey? Oh my goodness! Her character really helped to make this story, and I absolutely loved everything about it.

More Than a Helping Hand is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

**I received an ARC for consideration. All opinions are my own.

I've been excited about Anderson's story since the teaser in the previous interconnected book of the series. I dropped everything to read it as soon as I could and it did not disappoint. I was immediately hooked and could not stop reading.

Anderson meets little Bailey while she's visiting her uncle on the ranch. After an incident with her cactus, Fred sends Anderson to the hospital where he meets Primrose, Bailey's mom. Anderson falls first and hard, for both. I loved how he met and connected with Primrose and her daughter, Bailey separately.

This book made me giddy. It was such a sweet and heartwarming story. I found myself laughing out loud several times. It's full of funny and awkward moments. It's more! There were also some emotional moments as Primrose and Bailey heal from previous hurt.

The pacing was perfect. I liked the way Anderson and Primrose admitted to their mutual attraction but their relationship develops naturally. They take things slowly by dating and getting to know each other in secret.

Like the rest of the series, this is a clean romance with kissing and slight innuendos but nothing goes further.

A Cactus named Fred.🌵 Single parent nurse. Swoony, flirty cowboy (the best kind IMO) He Falls First. Found Family. Secret Relationship. Protective Hero. Mason and Bailey's friendship. Petting horses 🥺 Touches 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
It's always interesting when you read a book and have real life similarities. To avoid any potential spoilers I'll just say my MIL has a lot in common with Anderson's little sister.
My, oh my, this story! 🤌🏻🙌🏻🔥 Absolutely amazing. This very well may be my favorite of the series. Just so so good. Funny and sweet and all the feels. Highly recommend anything by Remi 💙

💕 Romantic Content: Just kisses

🗨Some Quotes :
"Thanks. And it was very nice to meet you…” He glances at my name badge. “Primrose.”
“You too, Mr. Lane.”
“Please call me Anderson. Call me anything you want. But I’d really like it if you called me.”

I hold her gaze. “You don’t know me, and I’m not going to bombard you with a sales pitch of all the reasons you should trust me. But without hesitation, I promise that I’m not going to be mean or heartless to your little girl. And if you give me a chance with your heart, I won’t break that either.”

Romance level: kissing 🔥

As always Pam (Remi) puts just the right amount of everything, of love, trouble, solutions... It's definitely a pleasure to read her books.

Their first interaction was priceless 😂 Anderson was so funny and direct. He is the best. I love how a sweetheart he is with Bailey. He is so all the way in with Primrose😍. I love him. I love how respectful he is with her fears & feelings. He's super respectful but also let her know how much he wants her.

I understood why Primrose was acting the way she was. However, the way Anderson and his family responded to that... It was just the right way.

I love how Anderson can also put his girls as a priority no matter what. I mean, the tree scene? 🌲😍. All the dates he planned & how thoughtful he is. This cowboy was something else.

The epilogue was the best!!!! Anderson was the cutest. This entire series is amazing. I love them Stargazer cowboys🥰

Wow! Unexpected!

I haven't had the opportunity to read a clean romance in a really long time.
Even with a good storyline, the sex has just been graphic.
And billionaires on every freaking street corner.
Not this book.
These are real people who live real lives.
The story was moving and interesting and fun to read.
It was like being wrapped in a cozy blanket on a cold night in front of a crackling fireplace.
There was a guaranteed happy ending that the hero and heroine completely deserved.
This was a wonderful read for a tired mind that needed a break from stress and heartache.
Good things truly can happen.
I appreciated this book on a deep level and plan to go back and read all of the books that are a part of this series even if I can't quite afford it right now.
I'll figure something out!
Happy reading!

4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars.

I've read half of this series and I've been loving all the books. More than a Helping Hand is Anderson's story, in which he meets Primrose under the craziest circumstances. He ends up sitting on her daughter's cactus.

"All these years, I've managed to avoid getting poked by a cactus, but it's finally happened. And I wasn't even outside."

Anderson is such a gem, and takes his time getting to know Primrose and her daughter Bailey. I love how his focus is on showing that he willing to be apart of every aspect of her life, even the messy ones. Primrose was such a great single mom and willing to do everything she could to make her daughter's life better. I really enjoyed seeing them fall in love together!

Content Considerations: The couple voluntarily chooses to share a bed. No sexual relations happen, but the decision bothered me.

Thank you to the author for the advance copy of this book. A positive reivew was not required.

Book Release and Review 🥳🥳🥳🥳

@phreypress has her newest Stargazer Ranch book, More Than a Helping Hand out today, and Anderson is HAWT! The whole cacti 🌵 emergency room scene. *swoon* I don’t know how she remained professional! And then Anderson’s interactions with Bailey, adorable!!!

I love Remi’s writing. Something about it is so easy to read. I took a break from my Christmas books when this dropped in my kindle, and I had it finished the next day!

Anderson is a sweet heart, but not shy about it like others have been. He sees what he wants and he goes for it. Even it that means keeping it secret for weeks. Primrose just isn’t so sure about men, in general. She’s been unlucky in love twice, and the last one hurt her little girl more than her; and she can’t stand for that to happen again. But the moment Bailey begins talking with Anderson, her heart was lost.

Also, it wasn’t specially stated, but I love the neurodivergence that Bailey displayed. Not sure if she’s just a brilliant 8 year old with some trauma, or on the spectrum, but she’s adorable and I want more of her!

Thank you Remi for my advanced ebook copy and for my swag that you sent! I always love seeing the “cowboy inside” package!!!

The Precocious Little Matchmaker -
Primrose had resigned herself to staying single and only concentrating on her daughter and work after her divorce, but she felt a connection with Anderson from the moment they met, that she tried to shy away from. Anderson’s heart was taken from his first interaction with Primrose’s daughter Bailey, but finding out the nurse who had attracted his attention was Bailey’s mum, made him feel like Christmas had come early for him.

Primrose and Anderson decided to take things slow and spend their time getting to know each other, as the potential repercussions if they didn’t get it right would be major. However, just as they resolved to Embarba on a relationship, Primrose’s insecurities caused her to doubt their budding romance and tried to end things. However, she realised that being apart from Anderson was not only hurting her, so she took the initiative to make sure she got the happy family life she craved.

This is a slow burn, that took me through so many emotions, I felt like I had just been on a rollercoaster ride. If you love to read small town romance stories that are filled with down to earth characters and an interesting storyline, then I recommend this awesome story for your reading pleasure.

I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Every time I come back to Stargazer Springs, I am reminded how much I love this series. I am going to be sad when the series ends after the next book. This is the 6th book in this series and it can be read on its own. You just won't have the back story on the other characters mentioned. I came in to the series a few books in. Once it's finished, I want to binge read this and the other related series in order. I think that would be fun.

This book had many tropes that I am not usually drawn to, but somehow I fell in love with all of them in this story. I understand where Primrose was coming from in her hesitations, but I would not have minded seeing her give a little more in the relationship to Anderson. He's a doll and deserves all the kindness in return.

I was gifted an advanced digital copy of this book by the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

More than just a romance, the heroine in this story has to conquer her past to wind up with the hero. Part of the "Cowboys of Stargazer Springs Series", this book contains all the hallmarks that you would expect of a Remi Carrington book: humour, well written side characters, romance and depth.

This like the other books in the series, is something I wanted to curl up and read until I finished it. It was an easy read with a good vibe to it. You could read this as a standalone but you'd miss out on the richness added by knowing the other characters in the series - so I do recommend reading those too.

I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.

Oh my! Anderson is so swoony, sweet, understanding, and loving, as well as somewhat sarcastic at times. Add in tall, good looking, and strong, and you have quite the package! Primrose has been hurt, as has her precious daughter Bailey, so she has a hard time trusting her judgment. I loved how well Anderson interacted with Bailey from the very beginning. He was also so wonderful and understanding with Primrose, but he kept things light sometimes with all of his flirting with her. I thoroughly enjoyed their journey to becoming a happy family. And I am really looking forward to Dallas's story.

I see Anderson with Bailey on her wedding day...maybe somewhere between 13 and 15 years in the future. His heart is so full as he walks his Munchkin down the aisle while holding his and Primrose's 3rd (or 4th) child...another Daddy's girl and a young boy on Bailey's other arm because brothers help Dad take care of their girls. Primrose and her sisters look on with shining eyes. Of course Bailey is marrying Mason.....lol. With each cowboy romance, I think "this one" is my favorite. And so far, that streak has held.

I absolutely loved this! Did not think it was possible for Remi to write a cowboy I love more than Kent, but Anderson just might have done it. He is SO swoony- protective, kind, and steps into that dad role for Bailey that will melt your heart. He cares for both her & Primrose beautifully. Another fabulous book to the Cowboys of Stargazers Springs!

Remi has done it again! This series is so good that when I received this book I put all my holiday books on pause so I could read it. Anderson is such a sweet guy and I love how supportive he is. Single parent stories can be hard to read sometimes but I loved how this romance played out and involved Bailey. This reads as a stand alone but is best enjoyed as part of the series of awesome cowboys!

Anderson is the perfect book boyfriend!!!! Primrose and her daughter Bailey have had a tough time. The author did a great job of making me "feel" what they were going through. Bailey takes to Anderson immediately. Loved how they bonded. Now if she can get her mommy to fall for Anderson too. A definite romance with instant chemistry but a great slow building romance. Stargazer Springs especially the ranch is one place I would at least love to visit. Always get excited to catch up with the characters from previous books. A really romantic ending. Hope this series never ends.

Cowboys of Stargazer Springs Ranch:
MORE THAN A LITTLE FLIRTING - Another interesting, funny, sweet romance that is so easy to get immersed in the pages. All three series have been so much fun to read.5*

MORE THAN A PAIR OF JEANS, #1 - Lovely. Funny. Cute. I had so much reading this sweet romance. Wonderful characters and interesting story lines. Written by a lovely Texan and set in Texas, complete with horses, cattle and goats. Cannot forget about the mice and kittens. Plenty of social media, too. Has a preview of the story. 5*

MORE THAN A PRETTY FACE, #2 - I just love this series. This story has such cute and sweet characters with plenty of humor. No silly mind games, just people trying to make a life with the person that they love while taking care of their friends. Living well, working hard and loving with all their hearts and souls. 5*

MORE THAN FALLING IN LOVE, #3 - Plenty of matchmakers in this cute, sweet romance. Mason has a great part and the rest of the Stargazer crew is right in the thick of it all. Well written. Lots of fun. Lots of romance in the works. 5*

MORE THAN A SILLY CRUSH, #4 - The Stargazer series, all three of them, have been nothing but entertaining, filled with love, humor and wonderful characters. Combined with well written and thoughtful story lines that meld all the books together, it is difficult to put any of these books down. This is a fun and loving story about patience and best friends. 5*

MORE THAN A GOOD FRIEND, #5 - I enjoy the dry sense of humor, not mean but cute bits here and there, as well as the regular funniness, and fun, for which the Stargrazer books are known. Ole Hidalgo finally grows up and sees Goldie as she actually is, instead of taken for granted. Lovely story. 5*

MORE THAN AN EX-GIRLFRIEND, #6 - I am always delighted to read books by Ms. Carrington, she never disappoints. There is a bit of intrigue, not perfect childhoods and a bit of interference that ruins a love. But there comes a possibility of a second chance ala Hailey Mills. For the younger folk, Lindsay Lohan. Plenty of humor, laughs and family to finish this well woven tapestry filled with good story lines and wonderful characters. Source: The author, ARC. 5*

MORE THAN A HELPING HAND, #7 - This one is so much fun to read. As always, loveable characters, good story lines and the humor and love through out the pages make it a one sitting read. Source: The author, ARC. 5*

MORE THAN A BLIND DATE, #8 - It's Dallas' story. I love this fun, interesting, romantic and well written series. Source: The author, ARC. 5*

Can I just say this was my favorite meet cute, possibly ever. It was comical and adorable and painful and perfect! I was completely hooked. This is my first Remi Carrington book and I will be going back to read more now!

This was such an emotional book, and for me that always makes a rom com. I love the range of emotions from laughing on page one to emotional confessions. From steamy kisses to teary eyes. I loved the character depth and growth. It was all very realistic.

And Bailey was easily a favorite character!! She is so adorable and you just want to reach through the pages and give her the biggest hug and tell her she's perfect as is. Remi did such a good job there.

This book is about learning how to be honest with yourself about how you feel. It's about putting family first. It's about putting aside your fears and chasing dreams. It's about mending broken hearts. And you definitely need to read it.

Remi Carrington never ceases to impress as she weaves her tales of life on the ranch. I love the sense of family and caring.

This is the sweet story of Anderson, Primrose and Bailey. He’s a kind, patient man who loves Primrose and her daughter Bailey from the beginning. The meet cute is painfully memorable and entertaining. This is a slow burn romance as Primrose has lots of walls and is wary of making a mistake since she’s been burned twice before.

If you’re looking for a story of true love and happy endings this is for you. Add a precocious 8 year old to the mix and you have some fun and entertainment as well. Thanks to the author for allowing me to read and review this book.

Cowboys of Stargazer Springs Ranch end.

Surviving Christmas - A fun way to just relax while exercising your laugh muscles. Getting lost in the story is easy with the wonderful characters, the good story lines, and the love and humor that fill the pages. Sorta related to the Stargazer bunch. Source: The author, ARC. 5*

More Than a Helping Hand is a clean, small-town romance with an awesome found family, a sweet love story, and the most adorable little matchmaker.

The story follows single mom Primrose and ranch hand Anderson, and I have to say, I might be a little in love with Anderson. He is such a swoon-worthy book boyfriend – patient and kid, protective and sweet- the perfect guy for the hesitant Primrose. The couple has a slow-building romance with a hilarious meet-cute that happened because of a sweet meeting between Anderson and Primrose’s daughter Bailey.

Bailey is the best! She’s so cute and endearing, and the relationship between Anderson and Bailey is very sweet. Anderson is so good with Bailey, who has struggled since losing her stepfather. I love how Anderson and the other people of Stargazer Springs Ranch help Bailey come out of her shell and gain confidence. The Stargazer Spring Ranch has such strong found family vibes with all these loving, supportive, and generous people, and they warmly welcome Bailey and Primrose into their ever-growing fold.

After being burned in past relationships, Primrose is hesitant to get involved with anyone. Anderson put his dating life on hold at nineteen when his parents died, and he took over raising his young sister. They are so good together! I love how patient and kind Anderson is. He lets Primrose set the pace of their relationship, and he treats her so differently the the men in her past. He’s a good man and the kind of partner Primrose deserves, if she can only convince herself that he isn’t too good to be true. The couple keeps their relationship secret so as not to hurt Bailey if it doesn’t work out, but their chemistry is pretty hard to hide.

I’m so happy that I had a chance to read this series this year because I’ve enjoyed every single book. The characters are realistic, relatable, and dynamically developed, the plots are always interesting and entertaining, and the love stories are heart-warming and romantic.

- Cowboy romance
- Small town
- Single mother
- Meet cute with a cactus
- He falls first

I have found my new book boyfriend - and his name is Anderson. Seriously, this gentle giant is the ultimate - kind, patient, understanding.

I always enjoy taking a journey to the Stargazer ranch. The family is so close knit, I feel welcomed. However, of all the books in this series, this one may be my favorite. Tall and a man of few words, Anderson Lane is a genuinely great guy. This is further evident when shy and scared of men Bailey instantly likes him. Bailey is visiting Parker, her uncle and one of the bosses on the ranch. Primrose, Parker's sister is a single mother. She and Bailey moved back home after Prim's marriage ended badly.

Starting with an adorable meet cute after Anderson sits on Bailey's cactus, Fred, Prim is the nurse at the clinic where Anderson goes to have the barbs removed. He is instantly attracted to Prim and only gets her phone number because Parker sends her a picture of Bailey and Anderson together.

Despite her insecurities, Prim agrees to date Anderson - secretly, so Bailey and Prim's family don't know. With the chemistry and smoldering glances flying, no one is fooled. However, the relationship has its setbacks when Prim's fears overtake her.

Will Anderson be able to show Primrose he is in this for the long haul?

More Than a Helping Hand by Remi Carrington is a best friends sister romance. It also is a single mom romance, a closed-door romance, and a cowboy romance.

Primrose is a single mom who has had more than her fair share of relationship traumas. Due to this Primrose is very protective of who she brings around her daughter, Bailey, as well as being critical of herself.

Anderson is a ranch hand at Stargazer Springs Ranch and also a co-worker and friend of Parker, Primrose's brother. One day Anderson accidentally sits on Fred, Bailey's cactus, and has to go to the hospital. There he meets Primrose and is instantly attracted to her. After getting her number Anderson works hard to gain Primrose's trust and affection.

This book was so great! I loved every part of it. The characters were so well written. Everytime I read a book from this series I think it's my favorite, but everytime I'm pleasantly surprised by the newest book. Anderson and Primrose are so great. I loved the relationship between Anderson and Bailey as well. I highly recommend this book!

Another wonderful story in this series! I enjoyed it so much, as I have the others. I loved the development of the romance. There were lots of fun touches to the story. The meet-cute was so funny and adorable. “Could finding my happily-ever-after be as easy as landing on a cactus?” Anderson was immediately attracted to Primrose, a struggling single mother who was his co-worker’s sister. Even better, her daughter (who wouldn’t talk to most men) warmed to him right away. Due to bad past experiences with men, trust didn’t come easily to Primrose and she wanted to keep her relationship with Anderson secret, especially from her daughter. As the relationship deepened, this made things difficult. “There’s no love without vulnerability…we’ll never get there if we aren’t open with each other.” I loved the characters in this book. They were so engaging. It’s a great cute and sweet read. “Sarcasm is my love language,” may be the line I relate most to in a book ever. This book is part of a series and there is a lot of carryover from previous books, but it would still read well as a standalone. This is a closed door romance with mild innuendo and no harsh language.
