Sin City Beasts #1

Inked Beasts

Rate this book
What do you do when your childhood friends grow up to become your wildest fantasies?

When I was a kid, Kai, Gage, and Thorn were my best friends … until I moved away.

Fifteen years later, I’m back in Vegas, and our surprise reunion has me reeling.

They're men now—huge, muscular, hot-as-Sin-City beasts.

And they all want me.

I thought my stable, boring ex-boyfriend was what I needed. But this untamed trio from my past tempt me to take a walk on the wild side. Their massive bodies are works of art in more ways than one, and I’m hungry to touch them … everywhere.

There’s turbulent, impulsive Kai, the rough spark to my kindling, who ignites me with a look, a word, a touch.

His best friend, Gage, whose deceptively calm demeanor masks a potent mix of dominance and tenderness.

And Thorn, Kai’s younger brother, whose mischievous charisma is matched only by the fierceness of his carnal appetite.

They're irresistible … but no longer the boys I once trusted. Two of them are in-demand tattoo artists and the other is a hotshot chef. They have their own groupies, and change women as easily as t-shirts.

If I let them in, they'll ruin me, and break my heart in the process.

But I don't think I can stand to live the rest of my life not knowing the men they've become.

Every time I pick up a Stephanie Brother book, it's a moment of weakness. A true indicator of a low point for me.

Brother churns out books throughout the year like it's nobody's business, and every single book follows the exact same formula. If you've ever read a single Stephanie Brother book, you honestly may have read them all.

Every single one of them is quick to move through the timeline and we get a lot of telling instead of showing, which means that relationship development on page is pretty much nonexistent and we'll gloss over 4 weeks in the span of two paragraphs, missing all of the monumental growth. These books are usually extremely light-hearted, meaning our conflict is usually not really a big deal but is always short-lived.

The structure of the writing itself always ends up feeling choppy, lacking any real detail or warmth.

I found this book especially to just be so much nothing that I can't give this anything more than 2 stars.

I hear from a lot of readers that my Beast Brothers series is one of their favorites, so I’m really excited to introduce a few new Beasts! These men are huge, muscular, and tatted up!

Inked Beasts brings you:

★ Two massive tattoo artists, one moody and intense, the other fierce yet tender
★ A hotshot chef who is even more talented in the bedroom than he is in the kitchen
★ A heroine who’s lost her way
★ A fight at a wedding
★ Everlasting bonds of friendship that grow into so much more
★ More heat than there are lights on the Vegas Strip

I hope you’ll check it out and let me know what you think!

Vague spoilers...
It started so strong. Then Lexy spent the entire book keeping herself emotionally distant from the guys until the thing happened & then boom hea. There were some steamy scenes but no character development, not even romantic development. Even when the author had a chance to have a heartwarming scene, she chose to do it from one of the guys povs in another room & glossed over a big moment in the book with Mr & Mrs Sanchez. I thought the writing was lazy which is disappointing because the premise of the book was good.

This is such a good read, full of steam and sexual chemistry, and the overall story is wonderful.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

This was the most boring book ever. No decent plot. Spice was there but even that was meh.

Summary: MFC comes back to the town she grew up in, breaks up with bf, jumps straight in bed with an old friend, sleeps with his best friend and brother. MFC goes home for Christmas, breaks up with the 3 MMC, they show up and BAM, happy ever after

300 ish pages and I just told the story in 6 lines.

Like where was the character and relationship development? Where was the in-depth back story of why she left Vegas? It was just skimmed over.

First and definitely last Stephanie Brother book.

Not for me.
Too rushed, and didn’t like the mains, or at least what I was introduced to.

It read like several chapters worth of story was crammed into a couple of pages, and it was all trope and cringe.

Too many other books available that I’m more likely to enjoy.
Still want to try some others from this author.

Amazing

No way can the story be topped? I have read so many stories and the stories have been repetitive and this story is changing an uncle rich actor but i'm not in love and I can't wait to the next one.

Reunited…

Lexy returns to Las Vegas after 15 years to plan her fathers wedding. Running into her childhood friends wasn’t what she had planned. She came to Vegas with her boyfriend from back home but he showed his true colors and returned home without her. Leaving Lexy without a boyfriend(no big loss there), a place to live and a job since she worked for his family.

Gage, Kai and Thorn are reunited with the only girl they loved as young kids. They show her why it’s better to stay in Las Vegas with them.

They sweep her off her feet at warp speed and start a physical relationship right off the bat. Lexy tries to keep her emotions straight but love always wins in the end, well atleast in this HFN.

I liked the guys’ back story. How they became who they are after she had to move after her parents divorce. With no choice of leaving them behind. How they kept her memory alive in their art and old neighborhood. Gage and Kai becoming tattoo artists with a celebrity following. Thorn becoming an influencer as a chef with a following of his own.

Also loved that Brock, Cody and Megan made an appearance. Hope we get to meet more BEASTS in the future.

This book was just... boring to me. There was very little build up, there didn't seem to be any real emotions that I could tell, and there was practically no backstory, either. I was bored and made it to 36% in before I took a step back to decide if I even want to finish this book, or relegate it to the dnf pile.

So far, I get generic backstory, but there are still issues with it. She was about 12-13 when she left, and has been gone for 15 years. So these guys have been out of your life for over half of it, and yet supposedly everyone is still hung up on each other (from when they were 12?). Plus, nobody seems to have changed much in that time, either? It feels like everyone stopped.
Next, here she is at her dad's wedding with her boyfriend, and within an hour, she has broken up with said boyfriend and has sex with someone she hasn't seen in 15 years? And admits she wants all of them. That is some seriously fast moving on.

Then, there has been very little explained as to why she left (but I get that her mom moved). But if everyone was as close as all that, there were ways they could have been in contact this time. Both sides just dropped each other and never talked? And yet they were all hung up on each other, even so. Plus, she never looked any of them up? Just moving doesn't seem like a big enough reason to drop these people who were supposedly everything to you for so long.

So, I decided to keep reading, so I could see if there was anything really happening. I started skimming over pages, as well.
One editing issue I found at 57%, Thorn's POV has him referring to himself as if it was Kai's POV. Was this not proofread?

OK, I finally finished it. I got really bored with it, though.
I would not recommend and I will not read it again. It was just flat.

I just wanted to get lost for a while without thinking too hard, but I so struggled with this.

The premise of childhood friends, 3 lads - Gage, Kai and Thorn and the girl down the street, Lexy - lose each other when Lexy's parents split when she is age 12 and moves away with her mother. 15 years later and Lexy is back at her Father's wedding and they reunite.

So far so good, but them it just goes sideways- there is no depth to the characters, we get only snippets - 15 years is a huge amount of time to pass, espicially going from a child to an adult in their late 20's, life experiences and such, a lot of growing up! I am so puzzled at how 4 grown adults are acting on childhood friendship as the start of an intense and full on relationship, the first encounter within minutes of meeting! 😳 I seriously liked what there was about the guys, I just wish there was more to them - but Lexy? She just did my head in - the constant inner monologue and 'fantasy bubble' she's living in - grow a pair and just be a grown up!!!

And the blip ...well, that was a waste of the alphabet.

The ending ...yep, it did.

Lexy (FMC) is back in Las Vegas after years away to act as a wedding planner for her father. Only being back puts her back in the world of her childhood friends - Kai, Thorn and Gage. All of which have obviously grown and changed including her which gives them all a different perspective on their relationship. With a more steamier dynamic between all of them. Which then leads to some very hot scenarios. It was a pretty quick lead up to it but considering that they'd had years knowing each other it was more of a reconnection for all of them. It was a great read and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on more books in this series in the future.

Rediscovering Her True Family

I LOVED this book!!!!! At 12 years old our FMC, Lexy, lost touch with her 3 best friends. That was 15 years ago, and at her father’s wedding, they’re suddenly back in her life. They’re not the same boys she knew then they were younger though. Now they’re inked beasts’, and definitely ALL alpha men. She quickly learns that as good as she is at organizing things in her life, some things can’t be anticipated or planned, especially when 3 men want you & intend to do everything possible to make you theirs. Kai, Gage and Thorn definitely bring the heat on sooooo many levels, but it’s not just the physical advantages they bring to the table that are stealing Lexy’s heart. With them she feels like she’s found the missing pieces of her heart, but can she truly trust her heart with 3 different men? If you wanna see Lexy’s entertaining journey to a HEA, then do not hesitate to grab this book. You’ll find yourself fully invested in seeing Lexy & her guys merge their lives back together in a second chance story that will entertain you the whole way through. My favorite was Gage, her safe place no matter what else was going on, but you can come up with your own favorite since Kai & Thorn were just as swoon worthy for different reasons 😉 Whether you’re already a fan of Stephanie’s, or this is your 1st book, you’ll fall in love with the all the main & secondary characters, the heat & spice, the friendship & family, the stories with just the right amount of drama, and most importantly, the pure unconditional love that the characters find with one another. Get ready to dive into Stephanie’s new series, and then prepare yourself to stay on the lookout for even more amazing stories 😍❤️

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "INKED BEASTS" I was thoroughly hooked on this reverse harem romance from start up finish with scorching hot scenes, family, friends, a little drama, unconditional love, missing pieces, you can't put down with great characters that pull you right into this amazing read.
Lexy returns to Vegas after 15 years she's planning her fathers wedding her boyfriend came along but things didn't work for them after he showed who he truly was & left to go home without her, no loss, now no job seeing as she worked for his family.
Lexy reunites with her three BF's Gage, Thorn & Kai who she lost touch with at age 12 their no longer boys their INKED BEASTS Alpha males, who want to show her why she should stay in Las Vegas with them, sweeping her off her feet her emotions are all over the place, it was interesting to see how they remembered her with their art in their old neighborhood, Gage & Kai became tattoo artists with an unbelievable following & Thorn became an influencer as a Chef with an awesome following of his own.
I definitely recommend to get this fantastic story Lexy, Gage, Thorn & Kai take you on hot sensual journey they've always loved her, now they get the chance to show her, now that her & her boyfriend broke up, will she stay in Las Vegas take the job at a resort, find out if s

Dnf @ 50%

I think the author is a good writer. But she could be better I think if she didn’t churn and burn. This was the third book I’ve read of hers, and the second dnf.

The premise sounds interesting. I’ll start to read, then very quickly the characters get together and it feels like you’re just checking boxes.

First and foremost, I find the sex scenes cursory. Not detailed, no savoring of the climaxes. Especially with these being people who knew each other from when they were kids, and now they’re grown up.

Have some respect for the moment, at least? We barely see any adoration from the mmc’s on their FIRST time with the fmc. There was off-page pining, but we don’t have the benefit of feeling the depth of the emotions. And that further robs the sex scenes from any heat.

I get that these books are formulaic. But this is why I have issues with so many contemporary stories. Human men are depicted so often as just… milquetoast characters with big dicks or they’re pathological… either way big dicks. 😂

These dudes pined for this chick for years. Ok, setting aside the doubtful aspect of her being that special (sorry, she wasn’t), this is your goddess. Part of your formative relationships. Savor, worship, adore, lose the control you have kept. Let us see the force of your passion that you bottled up for her. Let us see all this as it’s happening.

Otherwise, this is just bland. True, RH stories aren’t easy to write. But the pacing being choppy and the intimacy being bland without emotion, it just feels like a waste.

I wanted to like this book but I couldn't for a few reasons:
1) from start to where I stopped it felt extremely rushed
2) I get that her & Kai where old friends but sex between the two of them happens within maybe, I feel like I'm being generous here, 3hrs of reconnecting, seriously? 😣
3) I really didn't care for the MFC Lexy, she was annoying and came off as emotionally unavailable
4) up to where I stopped Thorn seemed like an after thought type of character
5) this was a big one for me: if the guys were so obsessed with her why become f boys instead of looking for her when they finally started making money? Kai was so pissed she never reached out but the last time I checked the street goes both ways

There's a few more but you get the gist. I definitely spent too much time trying to like this book. I've tried sooo many Stephanie Brother books but have only finished 6. The only series I seem to like & have stuck with so far is her Property of the Outlaw Son's MC & that makes up 3 of the 6 books. I have a feeling as I try more of her works that maybe the ONLY series I read by her.

If you love a story from Stephanie Brother, this story does not disappoint. There is romance, conflict and high drama, followed by a happily ever after. Lexy, Kia, Gage and Thorn grew up in Las Vegas and were best friends as children, but when Lexy’s parents divorced when she was twelve, Lexy’s mother took her away from Vegas. Now 15 years later, her father is getting married, and she is acting as his wedding planner, and this is where she sees her best friends again. Little did Lexy know, her best friends have always been in love with her, and this is the opportunity that they need to show her how much, especially after her boyfriend breaks up with her, she is then told that she has nowhere to live and no job when she gets back to Atlanta where she lives. She is offered a job at a resort in Vegas and soon learns what real love is, and given a future with her three men that she would never have imagined possible.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.

When I read this one, I was not expecting to be wrung out by a single book. I didn't get much sleep when I started it, and then went to work looking like Keith Richards. I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep.

I don't normally have book boyfriends, but I would trade everything I own to have guys like Kai, Gage, and Thorn. Lexy, our female main character, has the asshole boyfriend who doesn't like that she's talking to her three friends from childhood, and her father is a jerk too. the three beasts do anything and everything to make her happy and not be around people like her boyfriend or dad.

I will also say, who else goes away for years, come back and see three MEN she used to know? I don't know anyone from my childhood who turned into these three guys. But I can fantasize over it.

Lexy, Kai, Thorn and Gage were childhood friends. Lexy moved away after her parents got a divorce and she lost contact with the guys. 15 years later, she back for her father’s marriage, and she runs into them. They aren’t boys anymore. They are all grown up, and they never got over Lexy. After breaking things off with her boyfriend, she agrees to stay in Vegas. She spends her time getting reacquainted with the guys. Even though she quickly falls back in love with all the guys, she can’t get out of her own head. She’s worried about fitting g in their new lives and she’s worried that their arrangement won’t be accepted and it will only hurt the guys in the end. Kai, Thorn and Gage aren’t giving up on her. They will do whatever they need to make her see that they are all in.

Back in town for her father's wedding which she planned, Lexy unexpectedly reconnects with her childhood friends, Gage, Kai, and Thorn. Though she is at the wedding with her boyfriend, she quickly learns he isn't the guy she thought he was and they break up. Deciding to stay in Vegas for a bit to figure out her next plan, Lexy ends up with a temporary job offer and decides to take it. Since she is staying, her friends decide to show her how much they want her to not only stay, but to stay and be in a relationship with them. Through ups and downs with a relationship that ends up in the spotlight due to the guys public careers, they navigate this change from friendship to relationship and hopefully a happily ever after.

That book moved *fast* through relationship development and things I thought they really should linger on. The writing was really stilted, a lot of telling over showing, and you don't get a lot of insight into what the characters are thinking in any given moment. There's different POV chapters, but they all read kind of the same, to be honest, making the guys feel a bit bland.

I also hated Lexy's rationale for the late book rug pull, and equally hated how quickly it was resolved and, evidently, never discussed again beyond a few paragraphs of dialogue in the moment. It felt perfunctory, like the author felt obligated to include it and then quickly moved on once the box was checked.

Idk, not my favorite.

Ink me up

Societal norms are no longer the norm. I'm not saying chaos should reign, but shaming women for acting like men is the cruelest form of misogyny.

When your childhood bestie comes back to town, of course you have to show up to see her. However, letting all three men in is hard for her. Until, they give permission. Now, with three hotties giving you multiple O's is not a bad way to live, imo.

The problem arises when society has an opinion. Screw that noise. Her low self worth, when compared to their success, leads her away, despite loving them. This type of selflessness destroys relationships.

Thank goodness her men won't let her go. I recommend this story for those who love freely.

Awesome Book!!!

I really enjoyed reading Inked Beasts(Sin City Beasts Book 1)!!!! All about Lexy a gorgeous wedding planner & Kai, Gage & Thorn BFF’s and brothers and all love one woman who got away. Lexy is in Las Vegas to make sure the wedding she planned for her dad’s second wedding goes off like a charm. She’s literally in town for two nights and flying back to Atlanta. However she runs into her BFF’s from her childhood, who have all grown up into gorgeous hunks, and want to explore and catch up with their girl. Read about Lexy & the three men who worship her, and see if coming to Vegas was a mistake or a blessing!!! Lots of emotion & tons of toe curling does occur!!! Definite Read!!! Can’t wait to read the second book in this series!!!!

Amazing start to a new Beast series!

Sometimes you meet the person or people that are going to be the love of your life at a young age. You know they are important to you, but just not quite how important.

Lexi and her three best friends (Kai, Gage, and Thorn) are always together as kids. After the breakup of her parents marriage she moves away and loses touch. Lexi is back in Vegas fifteen years later for her dad's wedding. Not intending to reunite with them. They have other ideas...

As always Stephanie Brother has brought the heat. This is a why choose with a very HEA. FMC has a lot of angst. The three men all want to love her and give her the world.

I really liked this book I just had a few problems with it. I loved the mmcs but Lexy kinda got on my nerves she was so adamant that their relationship couldn’t work and was just gonna leave them. I wish the spice scenes were a little longer and more detailed. I also think this story could’ve been longer in general it just didn’t feel complete. I also didn’t like that it felt like they were all individually dating in the beginning. But I loved their friendships and I loved how they all were with each other.
