Fun and entertaining age gap romance that was perfect for the Valentines.

Jewel signed up for a blind date contest and was matched up with Alex. Alex is a bit older and has a slight connection with the people running the contest, but getting matched with Jewel was not a bad thing.

This was an amazing story as you follow Jewel and Alex on their date and see the connection between them grown.

Unlikely Match by Haley Travis is the part of the multi-author The Matchmaker series. This story is a bit quirky, OTT, and at times the details are a bit harder to understand, but overall it is a hot and steamy Valentine's/matchmaker romance with a bit of an age-gap and opposites attract. Jewel Parker is an artist at heart who needs some cash to make her plans for getting an art studio a reality. As it is she lives in the basement of her brother's home, is a nanny to his and his wife's baby and also looks after the house. Alex McKagan is a rich business consultant who owns his own thriving business but also is missing something. When his "cousin", the matchmaker, is short one male for the big match game she enlists Alex. There is a big prize on the line, a big trip and 20 grand on the line for the winning couple. Jewel and Alex are matched but will they actually be a match in real life?

This is a cute, fun, fast packed adventure with two people who have just met on a dating competition. If they win it will be a trip of a lifetime with $20000 to spend. The problem is she desperately wants to win so she can rent a place to do her art and he's a rich businessman but has a competitive spirit that rivals none. But as they follow the directions for this competition they start having feelings, so much that he wants her forever. Can an artist and a staid businessman have a future. I loved this story, the characters are great, it's perfect amount of steam and a fun unique valentine read. Loved it.

Jewel is an artist looking to win a contest with the hopes that her partner will forego the winnings so she can use that money for a studio. She is match with Alex who was essentially forced into the contest. Once her sees Jewel though, he is glad that he made it to the contest. He does notice that he is a bit older than her and while that does bother him some, it can’t change the way he feels towards her. Jewel starts to catch feelings as well but tries her best to ignore them as well.
This hot book is a wonderful read. This author puts forward a fabulous story here!.

This was a great start to fun new multi-author series. With a blind date contest netting the winners $20,000 and a fab trip, Jewel is desperate to win and get her own place where she can expand her art, with ambitions to sell more pieces. Alex, roped in by his cousin to participate, certainly didn't expect to have an instant connection to Jewel. These two wonderful characters have many adventures while they find they're perfectly matched. This is an age-gap opposites attract romance and I was thrilled to follow them along to their HEA. With this one being so engaging, I can't wait to read the rest of the series ;)

Alex is a 32 year old hunky billionaire businessman. The two have entered a blind date contest and are matched for a dating contest. The date ends up being amazing. Could it really be a love match? The chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥 and I loved the easy, flirty banner. Haley always has such great quirky curvy girls getting their princes, and I am all about it. I really loved this one!!!.

Book #1 of the Matchmakers series. Jewel is an aspiring artist and entered a Valentine’s Day matchmaking contest to try and win the money to get a work space to create her art. Alex ends up being part of the contest as a favour for his friend. He’s given up on romance and is a workaholic. As soon as he’s introduced to Jewel as his blind date, his thoughts immediately change and he’s now looking forward to a future with his Jewel. A cute age gap story with some lol moments during the contest. These two had great chemistry from the start and plenty of steamy times. I received an arc copy of this book.

HOT, HOT, HOT read by Haley that you need to read today and not wait any longer. Jewel will have your heart ache for her because she is struggling and not looking for any type of romance or love. So, when she enters a contest look out because things are about to get steamy and change. She isn't sure if it's real or still part of the contest. Alex and Jewel are two really great characters that make you smile because the book is just that darn good.

Cute, steamy, and instant chemistry...
This was a really good read. It's a short read with a wonderful story, that makes you smile. The meet cute and interactions for their blind date draw you in and holds you until the end. There are some pretty steamy moments that are fire. Loved it!! Simple and hot feel good read!!!.

She gets paired up at the very end and can’t believe how handsome Alex is. They have a 12 year age gap but they doesn’t stop them from having a night of a lifetime and falling for each other just as hard. Quick paced Valentine’s Day novella. Highly Recommend

Signing up for a blind date Valentine’s Day contests is different. You have a list of places where you need to go and viewers follow you with the wild adventure that you were going to take. Alex and Joel have done this. Good story. Holiday themed. Conflict and resolution. Because of course, there are villains in a holiday themed story. A mystery in itself, no cliffhanger.

A fun, quick and enjoyable read. Neither Jewel or Alex have much hope of a date from a matchmaker bringing them their HEA. Their reaons for being on site are totally different. He's doing his cousin a favor and she wants the 20K prize money. Surprises do happen and they find fun, compatibility and romance.

The story was okay. Some of it was just a little off for me. I didn’t really get Jewel and Alex’s chemistry at first. They eventually grew on me but the whole contest thing was a little out there. Just not one of my favorites.
