All it took was one shot of whiskey to let myself burn.

Cash told me loving him wasn't a risk. He promised we would dance in the moonlight.

He swore he was nothing like the ones who broke my heart.

And he was right. He was so much worse.

But what do you do with an addiction you can’t kick?

Drink in the shadows, take shots in the dark, and savor the buzz knowing the next morning won’t be worth it.

Because it’s not enough.

Nothing is ever enough when the person you hate is also the one you love.

Loving Whiskey is book two of the Falling for Whiskey duet. It is a Billionaire Contemporary Romance.

This book is part of a duet and is not a standalone.

If you thought that the first book in this duet was outstanding well, Loving Whiskey tops it. If there is one duet to read this summer this is the one. Brittanee Nicole is a new author to me and if these two books are any indication of what her writing and stories are, then she has another fan. Cash and Grace's story will have you craving for more with every turn of the page. The angst, spice which was hot as hell, laughs, at times, and the way that they have people in their corner no matter what happens is what has you keep turning the pages. Their relationship, at times, is volatile and full of hate but then they have the most beautiful connection with love and understanding. The hate to love you coming from Cash had me wanting to give him a shake and tell him to get his head out of his ass. He is pigheaded and cruel at times, but something deep down has him trying to change for Grace. The way that he was determined to win her back and his grovelling was perfect. Grace, although has had her world shattered by not only Cash but her ex and her mother, yet somehow seems to rise above it and tries to focus on the positive, which at times is extremely hard. Secrets, lies, broken hearts, healing, and second chances are what makes this book so addictive. Let's not forget the friends and secondary characters, Tessa, Cat and Jay that add laughs and fun, as well as some swoon-worthy men, Frank and Hayden.

Ms. Nicole's writing is outstanding. She has a way of getting you to love her characters even when you want to throw the book at them. I highly recommend picking up this duet and making sure you have a good chink of time because once you finish book one you will want to read book two right away. Whiskey Lies needs to be read before Loving Whiskey, they are not standalones.

Had me hook, line and sinker!

This is the story of Cash and Grace and their path to finding their happily ever after. Grace is a strong, independent woman who has been let down by people her whole life. Cash has just taken over his family business and has the weight of the world and expectation on his shoulders. He’s also 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The way he loves is just ❤️. And swoon worthy - although if I’m being honest, he is also stubborn and pigheaded on occasion and I love how his character developed throughout this story. The chemistry between these two is hoooooootttt! They certainly straddle the line between love and hate amazingly! The author does a great job of building them as characters and building their story through the crazy twists and turns.

This duet is the first read from Nicole for me, and it certainly won’t be the last. The storyline was well developed with enough twists and turns to keep me turning the pages long past bedtime. I was invested in the characters (and the side characters), and while there are some parts that frustrated me between the MC’s - I was enthralled enough to keep reading despite how much I wanted to reach into the book and shake them!

There’s a little bit of everything in this book - love, 🔥🔥🌶, angst, drama, mystery, family….. Frank 🥰 I am more than hooked on Frank and can’t wait for the rest of the stories from this world.

I LOVED the first book in this duet and I didn’t think Brittanee Nicole could do better, but she has knocked it out of the park with this book. This duet is probably my favorite duet of 2022 and I don’t say that lightly. This duet was phenomenal. If you’re looking for a sign to read this duet it’s this review. DO IT! YOU WILL NOT REGRET READING IT!

The second book in the Falling for Whiskey duet delivers more angst, chemistry, and spice that will have you flipping the pages of your kindle so quickly. I devoured both books so quickly, foregoing sleep because of the intense need to know what happens next in Grace and Cash’s love story!

The dirty talk was top notch and the character development was amazing as the characters became their best selves. The writing is phenomenal and I could not get enough of it. I’m kicking myself for not having read Brittanee Nicole’s books sooner. I’m a fan and I’m definitely going to be reading her backlist!

This roller coaster of a tale of second chances, secrets, lies, broken hearts, love, friends, and family was the perfect happily ever after to Grace and Cash’s love story! I’m hoping we see more of them in future stories for the secondary characters!

This amazing duet is like a mix of the Cityscape series by Jessica Hawkins and QB Tyler’s Bittersweet series. And those two series were everything to me. So comparing them and this series is considered a compliment. Especially since I hate comparing books altogether. It always seems unfair to the author. But I adored them and I absolutely adored these books. So I hope this author knows she has a new fan in me.

I went ahead and paired my review up as a whole for both books in the FALLING FOR WHISKEY duet. Honestly, I didn’t want to take the time to write a review for WHISKEY LIES before I jumped into book 2. That would have been too much wasted time when I could have been reading. So, I immediately KU’d LOVING WHISKEY and absolutely let it take over all my free time and utterly consume me.

These characters stole my ever lovin’ heart and crushed it a few times. At times they slowly, semi pieced it back together only to laugh in my face and rip it to shreds once again. I had a love hate relationship with Grace through most of the book all because I couldn’t handle her flighty, scattered thinking mind. Seriously. Would it have hurt the author to have Tessa slap the flipping crap out of her once in awhile? Like a reset of sorts? At least Tessa kept the balance in the story by giving us some much needed humor. I cannot wait to read her story next.

Amazing romance, heartbreaking woes, and a truly wonderful story…this duet owned me for a few days and consumed every inch of my life. This new to me author has quickly became a favorite. 5 Stars!!

Oh Cash Money and Gracie! Y’all have to check this duet out! Especially now that Loving Whiskey is out and you don’t have to wait for relief after that massive cliffy at the end of book 1! What an amazing read. Loving Whiskey has all of the drama, angst, growth, and hotness! Such an emotional rollercoaster of a duet and I’m so happy I got to experience it! The character growth by the end of the duet was just fabulous. Thank you Brittanée!

I couldn't put this book down! I was pulled in right from the beginning. I had to know what was going to happen. Especially how the last book ended. This book took me on a roller coaster ride through my emotions. I was angry, sad and crying, happy and all of them all over again!

I was surprised on how Vanessa found the info to leak. I was pretty sad and upset but i get it. Won't say how to keep this spoiler free. Grace had such an amazing support system throughout the pain and struggle she had to go though.

Loved that Cat became a more likeable character!! I wanted to see more of her and of Jay. I feel like they make a great couple and wish we saw more of that!

Hayden was such a sweet man and I respect how he room are of Grace when she ended that support. He respected her and didn't push her.

Love that Cash had to fight hard to prove his love and was so happy when Grace and him finally did fully connect again.

Wish Tessa and Carter got back together. I was so sad that it was over between them and I understand.

I love the whole journey that this book took me. I loved how it needed and who doesn't love having a happy ending. Makes you feel like anything in life is possible.

Cash James and Grace Kensington had a love story written in the stars - at least until it all came crashing down around them. Devastated from the loss of Cash, Grace is hanging on by a thread. She must learn to navigate life as a newly single woman, and without the man who had come to mean everything to her. Meanwhile, Cash is reeling from Grace’s betrayal, and has drowned himself in drink in order to cope with his feelings. Everything was once perfect between them, and now it’s all shattered. Can these two broken souls find their way back to each other before it’s too late?

Okay, so this second part of the Falling for Whiskey duet was highly emotional and agonizingly angsty. Cash and Grace’s love story was complicated from the start, but now they’ve lost their way. I loved everything about this novel, even though I cried more than once by the time I was done with it. It was beautifully written, and the plot twists had me screaming. Cash and Grace’s relationship had its ups and downs, but I was rooting for them all the way. I thought this book was an incredible conclusion to the duet, and that Brittanee Nicole is an amazing writer.

Cash. I had so many feelings about him in this novel, and not all of them were good. Cash is complicated man, especially once you take in his family and his billionaire status. There were times when I wanted to hit him, but he redeemed himself in the end. Grace. Oh my gosh, this poor woman needs all the hugs. She’s so incredibly strong, and I was super proud of her for learning her self worth. I admire her business sense and her bravery. Their chemistry was as intense as always, and all in all, I would recommend!

𝙱𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚒𝚌𝚘𝚕𝚎 did it again, y'all. She absolutely broke me in the best way possible and pieced my shattered soul back together again. The angst in this one, folks.....*chef's kiss*.

Grace Kensington & Cassius James are back with the rest of their story. Book 1 ended in an utter betrayal. She broke, he broke, they broke, 𝙄 broke. But, as their whys and why nots unfolded, as their realizations came to light, as truths were told.....it was beautiful. It was captivating. It was just what I needed. Their story.....the groveling that Cash does.....the power that is the love between Grace & Cash......it is all powerfully all consuming and I will forever love this duet.

𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 gave life to Cash, filling him with the love, devotion, obsession and devastation that was Cash's relationship with Grace. It was an epic performance! 𝐿𝑢𝑐𝑦 𝑅𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟.....her counterpart to 𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 was just as epically done. She leant the perfect bit of sassiness and boss woman air to Grace and I had the front row seat to her beautiful narrations!

This book. This audio. These characters. This story. It was incredibly chiseled and the ending? Well, I'm glad I stuck around for it all because I loved every single second!

I was graciously given this book as an ARC

Listen, book 1; Whiskey Lies, sent me into a rage because of the cliffhanger. This book delivered on all accounts!

Grace, a shell of her former self. Heartbroken, but determined to move forward with her life and business. but she cant seem to escape the want and need of her love. she learned her lesson on trusting to easy and is determined to make Cash work for their love.

Cash, a man broken and beaten down. there's is nowhere to go but up. when he learned the truth, he is determined to get back the one thing that keeps him going.

I loved every page of this book. Gracie is so strong and determined for herself. Cash is so broken, and my heart broke with his. But his determination and complete love for Grace was felt every step of the way. we love a groveling man

After reading Whiskey Lies, I didn’t think I’d ever forgive Brittanee Nicole for breaking my heart. But, now that I’ve read Loving Whiskey I have decided to graciously forgive her.

This book has quickly became one of my favorites. From start to finish, I couldn’t put this book down.

I loved watching Cash grovel after the way book 1 ended. He needed to. This book gave us twist after twist. For a moment, I was rooting for Hayden. But, If there’s one thing you can expect from Brittanee Nicole, it’s that true love will always find its way.

I cried with Grace. I screamed with Cash. And I fell back in love with Cassius James.

But I need to know more! Will we find out more about Chase? Please tell me Tessa and Carter find their way back to each other! Frank needs some loving too. I’d also like to know what’s going on between Cat and Jonathon. But until then, I’ll be on the edge of my seat waiting for more!

I never doubted Brittanee’s ability to tell this story but OH DEAR LORD she had me FREAKING OUT MULTIPLE times!

Loving Whiskey picks up right where we left off in Whiskey Lies.
Cash thinks Grace betrayed him and she is devastated & destroyed by his reaction.
So Jonathan swoops in to save the day and the whole time I’m thinking something is NOT RIGHT about all of this.
Meanwhile Cash is turning into the biggest A-hole EVER. Refusing to listen to anyone, even his family when they keep yelling him to TALK to Grace.

I can’t finish this without giving major spoilers so I’ll just say this.

This book is freaking AMAZING. Cash & Grace will have to fight for their relationship because NOTHING that happens is easy for them.
I LOVED how Brittanee wrote their story and I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE TIME.
We also get some new information about other people in the Family and hints to what could come in future books with the other characters. So naturally I’m still dying of curiosity on that front but not spiraling like I was at the end of Whiskey Lies.

This book is a 20/10 if that’s even a thing y’all. The whole story is incredible.
There’s so much love, mystery, angst, romance, suspense & full of surprises.
Do yourself a favor and BUY/READ this Duet!

If you have read Whiskey Lies like me, I know you are desperate to read Loving Whiskey.

Loving Whiskey is FREAKING AMAZING!!! This book is totally amazing, a perfect way to finish their story. Cash makes me swoon thru the whole book!!! You are going to cry, swoon, and smile like a dork, it has all the feels. And is going to melt your panties too hahaha. I don’t want to spoil anything but everything in this book is perfect. The teasing, the banter, the family love, the friendship love and all the secrets and the twist and turns. Frank and Tessa are the best friends you’ll want to have. Grace is the most wonderful businesswoman. Cassius is so dreamy, imperfect but dreamy. Their HEA is going to makes you fall in love even more with Angel and Whiskey. Warning your heart may explode with all the love here. Falling for Whiskey is the Best Duet Ever!

Can’t wait for the rest of the stories.

UPDATE review!!! (March 2023) this books still freaking amazing!!! And the audiobook give another whole experience to this reading. The duet narration is perfection for Chash and Grace relationship. I love it so much. So good, every feeling, tear, cry out and laugh… really amazing.

Not For Me..

.. There’s a lot of hype surrounding this duet on social media that made me think I needed to read this series. And this series just wasn’t for me.

The plot between both books is heavily convoluted and hard to follow along. And the chemistry between Grace and Cash didn’t read well to me. It felt forced and made it hard for me to believe they were meant to be.

I think the idea of the plot was interesting and could have been amazing. But I struggled with the writing style. I found myself skimming through both books at times. And it became hard for me to take this series seriously.

Slightly unfinished

We never find out who Chases mother is or why Vanessa is asking for another million dollars. It would have been nice if the thing between Cat and Jay was wrapped up.

Thank you to Brittanee for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

How is it possible that I liked book 2 even more than book 1, and I really liked book 1! You must read book 1, Whiskey Lies first before you read this one FYI.

Let me start with, it takes a lot for a book to make me cry. This book made me cry multiple times. It really pulled at my heartstrings. The writing is amazing, the spice is beyond spicy. I honestly think I blushed a few times. I laughed, I fell in love with Hayden. I hated Cash, I loved Cash, I hated him some more, and then I loved him again. Throughout the series, I rooted for Grace. I was her biggest cheerleader. She deserved all the love in the world after everything she's been through.

This is hands down one of the best books I have read for 2022. This will stay with me forever. In my opinion, this is the best book of Brittanee's. It's been a few days since I finished reading it and I still can't stop thinking about it.

This was one of those books where I thought, “How does this have such good reviews? Am I reading the same book these other people did?” I only bothered with this because the first one ended on a cliffhanger and my anxiety couldn’t let me leave it unfinished. This book was just as bad as the previous one. There is still a major lack of communication between the main characters, not to mention the weird twist at the end. Is this a billionaire romance, or a mafia romance? Literally that came out of left field. This series is terrible. I absolutely will not recommend these books to anyone. Ever.

Oh my gosh!! This book the the perfect ending to the Falling for Whiskey duet. I loved to see Grace stand up and be the strong woman that she is. I also love to see a man grovel and know he really needs to fix it when he messes up. There was so much to unpack in this book, and it was done beautifully. And the 🌶🌶🌶 was on point!!

This sequel was everything! It destroyed me in all the best ways possible! It had me feeling all the emotions!
I absolutely love Grace and Cash so much. Their chemistry even when they "hated" each other was still off the charts! The spice was next level in one was even better than the first!

The emotions these 2 characters experienced throughout this story were so raw and genuine. I really loved seeing Grace become even more of a strong determined woman and realize her worth.

I can't even tell you how absolutely crazy and amazing some of the plot twists were in this one! I went from holding my breath, to yelling, tearing up... the rollercoaster of emotions was serious!

Brittanee Nicole did a beautiful job with this complicated and oh so beautiful love story. I truly became submersed in these 2 character's lives and I'm sad to see the story end for Grace and Cash. I'm so incredibly happy with the ending however!

Brittanee continues to outdo herself each and every time!!!

Grace's character and all she had to endure, the growth and strength she showed in this book, was on point!

Cash's groveling couldn't come soon enough. I was sooo mad at him at first, but now I love him!

And of course the spice!!! CHAPTER 19!! IYKYK!!

Love all of Brittanee's work!!

This is the second book in the Falling for Whiskey duet. Once again Brittanee knocks it out of the park with this book. I absolutely love her writing style. She has a way of hooking you and drawing you in so fast. I loved how this book picks up right where Whiskey Lies left off.

I seriously don’t want to give anything away in this book. If you read Whiskey Lies, stop everything you’re doing and read this now. Grace is left broken by Cash. He believes he knows what happened. But these two really are perfect for each other. Grace makes him work for her love and good for her. Cash did what he had to to win her back and I fell in love with him even more.

I hope you’re ready for this emotional rollercoaster. This book was full of spice, heartache, chemistry, drama, tension, angst, twists and turns, suspense, forgiveness, betrayal, anger, banter, friends, family, love and so much more that will leave you laughing, crying and wanting to throw your kindle at times. Can’t wait for the next Brittanee Nicole masterpiece.

I received this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

A perfect ending

Loved this book and it definitely kept me entertained through the end. All the twists and turns were a perfect story of steam, romance as you watch the love story unfold with Cash and Grace. Looking forward to more books to read by the author. Hopefully, Chase, Carter, Cat, Frank or Tessa get some novels.

This book was absolutely fantastic. In this book there is a lot of hardships to overcome, and I think that is what makes this book wonderful. Grace was delt a difficult hand throughout this entire book, but she overcame it all with grace. Like I always say, "there is nothing like a women scorned", and my god does Grace take that and run with it. Cash was on the receiving end of it, and I LOVED every minute of it. If you love billionaire romances and the TV series Million Dollar Matchmaker, go pick up this book series RIGHT NOW. Brittanee Nicole did a FABULOUS job and I have a new favorite author!

I did not want grace and cashes story to come to an end. This duet has pulled me into their world like I was living it right along with them. All of the love and heartache and tears and laughter. I didn’t want to let grace and cash go. This book was phenomenal and easily one of my top reads of the year.
