The morning after President Douglas Jackson is re-elected for his second term as President, Governor Richard Wallace is awoken by a mysterious phone call. It is a phone call that he had hoped would never come in the almost 20 years that had gone by since he made a deal that would give him the life he wanted. Now, he will set in motion the plans for the state of Texas to leave the United States of America. As this is happening one night the people of America are interrupted by a mysterious computer hacker, who will soon be referred to as the Voice. The Voice is communicating messages of hope and trying to get the people of the country to take a more active role in the proceedings of the government. As the Voice gains poularity and more states follow Texas's lead, computer expert is brought into Washington to help Homeland Security find the location of the Voice. As Franklin, gets closer to finding the Voice tensions continue to escalate between the government and the people leading the country towards revolution and the outbreak of a 2nd Civil War. Will President Jackson be able to keep the nation together or will he lead it to the brink of the end of democracy by having to order his military on the civilians in this country.
