A Christmas Tab00 Novella with a Halloween spooky vibe? Why not! Tatum and Caleb’s creepy house alone would give anyone chills.
Tate and Caleb are brother and sister. I did mention this was Tab00. Lawrence, their stepfather, has taken over the family business, though he suspiciously is not the rightful owner. There is much hostility between him and Tatum and Caleb.
But when Caleb was sent away due to an unfortunate incident, it became rather convenient for the family to claim he needed some rehab. However, Caleb returns for Christmas.
What Tate thought would be a warm reconciliation ended up being a dark plan for revenge.
“Slay” is short, only 57 pages, but it’s pretty packed and fast-paced. The schm3xy scenes are detailed. I could see this story being almost a prequel to a longer book. I had questions about the company, the house’s history, the parents, more details about their father, Tate, and Caleb’s relationship, and how that came about. But overall, I found it entertaining.
