Based on scientific research carried out over the last 18 years, Yehuda Shinar—a celebrated life coach credited with helping England win the rugby World Cup—has devised a set of winning behavior principles that can be applied to any sphere of life. Using practical advice, quizzes, tests, and real-life case studies, Yehuda shows how thought patterns can be transformed so that—whoever you are and whatever you want to achieve—you can become one of life’s winners. From conquering your self-defeating thoughts and winning the respect of others, to clinching that promotion at work or winning in love, money, or health, this book is all you need to succeed in everything you do.
This book felt like one very long motivational speech. I'm not usually a fan of books that require exercises/writing during reading but it was thankfully not overwhelming. A lot of the advice in this book feels very obvious but still great to be reminded of as often as possible. I realised that much of my behaviour was already 'winning' behaviour, and that there were a few bad habits I didn't realise I was engaging in unnecessarily that could be holding me back. There were a few golden phrases which I found very impressionable and important, which I wrote down and hope to remind myself of regularly. I didn't find the writing very engaging but feel there are many great, useful points in this book that anybody could hugely benefit from.
Given the hype of the book and the cost I was very disappointed. Even though it has good points I felt it never really fully explained techniques to help you improve. It just kept referring back to Tcup and debriefing. And the real examples are just stories that offer no real help.
