This a dark contemporary romance and when I say dark - i mean I don't think a floodlight would help you in this instance - and, believe me I was completely and utterly here for it.
The title of this book because it is twisted beyond belief and as delicious as sating any hunger. It was so intoxicating that I couldn't stop reading, it was brutal, gritty and quite frankly filthy and I loved it, I couldn't turn away from the screen even if I wanted to, and, believe me, this deviant didn't want too.
Their are so many tropes that I love in dark romance, and that I think makes me crave more, and this book, this book had all of them. It is crammed full of tropes, it almost has as many as its trigger warnings, and there are a lot, for good reason. But for me, it was hot as hell.
The tropes in this book include but aren't limited too, enemies to lovers, bully romance, bully to lovers, friends to lovers, touch her and die, mafia romance, alpha male and quite honestly I am getting hot just thinking about it.
The spice in this book too is super HOT - like probably one of the hottest books I have read - Carolina Reaper spice scale type hot. It was so steamy and even the parts that were icky due to the situation were also hot as hell.
There were twists galore in this book and I would have enjoyed it without them but with them I loved it even more. It literally had me on the edge of my seat and my heart pounding, I didn't want it to stop.
The characters are so well developed and whether I loved them or hated them, I couldn't stop caring about them. I have taken this series and these characters too my heart where they can stay rent free for ever. I had visceral reactions to all of them but none so much as Ryan and Beau, I love them.
I went through so many emotions whilst reading this book, and, I am ready to go through them all again with the next ones. The book ended on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.
This is my first book by the author and it won't be my last, I would literally read anything she writes now.
