This Book was a Big NO, the heroine is just revolting sleeping with other men, lusting after her stepfather who is also the father of the man she pretends to love. I'm disgusted!
OH MY GAWD!!!! This book wrecked me!! This was an exhilarating 5-star read with so many twists and turns that kept me hanging on the edge of my seat wanting more. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen in this story...BAM, another major twist occurs that I didn't see coming. The author did a phenomenal job in her character building, letting the reader fall in love with or in hate with each and every character and allowing the reader a glimpse into their soul and in understanding what haunts that character and/or what provokes or inspires them. The book is written in multiple POV's which add to understanding the characters and what they are thinking or feeling more. Also, the spice in this book is NEXT LEVEL, like GHOST PEPPER LEVEL. Definitely, be sure to check TRIGGER WARNINGS... this book deals with some tough, very explicit topics including drug use, sexual abuse/assault, rape, death, kidnapping, bondage, murder, sex trafficking and more. This book is the first in a series!! What a great read, Stacy Rush. I can't wait to see what is next in this story.
This book was INSANELY good. I was lucky enough to read the ARC before its release on 2/1/2024. I couldn’t put this book down. The main characters were amazing. I felt all the feelers reading this. Anger, sad, happy, tears, disappointment, my heart almost couldn’t take it. The fact that this book went from somewhat dark to incredibly dark in a matter of chapters is what pulled me in! I highly recommend it if you love dark romance.
Make sure to read the trigger warnings though! Can’t wait for my next ARC in this series ♥️
This is my first book by Stacy Rush, and it did not disappoint at all! This is a contemporary dark romance, but it is DARK, so be aware and read all trigger warnings. Ryan is grieving the loss of her father, overcoming addiction, and trying to find happiness. But it seems everything is trying to get in her way. This book has twists and turns at every corner, and makes you feel all the feels. Emotions will run high, and you will not be able to put this book down. I couldn't recommend this book more! I can't wait for more from Ryan and Beau.
Twisted hunger is a dark contemporary romance. So make no mistake this is not a soft romance. Be aware of the trigger warnings when you start this book. Ryan is a girl who goes through very real struggles as she battles her drug addiction, emotional battles of falling for a man she should hate. Nothing will prepare her for the challenges yet to come. This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at the characters and I even wanted to throw the book a couple times. Stacy even has you falling for characters you should hate! I loved every turn of the page and couldn't put it down. This book is a definite winner and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Way to go Stacy!
Twisted Hunger has me needing more! Like that cliff hanger I need book two asap! I loved this story, the plot, the angst, drama. I won’t be giving too much away just so there is still suspense for you while reading. This book does start in high school, so if that’s not your thing that’s okay! This book will have you on the edge of your seat and your emotions all over! Oh and don’t fret readers the spice in this book 🥵🥵. I loved reading this book and definitely cant wait for the next one! As always please check TW / CW before reading!!
What a crazy mix of all the trope out there. I loved it. Wow the banter the love then craziness of it all is perfect. Thank you for letting me read this book
Oh.my.god. This book had me on a rollercoaster of feelings! Just when you thought it was good, TWIST and got even better!!! For anyone that likes to read a book that keep you on your toes… well hello! This is the book for you! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!
It’s f’kd up, amazing, wrong, and deliciously wonderful all at the same time Bully to lovers Enemies to lovers Touch her and die Mafia So many troupes and so many triggers in one book I’ve never had so many emotions and I loved it all We follow Ryan as she goes through her life one tragedy after another. After losing her father in a drunk driving accident she falls into a life of drugs using her body but never her V card for her next fix until the boy who’s been bullying her for 3 years finally gets her clean and they fall for each other…. Meanwhile her mother has fallen for a man as well and getting married The amount of twists and turns and spice is purely genius, told in two parts Good lord the ending we are left with has me begging for the next book immediately Fabulous job Stacy Rush!!!!
This a dark contemporary romance and when I say dark - i mean I don't think a floodlight would help you in this instance - and, believe me I was completely and utterly here for it.
The title of this book because it is twisted beyond belief and as delicious as sating any hunger. It was so intoxicating that I couldn't stop reading, it was brutal, gritty and quite frankly filthy and I loved it, I couldn't turn away from the screen even if I wanted to, and, believe me, this deviant didn't want too. Their are so many tropes that I love in dark romance, and that I think makes me crave more, and this book, this book had all of them. It is crammed full of tropes, it almost has as many as its trigger warnings, and there are a lot, for good reason. But for me, it was hot as hell.
The tropes in this book include but aren't limited too, enemies to lovers, bully romance, bully to lovers, friends to lovers, touch her and die, mafia romance, alpha male and quite honestly I am getting hot just thinking about it. The spice in this book too is super HOT - like probably one of the hottest books I have read - Carolina Reaper spice scale type hot. It was so steamy and even the parts that were icky due to the situation were also hot as hell.
There were twists galore in this book and I would have enjoyed it without them but with them I loved it even more. It literally had me on the edge of my seat and my heart pounding, I didn't want it to stop.
The characters are so well developed and whether I loved them or hated them, I couldn't stop caring about them. I have taken this series and these characters too my heart where they can stay rent free for ever. I had visceral reactions to all of them but none so much as Ryan and Beau, I love them. I went through so many emotions whilst reading this book, and, I am ready to go through them all again with the next ones. The book ended on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.
This is my first book by the author and it won't be my last, I would literally read anything she writes now.
OMG Stacy know how to write a story that will keep you on your toes. You will need to read the trigger warning. When I was reading I fell in love with the MMC. Everything that the MFC when thu and put herself through I was yelling at her. I was crying with her. This story is really deep and will stay with me for years and years to come. I stayed up last night til well in the morning wanting to finish this book to start Twisted Lies. This story will not disappoint you as all.
If you like a book that does not stop from the first to the last line of the story, than this book is for you. There are triggers so please be aware! This book is not for the faint of heart, but for the good girls who love villains. Definitely a dark twisted steamy tale between Ryan and Beau, with so many beautiful twists and turns that I never coming! Could not put this book down! Yes there were parts that were difficult to read, but it made the story feel so much more real, and relatable coming from a survivor myself.💜 The imagination in all the dark steaming scenes is truly amazing, great job, a Must read!
Twisted hunger has me absolutely needing more!! That cliff hanger 😳 I’m going to need book two asap!! Definitely 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 the Spice was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Literally the best book I have read so far this year!! This is a dark contemporary romance with ties to the mafia, trafficking, drug abuse, sexual abuse etc. definitely make sure you read the TW. This book had so many twist and turns, and just when I THOUGHT I had things figured out, oh boy was I wrong because it was like BAM! I’m excited to see what Beau has been up to since Ryan got took!
Tropes: -Enemies to Lovers -Forbidden Love -Alpha Hero -Strong FMC
TW (Took them from the book, make sure you read them before jumping in) -Dark Themes -Loss -Some Bullying - SA (of FMC) -Blackmail -Dub/Con -Non-Dub/Con -CNC -Substance Use -Forced Substance Abuse -Touches on Cutting -Touches on Mental Health -Forced Piercing of Genitals -Sexually Explicit Scenes -Violence -Homicide -Revenge -Sodomizing of a Male -Touch her and 💀 -Torture -Breath Play -Gun Play -DP -DVP -Bondage -Exhibitionism -Humiliation -Degradation -Trafficking (Not the FMC)

Twisted Hunger Review -there may be spoilers but not in detail-
This book, if you are in need of a rollercoaster then this is the book for you. Ryan’s story is a dark romance, with mafia ties, and human trafficking, and so much more. Please make sure to read your trigger warning before starting this book.
After her father died unexpectedly, Ryan lost sight of who she was and became someone no one would recognize. There are some dark and twisted events that occur and make you not want to participate in reality, because you have to find out what happens next. There will be many sleepless nights, or if you read fast just one I suppose. But Ryan’s story is one that many people will be able to relate to in some way. I know I did.
For everything in here I would give it 🌶️🌶️🌶️ in spice. The details are what really give it that romance vibes. In comparison to 50 Shades of Grey, I would choose this over that. True BDSM moments, and knowledge are described in this book. Be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that it takes you on, but remember that it is well worth it. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Firstly read your trigger warnings and secondly enjoy! This is a dark romance that leans heavily on dark themes such as drug abuse, bullying, trafficking, sexual abuse and degradation amongst a few. We start of with out mfc Ryan, she lost her father 3 years ago and turned to drugs to stem the pain. She is bullied at school and her supplier, Brock, gets favours in return for the drugs. Present day her mum has a new boyfriend and they plan to get married though she doesnt realise her bully, Beau, will be her new stepbrother. In school their relationship changes and they work things out and start a relationship. You quickly forget that Beau was the bad guy and start to love this relationship. The first part of the book covers their life and we learn Beau's father, Bain, has forbidden their relationship and plans to break them up. Bain himself has secrets and this in turn leads to Ryan being kidknapped by three brothers and forced into their life of trafficking and sexual desires.
The book ends on a cliff hanger and I won't lie, I can't wait to read the next one. The last chapter is a teaser into what Beau has been up to when Ryan was taken.
The sex seens in this are very frequent and sometimes graphic so if this puts you off a story then this is not for you. This is a dark romance so expect dark themes however is a page turner.
Thank you Stacy for writing this. Looking for to ARC the next one!
I am new to Stacy Rush books but I am blown away! I have not had such raw emotions hit me the way this book hit me! I cried, I wanted to throw my Kindle multiple times and just devoured this book!
You have Ryan who lost her father at an early age and needed things to numb the pain. Cutting, liquor, drugs and sex and only in high school. She is bullied by Beau but later finds this bully actually has feelings for her.
The story only begins from here. You have Mafia, trafficking, sex clubs, and more. This is definitely 18+ and there are a lot of trigger warnings.
But there’s a story here too of being lost, finding love, survival, fear and trauma that will gut you but leave you wanting more!
This ends with a cliffhanger but make no mistake you will love this book if you love dark romance and I can’t wait to devour the next in series!
Twisted Hunger was such an amazing book. I highly recommend checking trigger warnings before reading. I had many nights I couldn't sleep because I needed "One more chapter." The hell Ryan went through felt so real and hurt my heart. She's such a strong woman for continuing to go and help others how she can. The next book will be on the top of my TBR. Stacy Rush did an amazing job with the plot and spice mixture. Then that cliffhanger at the end... Twisted Hunger is one of my all-time favorite books! Thank you Stacy for the opportunity to read this as an ARC, I will be ordering a Paperback as soon as it's available on the release date, I must have a physical copy! A++ I love this book!
If I had to sum up this book in one word it would be....Incredible!!! Twisted Hunger by Stacy Rush has become one of my favorite books to date! This story was filled with lust, darkness, self discovery, heartbreak, trauma, and everything in between. I was fixated with Ry and Beaus relationship development through entire book. I laughed, I cried, I may have thrown my Kindle across the room several times. The biggest thing that stood out in this story was the passion in the authors words. I felt as though I was transported into Ryan's body and was living through the chaos as the character. Ry is one of the strongest FMC's you'll ever meet, she goes through so much heartbreak and still comes out swinging. Stacy did a phenomenal job with this plot from start to finish. Just when you think you know what's going to happen next, I promise you...you don't. Twisted Hunger is the first book of this Series and I cannot wait to see where she goes from here because I am deeply invested in this story and I NEED MORE!!! *Please check your Trigger Warnings this book does touch on some pretty heavy themes.*
5-star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🫣 Exactly how I like my men. 🖤🥵
My first read of Stacy Rush. Twisted Hunger.
No. This book can't end. Not like this.
I can't express how much I love this book. Just WoW!
I devoured this book. I am floored, and now this book is seared into my brain. I want the second book, like, NOW!! You will be on the edge of your seat. Guaranteed...
At first, it starts slow to me. Then, before you know it, this book will pull you in and drag you on one heck of an emotional roller-coaster ride and leave you breathless. The twists and turns will leave you speechless. I can't tell you everything thing that happened in Twisted Hunger, but it will certainly leave you hungry for more. As it has me. I can't wait for the next book. It's like I gotta know what happens to the fate of all these characters. Bain, the father. Beau, his heartbroken son. The stepdaughter who tries to mend everyone. Each plays a significant part in this, and some well will leave you hanging as to what will happen next. Like one man who wants to find her. It will blow your mind. The characters and the flow of words are all so perfectly constructed. I am hooked on her books, and this is only my first one. Pay attention to everything..
I know this is a short review, and I wanna say so much more, but I gotta leave some of it for you as readers to read. Oh yeah, one more thing the spice in here is off the charts. Phew!!
I just wanna tell you how captivated I am by the way she has written this book, and I would CERTAINLY recommend this book to anyone. Stacy Rush is an amazing author and writer. I like how she builds up each character and makes them all connect in a way that is so perfect. I couldn't find the book.
Remember, though, to check ALL content warnings. This is pretty graphic.
Wow Stacy did it again! This book was amazing! This was an easy 5 star rating for me. The roller coaster of emotions I’ve felt while reading this book 😭🥵🥵😯. I’ve cried ugly tears reading Ryan’s story. From start to finish this book has you drawn in. I literally stayed up all day reading it. This book has it all drama, spice, trauma, healing romance and twist and turns that you won’t see coming. You will fall in love with Ryan and this book will literally have you at the edge of your seat the whole way through. I highly recommend reading this book if you are looking for an epic story of healing, romance, self discovery and all the best kinds of spice! Remember this is a dark contemporary romance so please check your trigger warnings your mental health matters. If those don’t bother you then this is a must read. One of my favorite books of all time. Ryan’s story is amazing and the trauma she experiences and the way she grieves and heals from them is everything! This book has me on such a book hangover and wanting the second one asap lol. I highly recommend this book deserves 10 stars!!!
Read trigger warnings and know that if you're sensitive to any of them. Don't read this book.
Twisted Hunger, first off, wow! I did enjoy this book. This is a dark romance. However, there were some sex scenes that I felt overshadowed some good parts, and that's why I didn't give it the 5th star. Other than that, it was a great read. The FMC Ryan and the MMC Beau both have amazing character development and growth throughout the story. From how Ryan struggled with her addiction to her bully, Beau, being secretly infatuated with her, this book had me hooked. It touches on real issues that some people, especially teens, go through. Stacy Rush definitely knows how to keep you wanting to know more. I can't wait for book 2. I need to know what's next for Ryan and Beau? Or is that all in the past? Did Beau lose Ryan for good? Has Ryan really made her choice as to who's she's moving on with? I need to know. Stacy Rush, I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
I recommend this book to 18+ dark romance readers and romance readers. This isn't a book to start with if you're just getting into dark romance.

ARC copy : Good book and good writer. It’s a little too dark for me in some places - Gave 4 stars as I am not crazy about the MFC (Ryan) - I know she is young (18) when it starts but she is too flaky for me. Can’t really wrap my head around professing love for someone but being able to go with someone else! Also doesn’t seem realistic that she would forgive her stepfather so easily or that her mother went along with it without a bigger fight. I think the book glosses over the journey to forgiveness of her to her stepfather. He has done some shitty things. And lastly I am not a fan of the thought that she is potentially also about to start something with him - it just feels too icky. She is all over the place and it’s hard to fully root for her. Where’s her loyalty to her true love ? Lastly - it’s seems the book is trying a little hard with all the twists and plots - seems like book 2 will have too many twists and plots and a lot of unnecessary characters.

After Ryan loses her father she and her mom turn to different coping mechanisms to mask their pain and they're not necessarily the healthiest... Add in that Ryan is being bullied at school and you would think life couldn't get worse for her, right? Well, you'd be wrong.
Confronting her bully was the easy part in book 1 of the Twisted Duet!!
A year has passed and Ryan's mom is getting serious with her new boyfriend and Ryan has started seeing someone a new boyfriend, who helps her straighten her life out. Things become problematic when dear old step daddy doesn't approve of Ryan's new boyfriend and does everything in his power to keep them apart. Little do they know that there's a very dangerous evil that Ryan's stepdad is trying to protect everyone from. Hold on to your hats for this one!!
READ YOUR TW BEFORE YOU READ THIS!!!!

Thank you Stacy for letting me be apart of your ARC team!!
Twisted hunger is not like any book I have ever read that Stacy Rush has written. And trust when I say I've read all her books. This book as she has said steps out of her comfort zone but I feel Stacy could write about anything and it would be phenomenal. This book I love the mfc Ryan. All the hardships and how broken she is but she still has the heart to help and trust other people . This book hits home for me. You can't help but love how her and Beau relationship grows and how she's willing to sacrifice to save the one person that tormented her. It also reminds you that sometimes the people closest to you are the worst for you. My first tattoo part of it says: in all this darkness there has to be light 🕯️ and truly there is in this book. You won't in any way beable to put this book down and wonder what happens next. Stacy truly shows how diverse she truly is in any genre and that she matches to the beat of her own drums . Pre order or order twisted hunger. You will be missing out on a magnificent story.
First as always please read your trigger warnings before you start this book. The book contains some heavy triggers! This was my first book by this author and I have to say it will not be my last! This book was very well written and kept me interested throughout the entire book! The emotions within the pages of this book can truly be felt by the reader. There are twist and turns all throughout this book. Just when you think things are going good something else pops out of left field to derail everything! I was definitely on the edge of my seat the whole book! This book does leave off on a huge cliffhanger so be prepared to be left with a lot of questions and needing answers now! I absolutely can not wait for the second book!
1- I’ve read books where the characters are 18/19 years old but they speak like they’re 30 years old. But for some reason the sex scenes in this book sounded like a cheap porno to me. Just some phrases they said just sounded so corny.
2- when Ryan got trafficked I wasn’t expecting her to at some point enjoy messing around with the D’Angelos’s, I don’t know if it was Stockholm syndrome or what it was but that part was just off putting. I was thinking that part was gonna give Hunting Adeline vibes but she ended up sorta liking Sergio and felt bad he got caught up. But I’m gonna give Ryan grace and say she wasn’t thinking clearly.
3- what is this relationship with her step dad Bain? Idk if at some point later on that she’s trying to manipulate him or what? I was thrown off at the end of part 2 where she’s gaining feelings for him as well? Is it cause he’s a dom and she enjoys that type of play?? Ryan cannot make up her mind but again I’m giving her grace cause she’s been through some horrible things.
4- and lastly I wish the book was dual POV so we could know what the hell Beau was thinking and doing while he was in the marines, found out that Ryan was taken, and going on his drinking spree. I feel like that could’ve taken up a whole other level.
All in all the book as a lot of twists and turns I really wasn’t expecting and I have a feeling Beau is gonna turn things up a notch especially with the crazy cliff hangar so I’m ready to see how they deal with the rest of their tragic story!

Ryan is a struggling girl, who went through a lot. After her father passed away the teenager life goes downhill. She takes drugs, has friends who are a bad influence and pulled away from her best friend. As if her life isn’t already hard enough she also gets bullied in school, from Beau. He hated her from the beginning without any reason. It’s becoming even more confusing when Beau starts to “help and protect” her outside of school. But what are his intentions??? I was so intrigued by the story and lived through so many emotions. I definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read the next book.🖤🖤 But be aware that this is DARK ROMANCE, so pleas read the TW before reading it.
Okay what did I just read?! Ryan and Beau’s relationship is so good! Talk about everything trying to break them! I feel like Ryan always finds a way to make things worse but she’s a sneaky little thing. I felt for her and Beau because it was always something. But the last couple of chapters were where things started to get a little out of place. I mean I get it but dam why the cliffhanger?! This book kept me on the edge of my seat. The anticipation was killing me just be thrown off with that cliffie!!!!!! But the book was good. I can’t wait to see how this ends!
All I can say is wow 🤩 this book was amazing. Twisted Hunger is a dark contemporary romance. This book has a lot of spice 🌶️ but make sure you read the trigger warnings before you read this book 📚
Ryan has went through so much in this book it starts sad 😞 with her pops passing to then having an absent mother and then to having a bully/stalker that she may or may not fall in love with 😏.. And it dose not even end there… so much more happens.. such a good read I can’t even put it into words… just 🤩 amazing.. I really can’t recommend this book enough. You will definitely not be disappointed in this read😊
This book starts off like a normal story of a teenager. What happens to her is what a lot of teenagers have had to deal with. I can see why she turned into what she did after losing her father. I lost mine a few years ago and I get it. I got to my first twist in this book, and it is Ryan's mother and Beau's father are a couple, definitely didn't see that coming. I love unnoticeable twists in what I'm reading. Wow, once I get to chapter 20 there is a new twist brewing. This book is definitely keeping me on my toes and I love it. I am so excited for all of these twists that it's taken so far. This book was written so well that I feel like I'm in the movie they may have made from this book. It's crazy. I was sitting throughout the last bit of this book wondering what happened with Beau and the fact that I had to wait until the last chapter to get my answer only makes me happy that I got my answer and peeved that now I've got to wait until the next book to get the entire answer.
