December 30, 2023DNF @28% 🥴 I did not like Jada’s character AT ALL! The small dose we got of her in her sister’s book was amplified to the highest degree and not in a good way!
The author made her character unbearable. She was unhinged with her antics and the constant jokes were overkill and felt forced. I made it to page 65 and still don’t know what the plot nor purpose of the story was. Needless to say this was a huge miss for me!
Do not recommend, do not pass go, do not collect $200! Keep your time that you won’t be able to reclaim.

I hesitated a bit to read this, as I saw so many mixed reviews about Jada and her behavior. But I enjoyed this storyline of the consortium so much that I thought I would give it a shot, and I’m glad I did.
I knew Jada was a loose cannon, and crazy as hell, but damn, somehow between the last read and now, lil sis done lost her whole mind. 👀 Was she over the top? Yes! Was she doin’ the most? Again, yes! Just straight wildin’, but it was entertaining as hell for me to see all the ish she was getting herself into.
Smoke. This man was so mysterious in how he moved, and I could sense that his past is haunting him something fierce. He doesn’t have time for love, as it doesn’t fit his lifestyle. However, when he sees baby girl in action, tearing up the mall, he is immediately smitten. Someone else that just liked to cut up and damn the consequences. Sign me up please. Although he was intrigued, he had business to attend to, and if it was meant for them to meet again they would.
Well…… look at fate? These two fools would continue to bump into each other, and Jada was not having that ish. What is up with this man, cause he lookin’ suspect! Not Jada pulling a night night on Smoke? The way I hollered! See Couba you doin’ too much showing this crazy ass girl that type of stuff! 😂 The chemistry between Smoke and Jada was scorching hot, and I couldn’t wait to see what they would get into together. Now, they both were certifiably nuts, but adorable at the same time. They just understand each other, in a way that no one else would.
There are so many questions man, but I won’t get too upset as Miss Monroe did state there are many more stories to come that will answer them all. But what is the consortium into now? Who is associated with “the order”? Is Priest on the up and up? What about Deacon? Those damn twin brothers of Smoke’s seem as if they may ready for war! Whew….. About to jump into JJ’s read and looking forward to more shenanigans from the Cunningham’s. Enjoyed this! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

When the Smoke Cleared...
You all, when the smoked cleared, I did not expect to find Jada folding the rabbit and the gun. Yes, she was a menace for anyone with bad intentions. Ask her cousin, she will scarily co-sign. But the story was about bad people hunted by the good folks with Smoke and Jada's romance in the midst of the chaos. Did you see what I did there? Anyway, this was a fun and very dramatic holiday tale, I loved it

December 30, 2023This book was too over the top. Jada’s character in the previous books was funny and natural. She had a vibe and it flowed effortlessly. However in this story too much emphasis was put on the comedic aspect of Jada’s character. It was overkill and no longer funny. DNF@21%

Jada is going down on my list of favorite FMC. She gets down, she don’t play! I enjoyed reading more into her personality and Dandrige just have a way of making sure these Cunningham sisters have these men wrapped around their fingers. Smoke def came with all the smoke! I wish this book was longer.

The MMC says he's a pyschopath, and the FMC actually is unhinged. I didn't realize it until her book 😄. I mean, stomping on a corspe's head at his funeral because he screwed over your sister should have clued me in, but it didn't. I don’t typically read stories with crazy FMCs, but I have to say this book sucks you in with the absurdity of it all, and the crime mystery is engaging. It feels like a sweet, dark romance to warm up to during the holidays.

Y’all I was not ready for Jada. Like we saw bits of her in her sister book Red Roses and Regrets BUT nothing could prepare us for her own story. Jada gave not one phuck or chill. Sis was the definition of a menace. Like she stayed ready.
Now Smoke, Smoke was everything Jada needed but acted like she didn’t want. She didn’t see him coming and once she realized what was happening it was too late for them both. That man was protecting her and making sure nothing happened to her, when he was suppose to be completing a job. Like sir, them people did not send you over there to fall for the crazy, dancing, menace of a Christmas elf.
It’s like Smoke saw her unlock her crazy on someone and fell in love. It was too funny. What made it all priceless was Jada using the self defense technique Couba taught her, and putting Smoke out with the “nighty night”. Y’all when I realized what she did, I was on the floor because only Jada. Not to mention Smoke was turned on by it. Y’all know that at that point they deserved each other.
Smoke teaching Jada it was okay to be her true authentic self despite people thinking she was a loose cannon, and her teaching him he was capable of being humane. WHEW!!! Watching them fall into a relationship while denying they weren’t in a relationship was too funny. I mean these 2 would pull the guns out at any given time if it meant they would be protecting the other from someone. I loved Jada & Smoke. You did your thing with them Miss Monroe!!!

I went into this book thinking I was getting a cozy lil’ holiday love story. That Christmas cover had me fooled! Because Jada? BABY. She was a whole trip and a half! This woman had zero chill, zero filter, and honestly? I loved every second of her wild, unapologetic self. If it made sense in her head, then that was the only logic that mattered—and you couldn’t tell her nothing!
Now let’s talk about when she kidnapped Smoke, tied him up, and interrogated him like she was on an episode of CSI because she felt he was acting funny. 😂 I should’ve been concerned… but all I could do was cheer her on. She was crazy, loyal, and ride-or-die all in one, and that’s just who she was.
And Smoke? Whew. He saw all that chaos wrapped in beauty and said, “Yep, that’s mine.” The way he never once tried to change her and instead celebrated the very parts of her that others judged? That right there? That’s what gets me every time. Their connection was fire from the jump, and once they locked in, it was over.
This wasn’t just a spicy little Christmas read—it was a whole vibe. Jada and Smoke had me swooning, laughing, and wishing I had my own hitta under the tree. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a little crazy with their romance and a couple that rides HARD for each other.

Confused For Beacon Grove Christmas
“Jada’s Christmas List: A Menace and Her Hitta (The Consortium - Book 3) was hilarious as ever and a great read but I’m so lost! The characters are still intriguing 🤔 especially this new situationship between Smoke & Jada. However, I’m just confused 🥴🤦🏾♀️‼️ Some of the names are familiar from book’s one & two but I’m missing some context to Smoke, Alpha & Omega’s lives that made/brought them to become “killers for hirer”. Thereafter, why was/is there animosity between these brother? Likewise, Yacouba & Priest are both weird! As well as the mysterious/elusive “consortium”. I’m looking forward to the Valentine installment so they can expound more on everyone’s story & or their progress. …Currently though, I’m confused for this installment in the Beacon Grove “Consortium” Christmas saga.

(2.75) Jada thought she was Harley Quinn and I really needed her to tone it down some. She was funny in her small doses in the other two books, but she grated on my nerves a little in this one. I also didn’t really feel much in terms of chemistry between Jada & Smoke😕 I literally only read this just in case it set some scenes for the future books, which it sounds like it did. I’m glad the author put a note at the end that she recognizes a lot of questions went unanswered that will be addressed in later books.

Jada was wild and untamed. “I’m moonshine in a champagne flute. Delicate and deadly. Like fentanyl. Don’t play with it.” You didn’t want to be the one to set her off because she was more than willing to catch a case behind family, friends and people being bullied. She had no filter, was misunderstood and very observant. She should come with a warning label - do not shake her up!
Smoke was smooth, but don’t let the smooth taste fool ya. “ Like Hennessy in the bottle. You know it’s potent, but you think you can handle it. It’s… unassuming. But once you put it in a glass and whiff it? Then swallow that ish? Pure fire.” He had a devastating and scarring past, bodies on him, and he was a killer who didn’t need you to push him.
Crazy recognize crazy when it came to these two. Drawn to each other, sex was crazy, and their energies matched. Just what this city needed - two psychopaths in love.
This book definitely let us see that Jada’s crazy extends far beyond the grass. It goes on to port-o-potties, busted house windows, several arrests, and 0 f’s given. The man who came into her life would have alot to handle and would have to be just as crazy. Smoke was her huckleberry in every way and I enjoyed it.

💝The banter in this book between Jada, family, Smoke (Micah), DeDe had me just wanting to keep tapping the top of my kindle to read more about Jada and her shenanigans. She definitely met her match of crazy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Jada is a force to be reckoned with but Smoke knows how to tame and handle her CRAZY! This is the 3rd book in The Consortium series, and I am left craving more. I feel like while reading this entire series I integrated myself into this world, and I don't want it to end! Please Dandridge Monroe--GIVE ME MORE PLEASE! I feel like I am going through withdrawal symptoms. I need to know more about Owo & Jasmine; I need figure out what is going on with the crazy Twin-Alpha & what does Omega (the good twin) have up his sleeve? But please never stop giving me more of JaJa and her foolishness because I am here for it all and seeing how she enters her soft girl era since she is now in love.

On the sixteenth day of Christmas, Dandridge gave to us, a LOL book and a new set of Consortium mysteries!
Due to the fact we are dealing with Jada, known for wanting fam to taste some grass, pushing heads in toilets after a Mexican meal and kicking corpses…I was prepared to gird my loins because only a man with like a personality would be able to hang. And sure enough - teeheehee 🤣🤣🤣 - this story entertained from beginning to end! Jada wasn’t about that couple life, but when she met the one that liked her crazy, she was like “MINE!” Smoke was all that plus some and when he “saw” and defended what made Jada tick…. I swooned!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Jada Marie Cunningham will forever be THAT girl..a true menace. Jada met her match in smoke though but he completely understood her & her behavior making them two peas in a pod.
Now imma be honest this book was hilarious, cute, & spicy however I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the plot/storyline isn’t complete (which is explained in the authors note) also you get enough information for majority of it to make sense). The missing information is more so focused on side characters instead of Jada & Smoke but I will say I do think we’ll be seeing these two crazy people in the future.

I love Jada and Smoke together. Crazy meets crazy. They calmed each other down. I’m glad the story doesn’t end. I like to hear from the other characters. I can’t wait.
Dee Dee having no self-regulation, caused all of that unnecessary drama with her family, just like her mother. Now Dee Dee has lost the man, her children and the money. She doesn’t even have her family. She and her mother will be old and bitter together. I’m glad Jada and her mother gave them the business.

Meeting your match takes on a new meaning
Jada and Smoke are like two turtles doves in a pear tree that was made for each other. They handled each other's craziness and accepted each other as is. Meeting your match takes on new meetings in this story. I enjoyed this as I laughed and it had me singing the new lyrics to the song in my head. I'm looking forward to reading all of the books coming up. I highly recommend this series.

Jada is a special kind of FMC and I was here for all of her shenanigans. Her and Smoke are perfect for each other as their crazy match. Smoke didn't see nothing wrong with what Jada did and understood her completely. This is hands down my favorite couple of 2024. I love how Dandridge Monroe weaves more intrigue into each story. I can't wait to find out more on Smoke's brothers. This series on the Consortium and the Cunningham siblings are amazing and I can't wait for the next one.

A fun crazy time...
Jada hella menace and smoke aka Micah equally as crazy as she. When I say Jada is probably my fave sis...she def is, the fact that she reasons through her shenanigans is baffling but funny AF. Loved smoke and seeing him grow and fall for my girl...they are def a pair. Like who would have thought all this would come to a head due to her night nighting his ass...haha

Bad girls need love too
Now that Jada is off the chain but she is more righting wrong than just out here. Now, some see her as a menace because they don't understand her logic, but baby girl knows what she is doing.
Now Smoke has a rough past and is so detached that he didn't know what to do with the feelings Jada easily brought out. These two are a prefect match, and each other's partner in crime. Just love their story.

JADA!!!! She is my official book sister. This is my type of carrying on & I LOVE how Smoke allowed her to be herself safely! I appreciated the connection they had without overdoing the story by moving too too fast. He definitely fits right in with the family. This battle between Alpha & Omega seems intense & I can’t wait for the answers later on. I want Jericha to find love.

4 stars for the ridiculous foolery that Jada was on, and Smoke for opening up. Why was she always on 10? I remember her being more mature in the other 2 books, and what I kept this from being 3 stars was what I mentioned above. Otherwise, the story just kinda fell off later on. I was like “Oh okay this is set up for the full novel”, I definitely wanted more romance between the two since walls were being broken down.

I laughed so hard and loud! My poor 5 pound fur baby jumped about 5 times!! Lawwwd I swear I can see the Sanford and Son, ninja kicking, harlequin Jada!! She had me wishing she was my little sister!! I adored this book!
You have to read the books in order. The author's character building is second to NONE!!! It’s a great series that will have you swimming in bliss in a black mafia world. Generational history and all.!!
