Privilege

Rate this book
Privilege tells the story of Alex, a man who comes from the privileged classes, has noble intentions, and gets sucked into the most dramatic events to affect the UK in the early years of the 21st century, namely the financial crash of 2008 and the subsequent Brexit campaign. Alex wants to do the right thing, but he’s swimming in murky water, because right and wrong are opaque ideas on his side of the tracks, ideas which just get in the way. On his journey from schoolboy to MP, from child to father, he finds himself snared in the matrix of his upbringing. Wealth and entitlement go hand in hand, but Alex knows that no matter how good things appear to be, he will always feel cursed

The novel was written between Montevideo, Madrid and London, sometime between 2016 and 2018.
