Noooooooo! This book is not a standalone, and I didn't realize it until I reached the last page with that WTH ending! I want to scream! Actually, I am screaming right now, scaring little children on the beach who were peacefully building sandcastles. Sorry, kids, life isn’t fair!

First, I have to admit that I love K. Bromberg's writing—she blends steam and angst like a gourmet dish you savor with every bite! Her Driven series was amazing, and I’ve enjoyed several of her standalone romances too. Naturally, I couldn’t resist diving into another one of her enemies-to-lovers stories, which always call to my soul!

Rowan, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy family, is expected to settle for a domestic life, constantly overshadowed by her golden-child brother, even though she's smart and more than capable of running the family business. She's tough, resilient, and exactly the kind of heroine I can connect with.

Then enters the mysterious and charismatic Holden, who arrives to disrupt her family—making him enemy number one, right? The tension between them keeps rising, their witty banter flies back and forth, and their undeniable chemistry will have you either screaming or praying for them to get together on that office desk already!

They’re incredible together, but just when you expect a grand finale, you’ll be left disappointed—because this book is part of a series. You’ll be praying to the book gods for K. Bromberg to hurry up with the sequel before you lose your mind with anticipation (or maybe even offer up your internal organs for a sneak peek!).

This is an incredible start to what promises to be an amazing series, but I need the second book ASAP! I’m literally craving it! Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too long for the conclusion Rowan and Holden’s love story truly deserves!

The book cover might make it seem like a fantasy, but it's really a contemporary billionaire romance. If you're a fan of this genre, you'll likely find this novel enjoyable. It features a steamy romance with an alpha male character who has a tragic backstory. However, the plot is somewhat predictable and the romance feels rushed.

Overall, an average read for me.

This book is so good, a top read for me and it gave exactly what it advertised. I've never read any book by this author before and didn't know what to expect but this exceeded it. This is a billionaire romance and the main characters Holden and Rowan are such good characters. Rowan is from a wealthy family that doesn't appreciate her worth in running the company business while Holden is the incoming CEO who is out to get revenge. immediately they have great banter and chemistry despite the fact that they do not like each other. As the mmc's revenge plan unfolds we get a couple of chapters from 15 years ago where we see why he decided to embark on the revenge plan and I supported him fully lol.

I loved the romance and how the main characters matched each other's freak perfectly. The fmc was strong af, not a pushover, and was a boss especially when it came to the steamy scenes. There are the perfect amount of steamy scenes and I liked the progression of the romance.I also liked the writing in this book, it was easy to read and fast paced. Now that ending has me a bit stressed and I wish I didn't have to wait till next year to read the next book. I would recommend this book to any romance book lover, thank you Bramble for this earc for an honest review.

I will rage against unjustified cliffhangers until the day I die. Yeah a tad dramatic, but you get my point.

I love this author but I don’t see this being a duology and how this can be justified to end in a cliffhanger. Because there really isn’t a lot of plot.

The romance was boring, the tension was boring, but the worst culprit was the business talk. Please I am a romance reader, and the whole boardroom talk, was excruciatingly boring, and it just went on and on. Distribution centers, private equity, hr departments, come on, we get it!

KB writes amazing stories and great spice, and I really wanted to give this a chance, but it was all so predictable.

Rowan is from a wealthy family and they own a distillery. Holden is from the wrong side of town but is now a tech billionaire. He comes back to do a hostile takeover of Rowan’s family owned company. Sparks flair and guess what?
There is a mean brother and a grandmother’s will. Now guess how it ends.

I didn’t finish the last chapters because I was bored and lost interest.

Should you read it? If you get the books for free. I was too bored to buy the second so I might as well stop at the first.

Ohmyfreakinglanta. I have been BAMBOOZLED! Tell me why I had no idea this book wasn’t a standalone until the last 10 mins of the audiobook. 😂😭

I loved this story start to finish. Rowan is tired of being the face of her family’s business. She wants to have a more hands on position but her family would rather her marry well and leave the business to her brother. The company is hemorrhaging money and no one can pinpoint why. When Rowan meets a handsome stranger she feels a connection with him, unfortunately the next time they meet he throws her world upside down.

Holden has one goal. Revenge. He has been planning this for years and he’s so close to finally making those who destroyed his family pay. Everything was accounted for. Everything accept his attraction to Rowan. She’s nothing like he remembers her being and now he has to figure out what to do about her.

There are flashback chapters told from Holden’s POV and they help you to understand how he became the ruthless man he is now. My heart shattered for him, and I couldn’t hold back the tears.

I loved Rowan and Holden’s relationship. He sees her value and helps to get her out of her brother’s/family’s control. I loved their banter and the spice was great!

The audiobook was fantastic! The narrators, 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐙𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 & 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲, truly brought this story to life. I hope they narrate the next book too! The Basics:

Raised in a privileged but misogynistic community, Rowan Rothschild is determined to pick up the pieces after her grandmother’s death and take her spot in the family business… whether or not her family actually supports that. Just as she’s about to do so, her brother, Rhett, stabs her in the back with a plan to sell the majority of the company to the mysterious Holden Knight, a man who came out of nowhere to make his money in tech. So what does he want with the Rothschilds’ spirits company? Rowan hates him off the bat, and he delights in it—while seeing something in her that the other men in the company don’t. As the two enter into an untrusting—and very physical—alliance, both Rowan and Holden hurtle towards a clash with a price neither one is ready to pay.

The Review:

Well. That was a surprise.

I’ve never read K. Bromberg before, and in truth I kind of just went off the “enemies to lovers with angst” vibe. This was at the time (and maybe still is) categorized as fantasy romance on Goodreads, and the title and cover made me feel like it was? But it’s very much not—this is a contemporary, Rich People Problems book. And I am… good with that. Because I gotta say, this kind of knocked it out of the park.

The problem with a lot of billionaire~ romances (and I’m not sure anyone is here—the Rothschilds definitely have a LOT of money, but not that money, and Holden is mentioned to be a multimillionaire but later appears to have more cash than Rowan expected) is that there’s a lot of ‘em…. and they have become very tropey, I’ve found. An enemies to lovers book theoretically set around the corporate world would often end up feeling like the heroine is just stomping her foot and saying HMPH, never actually opposing the hero on a serious level. The business is barely noted.

And billionaire alphas? So hard to write well these days. They don’t talk like… people. They say the types of things I expect real life men who consider themselves “alphas” to say. But I don’t want a real life “alpha male”, I want a good one! (A fake one. From books.)

Twisted Knight seems to completely understand these issues and sail over them with ease. Rowan is a FABULOUS heroine. In a way, she gave Shiv Roy, but way more competent and way less of a horrible person (I say as someone who does love Shiv Roy, for the record). She’s defiant of her family, but not unrealistically so. She’s aware of her privilege… most of the time. But that doesn’t mean she wasn’t raised in it and doesn’t unconsciously (or consciously) indulge in it. She has heart, but she also has her own goals, her self-centered aims, a willingness to, ultimately, be ruthless to get what she wants. And she’s QUITE bratty.

Holden, on the other hand, has a more tragic backstory than Rowan… But he’s also lost the plot, and the book paints him in a way that’s hot and impressive but also HUMAN. Bromberg doesn’t write him as if she’s fawning over him, as if we should all just be sooooo impressed with this dude. He’s a smug bastard. But the book is not smug ABOUT HIM. It’s something that’s kind of difficult to explain, but you can feel it in the writing. The writing is just… better.

Also, I felt like this guy was one step ahead of everyone for most of the book. But I never felt like he was INFALLIBLE. He could be aggressive with Rowan, but I never felt like she couldn’t throw it right back at him (and she usually did). It felt to me like both of them were weakening in the face of love, not just her. Additionally, while they definitely have a caustic dynamic for the first half of the book or so… It’s never over the top. Never did I feel like he was BULLYING her. Fucking with her head, yeah. However, these were evenly matched adults going to bat, and that, along with the higher stakes, put this in the category of enemies to lovers versus the softer rivals to lovers or the (in my opinion) dumber bully romance.

(All this being said, he does have a very classic but good revenge motivation, and you know. I supported those wrongs. Mostly.)

The thing is that I actually felt like I could see the progression of Holden and Rowan falling in love. The physical attraction is there off the bat… But even once they start hooking up? It’s not love just yet. It’s one of my favorite things, when done right: a physical fast burn and an emotional slow burn. And yes, this does it perfectly. These are sharky people, and they don’t STOP being sharky people because they’re falling in love. They’re BOTH deeply uncomfortable with their feelings, not just him (how refreshing!). Rowan being like “oh no ew” to this man being SOFT and HUMAN in the afterglow? Amazing. Holden internally screaming while sitting in his car and watching her turn her lights off after she kicks him out for the night? Fabulous. GIVE ME IDIOTS WHO DON’T KNOW HOW TO EMOTION.

At the same time, you have an interesting set of dynamics informing their relationship. There’s the pressure from Rowan’s family, who want her to settle down, marry the very stable and very boring CHAD WILLIAMS (that name…), there’s here delightfully complex relationship with her douchey brother Rhet… I really appreciated that just because Rowan knows her brother is the worst, doesn’t mean she doesn’t love him. Because what else are you gonna do?

In a way, Holden’s frustration with Rowan’s loyalty to her family only made me feel like he truly LIKED her more. He respected her enough to know that she could do better.

I will say—while this book isn’t a dark romance by any means, it IS angsty in the best possible way. And you do end on a cliffhanger. And as I realized this wasn’t going to wrap up in one book, I was so hoping she wouldn’t pull the punch, as I’d seen other authors do in the past.

Dude. She did not pull the punch. AT ALL. I was grinning as this ended.

READY. FOR. THE NEXT. NOOOOOW.

The Sex:

Oh, also, this was stellar. Numerically there are 4 full scenes and one that comes… very close… but stopped short. And not because it was fade to black. Because someone Deserved It. Rowan runs Holden RAGGED, and he’s fully aware.

There’s a great variety here, not so much in terms of what is done, but in terms of the emotionality. You have the “get it out of our systems (but not really)” vibe, the fun vibe (uhhhh this book has sexy hide and seek, and it was the hottest thing I’ve read in a contemporary in a while), the “fraught intensity where we can’t own our feelings” vibe, the “oh nooooooo we’ve gotten twisted up in the game” vibe.

Holden is very “I’M IN CHARGE” in the beginning, and as delightful as that was, I did kind of go “maybe this is where the book starts to slip and Rowan just becomes his willing little doll”. NAH. She owns him. If you enjoy a scene where the hero gets so worked up that he basically embarrasses himself… YEAH.

I loved all of it.

Look man, I am STRAPPED. IN. Delighted to have found a new author, and excited to gobble up what else she has to offer (her backlist is expansive). Absolutely recommend this, especially if you’re trying to find a billionaire romance that WORKS.

Good googly moogly! Y’all prepare yourselves to not move from your reading position until you reach the last page of Twisted Knight because once you start, you’ll be sucked into Rowan and Holden’s world. A snarky, twisted, deviously delicious, sexy world.

I totally fell in love with Rowan and her desire to be seen—seen as a woman, seen as a business woman, seen as something more. And Holden, Lordy, where do I start… he’s also looking to be seen, but in an entirely different way.

I don’t want to give anything away because Twisted Knight does end in a bit of a cliffhanger. And what a cliffhanger it is! I cannot wait for what’s next in the Tangled Hearts series. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

OH MY GOD. I cannot even… K. Bromberg, I didn’t know you would leave us hanging with a freaking cliffhanger this time! I was so no ready for that! But my mind (and my fingers) don’t even stop when I see a new book announcement from this woman. I instantly ask for the advanced copy, and I have to say Twisted Knight got me addicted so, so fast. If you love steamy, suspenseful, office romances, trust me when I tell you don’t want to miss this one. I am not sure I can wait much to see how this love story turns up!

So, Twisted Knight is the first installment in Kristy’s Tangled Hearts series, and it tells the story of Holden Knight, a new billionaire that is decided to take revenge on the family and the business that doesn’t remember what they did back in the day to him and his brother. Enter Rowan Rothschild, sister of the acting CEO, a woman that is fighting for her career and Holden’s major distraction. These two hate each other but behind that is a simmering chemistry that is starting to boil and it’s impossible to stop when they finally act on it. What will happen with Holden’s revenge? Will he do what he has planned all along? Or will his new feelings for Rowan stop him?

Talk about complicating fucking matters.
Talk about making the gray the darkest fucking shade it can be.

I mean, leaving aside my feelings about that cliffhanger (I am so not a fan of not knowing how something ends!), I thoroughly enjoyed reading Twisted Knight. It has all the elements I love about Kristy’s books and characters and I devoured the whole thing in less than a day. I loved reading how the hate Holden is supposed to have towards Rowan turns into an unstoppable force that brings this couple closer and closer. Their forbidden connection sparks every time they share the same space, and it burns like you wouldn’t believe when they finally act on it. Mix that with mystery, heartbreak, secrets, suspense and a whole lot of unexpected emotions and you get this rollercoaster of a baby.

There’s a contrast between us.
He’s dark while I’m light. He’s unreadable while my emotions are on my sleeve. He’s the bolt of lightning and I’m feeling blinded by its force.

Therefore, I am rating Twisted Knight with 4.5 STARS because this hate to love romance grabbed me from start to finish. I loved Holden and Rowan so much; their chemistry was pure fire and inextinguishable. Their connection is so intense and when they leave the past and current business situation aside, it’s so clear they are falling so hard for one another. And I NEED THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW. I mean, after that ending, I am not sure how this one will turn out for these two, but I am sure K. Bromberg will give us another amazing installment and I hope a happy ending for this beautiful couple.

I'm not saying I didn't see it coming based on story progression but, seriously, FUCKTHEFUCKOFF with this bullshit!

I received an ARC from NetGalley & Macmillan Audio. Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg is the first in the Tangled Hearts series. This office romance, enemy to lovers has spice and the audiobook will have you experiencing some hot flashes. Let me start by warning readers this is a “to be continued “ story. We do not have a conclusion to this story something I wish I had known before devouring this steamy romance.

The story follows Rowan and Holden as they navigate their attraction to each other while each pursuing opposing goals.

As a daughter of a wealthy family, Rowan is encouraged to give up this foolish dream of working for the family business. She is a delicate woman breed for marriage and children. Instead of the office she should focus her efforts on getting married, joining the gardening committee or shopping. I will give the author credit she wrote the patronizing male chauvinism very well- the condescending attitude and how everyone in her family including her mom dismissed Rowan’s ideas was quite frankly hard to listen to. The urge to punch was strong in those moments. Ignoring everything her family and society was telling her,Rowan started working for her family business now too bad for her, her brother won’t take her seriously and let her help.

And then there is Holden- let me say this the name has at least now been slightly redeemed in my eyes. After catcher in the eye all Holdens were mistrusted. And although this Holden is morally grey and has a secret I found myself rooting for him. Holden grew up on the poor side of town-working as server in those same country clubs that Rowan’s family patronize. Several years ago after suffering a tragedy he left town vowing to come back and have his revenge. The first step in getting that revenge,- buy Rowan’s family business.

The story ends at a mayor cliffhanger fraught with a lot of misunderstandings & secrets still not revealed. I’m really hoping for a HEA for those two.The steamy scenes were really well written and well performed by the Narrators Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly.

Overall I’m happy to give this book 4.5 stars.⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I’m taking .5 off because I didn’t get my HEA. If you’re looking for me I will be in front of my computer refreshing the authors website looking for any hint of release date for the next instalment.

Twisted Knight is a story of revenge, money and the games people play to keep themselves in power. And money is power when it comes to the first book in the Tangled Hearts series. YES, series! Be warned because K. Bromberg leaves us with a cliffhanger and you just may want to strangle a character (or two) with how it ends.

Holden Knight returns back to his hometown to buy a family business and take down some people that have wronged him in the past. He is out for complete revenge. But no one remembers the kid that didn't run in their circles. To them, he's just a rich man that can help with their fledgling company that has been left in the wrong hands. Holden is rich, powerful and ready to take down everyone that had their hands in ruining his past.

Rowan Rothschild is part of the family that Holden wants to take down. But she is not like her family. She wants more than what is expected of her. She wants her family's company and she knows she can do better than what her brother has been doing. He only has control because he's a man with the right name and Rowan is a woman that is expected to be the "country club wife" that has no real future, but to marry a man and stay silent. When she meets Holden, she is immediately drawn to his good looks, but when she finds out he is taking over the family business, she fights him for any piece she can get. She is not going to give up her family's business to an outsider nor her brother. She's just gotta play the game that her grandmother has set in motion.

Man, do I love a story of revenge when it comes to romance stories. They tend to set us up with a sizzling enemies to lovers story with the best tension and banter. This definitely played out from the first time Holden and Rowan met to when they are forced to work together. All the tension and the back and forth banter, fighting attraction while also trying to get what they originally wanted. It makes for an entertaining story that is full of heat and getting to know who truly knows you in a way no one else does.

I liked Holden's character and slowly getting pieces of his past and why he has returned for revenge. His character is not an easy one to like, but I like what we got and why he's doing what he's doing. He's like the cocky, conceited billionaire that will take down people that deserve it while also burning others to the ground that have hurt what is his. And I can't wait to see what he will do with the predicament Rowan has put him in.
Rowan, meanwhile is a character that seemingly has a pretty easy life with her name and money, but she wants more. She wants the power that no one will give to a woman. She is smart and will play the game to get what she wants. She is going to be someone that surprises everyone and I can't wait to see her rise to every occasion.

Overall, this was a lengthy story that while long, didn't seem like it. There was always something happening and I liked the way Holden's past was interspersed throughout so we could understand where he was coming from. I was fortunate enough to listen to the audio, which was performed well by both Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly. They brought the heat and emotions to their characters. My only issue was with the male narrator. He wasn't exactly what I imagined Holden to talk like and seemed a little bit older (by voice alone). It didn't affect my enjoyment of the story, but didn't fit the voice in the head.

If you like a story of revenge with enemies to lovers in the workplace, this one is going to hit the right notes for you. Just beware of that cliffy. I'll be anxiously waiting for the next book because I can't wait to see what Rowan and Holden do next.

(4.5) Bromberg is quickly becoming a new fav author of mine. I’ve been devouring her F1 romances and I devoured this one too. Rich workplace hate-to-love vibes all throughout. I loved the dual POV and I loved the workplace setting. Getting to be inside both characters heads was definitely key to this story so I am grateful for that. It’s drama drama drama and I was hooked so dang quickly. I was NOT expecting this to end how it does and now I’m intrigued as heck for book 2 to come out. The writing is well done and the story is quick paced with enough going on in the background to make this longer story work really well while also giving us a good chunk of romance and steam. Bromberg did a fantastic story of creative a multi level romance story full of twists and secrets with room for so much more as the series develops. Big fan!

This is a rich girl/rich guy enemies to lovers CLIFFHANGER! I went in knowing it was a cliffhanger and decided to punish myself anyway. I don't regret it.

I really enjoyed Holden and Rowan and am looking forward to where this may go.

I think I might have a good idea? However, it's hard when there's no information on how many books there may be or even when the next book is coming out.

I am not going to say much. Go in blind! I didn’t know much when I started. This is classic Bromberg. All the makings on heat and heart.

With a plot that twist great and turns brutally, characters you love and hate. It has everything.

This is by far my favorite book I’ve read in 2024 (93 books total so far)! This book has a good plot and just the right amount of smut to keep you invested and turning the pages for more! The back and forth between Holden and Rowan is done well for the enemies to lovers trope. The writing telling the agendas of both Rowan and Holden is amazing. I found myself cheering them both on throughout! The gradual reveal of Holden’s reason for revenge is so good!

The narrators for the audiobook (Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly) were great in conveying the emotions of each scene.

There is just something I love about a good revenge plot, and the one in this book is a new favorite of mine. This story was so captivating and fast-paced. Rowan and Holden are both such complex characters, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Through flashbacks we learn how Holden came to know Rowan’s family years prior, and why he is set on destroying them (he has good reasons). This one will make you laugh, cry, want to find your own Holden, and/or maybe unalive a couple of the characters.

If K. Bromberg writes it, I’m going to read it. I absolutely love her style, and the worlds and dynamics that she creates. I was NOT expecting that cliffhanger though! Book two can’t come soon enough!! I need to know what happens between Rowan, Holden, and this family business 🫣

I listened to the audiobook and the narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly was perfect! They really brought the emotion out for the characters and made it all that much better.

I need book two NOW!!!

Rowan has always been underestimated and is out to prove there is more to her than people realize.

Holden has held onto a grudge for a very long time and is ready to exact his revenge. However, he did not plan on Rowan, or rather, who Rowan is today.

Kristy does a really great job of blending the tension and chemistry between Holden and Rowan as well as their opposing goals for Rowan's family's business.

I love that this was a page-turner from the start and kept that momentum til the very end. And then left me wanting more, so much more immediately. I cannot wait for book two.

3.5 ⭐️ Rounded up for GR. This was my first K. Bromberg book and I enjoyed it. I love a good romance with an actual story and this one is very intriguing if not drawn out a bit. It’s on the longer side and felt like it unnecessarily dragged in parts. It follows Holden, a man with mysterious background and new money in town who plans a majority buyout of Rowan’s family business, unbeknownst to her as a part of a revenge plot. Her family is pretty much society royalty in their town and Rowan tries desperately to understand this man as she attempts to hold onto her family’s business. Throw in family drama, tortured pasts, secrets, lies and deception, oh and lots of spice and you’ve got the plot of this book. I am excited that this will be a series and can’t wait to pick up the next book. I am so glad I knew it was a series going into this read otherwise I would be screaming into a void because there is no HEA in this one.

This was an audiobook read for me, Victoria Connolly was great, her interpretation of bad ass Rowan was really well done. My biggest complaint comes from Holden, read by Patrick Zeller. I did not like his chapters, he was so broody and breathy and overall entirely too dramatic for a man to my liking. I think if I had read this instead of listening, I would have liked Holden a lot more. Not looking forward to his future audio performance unless he can tone down the theatrics.

Also, I don’t think the title and cover accurately describes the vibe of this book. It makes it seem more dark romance or fantasy and it is none of those things. So don’t judge this book by the title or cover.

This book was absolutely breathtaking and such a wonderful storyline.The spice and chemistry between Holden and Rowan was delicious and oh so stimulating. I felt every emotion reading from beginning to the very end. I cannot wait to read what K. Bromberg has up her sleeve next for Holden and Rowan (the IT couple since Emerson and Charlie from Sara Cate's Salacious Players Club. 😋

The cliff-hanger was CRIMINAL!

He’s dark while I’m light. He’s unreadable while my emotions are on my sleeve. He’s the bolt of lightning and I’m feeling blinded by its force.

Holden wants his revenge against the Rothschild family after they took his brother away from him, simply for being on the other side of the tracks. He plans on buying and taking over a company that the Rothschild family has. But he wasn't counting on Rowan Rothschild and how different she is from what he remembers her to be. His attraction to her makes things more difficult for him, especially when she serves as a distraction from his end-goal.

"The gray is a lot of fucking fun sometimes. It's addicting. You'll step into it again with me regardless of what you say."

It's been a bit since I've read some good ol' tension. Also, I can't believe this is my first book by this author!! After reading this book, I need to read her backlist, because wow! Holden is definitely a man of action. Things are supposed to be strictly physical between him and Rowan, but he keeps spoiling her every chance he gets, not realizing it's his emotions that are taking the wheel and leaving his head in the trunk of the car.

Because I needed someone.
Because I wanted to see you.
Because...it's you.

I had no idea this was a trilogy, so naturally, I am sad, especially after that cliff-hanger!! It's crazy that I didn't even notice the end of the book had arrived. Didn't even realize the acknowledgements were staring right at me when I passed the last page to read the last few paragraphs. I was so into what was going to happen that my eyes didn't even register that. So the shock was REAL!

This book! The first in a new series that I will 100% continue was highly addictive. It is a morally grey suspense romance I really, really enjoyed! First, Rowan and Holden are equals who are smart, opinionated and push each other. Neither needs the other, they want the other. Second, the suspense driving this story forward is twofold - with both Rowan and Holden keeping huge secrets from each other that readers are in on as they each navigate their plans to get revenge and come out on top.

The audiobook is a duet narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly. I loved Connolly’s performance of Out on a Limb. It was as fast-paced as the story deserved. So much fun!

This story took me for a ride! I went in completely blind, and was absolutely enthralled with the lies and deception that unfolded as the story played out. In a town where perception and status matters, all is not as it seems when Holden Knight waltzes into Rowan’s world, throwing an even bigger wrench into her tumultuous relationship with her family and their failing business. He is arrogant yet charming, is ruthless in all things business, yet he seems to be the only one that truly sees Rowan for everything that she is.

“To be intrigued by her is one thing. To be attracted to her? That’s a whole other Pandora’s box I’m not ready to open.”

Rowan was so damn smart and capable, but no one in her family saw her for anything more than a pretty face, truly the face of the company, but nothing else. And while Rowan may have been charmed by Holden, there’s one big problem, Holden had revenge to seek and nothing would stand in his way to finally getting his vengeance. The flashbacks to his past absolutely ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped all over it, each one giving one more piece to the puzzle of his life and what truly happened to cause him to become so cold. This book was the perfect mix of forbidden romance and steamy scenes to keep me enthralled right up until the last page! Looking forward to the seeing what happens after that cliffhanger!

Bromberg is the first book in the Tangled Hearts trilogy, a steamy workplace romance about enemies to lovers. 😮‍💨 Rowan, is a strong and motivated woman from an old-money family battling for her place in the family business. Holden, is a ruthless billionaire with a revenge objective. Their banter was excellent, and the undeniable chemistry carried on throughout the story. Together, they share a sexy hidden romance!

Bromberg brilliantly creates a sensual, slow-burn romance that has readers on the edge of their seats. I could not get enough! Her writing skills shine through in this gripping boss-employee romance that combines emotions, affection, and intrigue. The slow build is intense, yet just when you're ready for the climax...Cliffhanger! Yes - there is a cliffhanger! I am eagerly awaiting book 2!

What an addictive book this one was!

I truly couldn’t stop reading after reaching 30% into this one. I already knew K. Bromberg writing was super evolving, but I never read anything from her outside the formula one world, and let me tell you: I am so glad I did!

Holden and Rowan own a place in my heart, and I truly love their chemistry and their background.

This book is the perfect story for everyone who loves billionaire, workplace, and revenge plots with chemistry beyond this world.

I found myself tearing up so many times, especially because of Holden, and let me tell you: HOLDEN KNIGHT IS FIRE.

I truly can't wait to continue this journey, and I want to scream to everyone: 🗣READ 🗣 THIS 🗣 BOOK 🗣!!

I truly don't want to deliver much of this story because I am so glad I went to it blindly - I want to know everyone's thoughts on this one so please share it with me once you finish it!

Wow! K Bromberg is one of my favorite authors. I've read almost everything that she's written. I've even met her a couple of times. She creates characters that have a lot of depth and charisma. This book is no different. There's always good banter as well as a little angst.
Holden and Rowan are my favorite type of M/F characters, strong with a heart of gold. Rowan and her brother were part of a rich, snobbish family. Unlike the rest of her family, she was smart, caring, and willing to work for what she got. Her goal was to one day run her family business, despite having a brother who was given that position.
Holden's life ambition was to destroy everything that Rowen's family held dear, which included her, in the beginning. He planned to destitute that family, and I was right in there supporting him. This is book one, and it ended in a cliffhanger. I can't imagine how this will end as an HEA, but I'm sure Kristy B. will figure it out.
