Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.
Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.
I loved this. Thank you, James and Werther, for creating this masterpiece series. ❤️ I can't wait to read more about Jessica and Erica's relationship. Don't make us wait forever.
It's no secret that I LOVE SIKTC. Erica and I, it was love at first sight - well, mostly me, but let's not dwell on that - and then the other characters - Jessica, Cecilia, Cutter, Aaron... - the mythos, the extraordinary drawing by Werther Dell'Edera, the colours by Miquel Muerto, the action, the horror...
As well as the sublime illustrations throughout the book, we're treated to some great contributions from James and Werther on their approach to the subject.
All of which is to say that any self-respecting SIKTC nerd fan will love this book!
Excellent commentary from both James Tynion IV and Wether Dell'Edera. They shared insight and inspiration for story choices. While the book included many covers from various artists, my favorite parts were the script pages in each section and the preliminary and penciled pages. It's truly an excellent book for all SIKTC fans.
