After accidentally bonding with two of my mates, I discovered secrets that were kept from me. These things have changed my life—I can’t go back to what I was now that I know what I am.
I’m committed to stopping Amber and her followers. They’re still kidnapping wolves and vampires, and now they’ve started taking humans, too. We’re stuck trying to figure out what they hope to accomplish.
Amber crosses a line when she takes one of my mates. I will find her, and I will save him, no matter the cost.
I’ve lost my family, but found myself. I have to figure out exactly what that means. I know there are more answers waiting for me, and I must find them. My obsession may chase everyone away.
When we start finding bodies, things get urgent. Since they’ve taken one of my mates, it’s personal. I have to save Luca before it’s too late.

Book two following Wolf Bane. Garnet is dead set on saving Luca from Amber, but her pack mates rein her in bringing sense to her. She needs to train and get stronger with her magic before diving head first without the power. Luca escapes with the help of some fae man and makes it back to the pack. Tension and weirdness is among them. Canyon they overcome the battles between them and against Garnet’s aunt Amber? Does Garnet finally bond with her last mate to make her pack complete?
This was full of nail biting parts. The his author definitely keeps you drawn in to the drama and battles of this pack and their bond. Loved this read!
M.P. Starkweather continues the tale of Garnet and her four fated mates in Wolf Caged. She draws us in and keeps us glued to the pages as she creates her magic with words. We start right where we left off in Wolf Bane and Garnet and her 3 mates do all they can to rescue her fourth mate, Luca from her aunt's evil clutches. But, with the help of a mysterious Fae man, Luca escapes and makes his way home. All is not right with the mates, but they fight for their family while continuing to defeat Amber and rescue the prisoners she still holds. Secrets are revealed, and more arise, and it is time for a new leader of the wolf pack. This is not the last book of the series, so it does end on a cliffhanger, and we have not come to a happily ever after, yet. I do suggest you read book one before you dive into Wolf Caged to get the whole story.
Holy cow, things just keep getting more complicated for Garnet and her four fated mates. We start out with Garnet and the remaining 3 trying to figure out how to rescue Luca from the evil Amber. Even when they prove successful, he still feels disoriented and separate from Garnet. They have been best friends for years, but now she has the other men to rely on and Luca feels lost and somewhat left out. There are a few happy moments in this book, but it does end on a major cliffhanger.
There are secrets that come out and alliances that are tested, some fun, but definitely not a happily ever after yet!
This is one of those trilogies that requires the second book to be slower paced. The story was too long to be a duet so the author had to flesh out a second book to make it a trilogy. The slower pace did not make it boring, however. There were twists and turns that kept me guessing. Biggest complaint, there was almost no spice. I wish that the one spicy scene was a bit more fleshed out. It felt kind of rushed. I am ready for the epic conclusion it feels like it is going to be huge!

Garnet just wants to have all of the mates with her. Luca being kidnapped is driving her crazy. She wants to take action and all of the waiting and planning is just cramping her style. Will they get Luca before something bad happens to him? What about the rest of the ones that were taken as well. Will they be able to stop Amber? Will she be able to learn enough about her powers and spells to defeat Amber?
This was a good second book in the series. You get to see more of each of the group’s individual personalities and how they are trying to come together to make their pack more cohesive. There are so many moving pieces to this storyline that it does hold your attention. I can’t wait for the next book as this one does end on a cliffhanger.
M P Starkweather continues her story of Garnet and her mates in Book 2 of the trilogy. This book is a nice pace drawn us in and getting us ready for book 3. Books need to be read in order. Book 2 of our story is a rescue mission to get one of Garnet’s mates away from her Amber and unlocking more of Garnets magic to be able to help when needed. Book 2 delves more into each character on an individual basis giving us more insight into who each of them are and also how each can fit into the dynamics of group. This book keeps you guessing on what is going to happen at each turn that keeps you turning those pages. Honestly MP Starkweather you do keep us on or toes in this one. Cant wait for the next book.
That said, it won’t be in this book, sorry, but it’s true. Cliffhanger at the end, it’s a big one too, but it’s okay. Book three will be out before we know it, right????
Amber has big plans brewing, but sadly, nobody can figure them out. Garnet has her mates and they’re searching for Luca. Will they find him in time?
This one is an up and down, from start to finish, 375 pages of will they or won’t they. When you think you know what’s coming, sorry, it probably isn’t. Happy reading. The characters just are begging to be loved and you can’t fault the guys for doing everything in their power to keep their girl safe!
Love thy is series so far, the first one was good, but this one was even better. The character development is amazing and the way their relationship develops rings true. It’s not rainbows and butterfly’s from the start, they have to actually work to make their relationship work. They also work really hard at developing relationships around each other, not just the fmc. The plot is definitely developing and leaves you guessing and on the edge of your seat! Did end on a cliffhanger, but don’t all the best ones?!? Now to dive into book three and figure out how they are going to get out of their current predicament with everyone intact!
This is the second book in the Hunters of the Forest series and once again I was hooked right from the start. I was completely drawn in and I didn’t want to put it down. The story picks up where the first book left off. Garnet’s growth though out the story is fantastic and I love how the bonds with her men get stronger. M.P. Starkweather’s continued world building is amazing. There are surprise twists and once again we are left on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for book three!
Wolf Caged draws you in and doesn’t let you go! That ending though; I just wanna go nooo! Book 2 really put my feelings through the wringer. We start out with knowing Garnet is still trying to find Luca and get him back. Well, he comes back and there's a whole slew of new things and problems that come up. We finally find out what the driving force of Amber is. Talk about I didn’t see these things coming! I’m still going ‘WOW’! M. P. sure knows how to intrinsically draw you in and leave you wanting more. Luckily we won’t have to wait too long for Wolf Moon, book 3!
Wolf Caged is Book Two of the Huntress of the Forest series by M.P. Starkweather.
Wolf Caged will immediately draw you in and keep you turning the pages, not wanting to put it down. This book will definitely have you in your feelings.
Wolf Caged picks up exactly where book one leaves off. We have Garnet, aka Red, trying to find Luca and get him back. His return brings to light a lot of new problems. But you do find what drives Amber to do what she does.
M.P. Starkweather will draw you in, leave you wanting more, and have you impatiently waiting for the next book. 5 out 5 stars.
Wolf Caged (Hunters of the Forest Book2) By M.P. Starkweather is a paranormal reverse harem novel. Oh my here we go again right where we left off. The author continues to spin a fabulous world and tale as we learn more about our leading lady and her men. I love the strength and power she is gaining with every book and page. She will not give up! I really love watching as the romance and love builds between her and the guys as well. I can not wait to dive into book 3 to find out more! Is it time yet!
I loved this book. Once i started to read, i could not put it down. I did get frustrated with Garnett at the start because all she could focus on was rushing in to go get Luca back. She at least listened to the rest of her mates and started to focus on training to get strong. I am glad that the relationship between all 5 of them grew stronger near the end of the book. I can't wait for the next book.
Even though Garnet wants nothing more to save Luca and stop Amber, but she stops and listens to her mates. Even though she doesn’t want to she trains so she can be prepared for her next part she knows is coming in their journey. This part of their journey will show their struggle and their strength together and apart. I can’t wait to see what the next journey they will carry us on in the next book.
I love the plot of this book. I like the men in the group. I'm iffy on the FMC but not so much I can't read it. I struggle with the authors writing style. It jumps around a lot and had lots of POV changes. Some scenes seem to end in the middle. But it's not badly written. The plot moves at a good pace and the character development is good. It just tends to take me longer to get through the books than usual for me. I'm excited to see how it all ends.
This is the second book in the series, and it picked right up where book one left off with Luca in captivity. Garnet doesn't like to be on the sidelines while Amber is holding her mate. There's A lot of character development throughout the story and a lot of back and forth on what they will do. We're left on a massive cliffhanger and an idea of what Amber is trying to do. I'm curious as to how this will all be pulled together and finished.
Garnet and her mates desperately search to save Lucas. But with Amber working to stop them, they have their work cut out for them.
Could not put down this book. The story and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat and have you wishing and hoping for a happy ending. Loved seeing the interactions between the characters and all of their relationships grow. Cannot wait for book 3 to come out because omg that ending!
Garnet is dead set on saving Luca from Amber. Her deranged pycho aunt.
She has her mates but needs Luca. She has to learn her powers and get stronger. This book had its ups and downs like a Rollercoaster but it definitely keep you on your toes.
That cliff hanger was a big one though but worth it, cause we all know book 3 will.be here soon.
Wow what an adventure for this book! This is the second book and the story develops more and expands into an epic plot. I love how the author wrote this and how even tho they're fated mates it doesn't just make them be automatically in love and perfect together. The author makes it feel like real life while still having the magic and shifters!
Absolutely loving this series. It is full of everything that you would want in a book. Garnet is a strong female trying to take down Amber and save not only others but one of her mates. The writing in this series is truly awe inspiring. M.P. Starkweather is a great author and always has me wanting more from her.
What a rollercoaster this is! It drew me I'm and would not let me go. Now on rescue her fourth mate but he already received help and is going home. I love that not everything is smooth sailing but that relationship takes work and how things are described. Now since this is a series I would recommend reading book 1 and know this isn't the last book but I do look forward to reading that one foo!
This is the second book of the Hunters of the Forest series continuing Garnet and her mates' story will all the magic, secrets, intrigue, and suspense from the previous book. This book was a bit slower in pace but I still very much enjoyed their story. This does end on a cliffhanger that very much leaves you hanging foe book 3.
There is lots to unpack in this book as the plot thickens. I'm enjoying Rhy's character growth and Garnets' inner strength. All the twists as well as her powers grow... and we find out her true heritage.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the series finishes in book 3!
Garnet and her men are great. I have a feeling I know part of what's coming at them next, I can't wait for book three to see if I was right. This is a very cute, sexy, sad, story that was well worth reading. If you haven't gotten started yet, go get Wolf Bane. Hope it hooks you too.
Red I absolutely love you and your men. So many twists and turns I could hardly keep up. I throughly enjoyed this story and I can’t wait for the conclusion of this series. I am also hoping all the questions I now have will be answered.
This is the second book in the series. Garnet and her mates have to figure out how to rescue Luca and the other wolves and vampires and stop Amber. We learn more about Garnets lineage and some of Ambers plans. Need more
I enjoyed this continuation of the trilogy. I loved how she continued the story and built on the plot and world building. I absolutely love me a story with twists and turns because it gives off the sense of the unknown that I love. Can’t wait to see how she takes on book 3.
It took me a bit to get back into the story. I would suggest reading this series in one go. It is full of excitement, drama, steam etc. So much fun to read and I cannot wait till the next one.
