Very, very basic info. If you’re really a complete beginner to HD, this could be good for you. But it leaves a lot out and it’s basically just exactly what’s on her app and instagram. I thought since it was a book it would go deeper and be more comprehensive, so I’m definitely disappointed.
Jenna Zoe has cultivated an amazing book here. I really enjoy the language and articulation offered. I find deeper meaning into reading my own chart. I appreciate that the book offers more perspectives than what is offered online and via the app.
For instance, the gift section is absolutely amazing. Specifically, “How I Flex this Gift” and “What Blocks this Gift” is a great way to frame gifts. However, I was a little disappointed to see that areas of what’s offered online absent from the book. My Manifestation Process, my Life Theme, my Digestion, my Strongest Sense all being absent.
While the book may not be absolutely comprehensive, for instance, there’s not much about planets and how they may relate to gifts. The information contained within is valuable. This is a great addition to my library and resources about Human Design and I’m grateful for the resource.
Best book for diving into the gates of one's chart, with almost 50% of the book taking the time to dive into just them, of which I love how she calls them Gifts instead!
That is what they are, gifts we've been given to thrive in this lifetime.
She not only lays out each of the 64 Gifts (gates) in detail and in easy to grasp ways, but then she also includes "how to flex this gift" and "what blocks this gift" for each one! That's my fave thing about this book, her immense details of the Gifts.
Super helpful and powerfully insightful.
No colors, only two or three pics/graphs, but a good layout that lets one go to the points of personal interest and glean what they need and close it, until the next question pops up.
Glad I chose to purchase this for myself. I'll def use it as a go-to reference, often!
love learning about human design, annoyed by this book
A poorly structured reference book at best. A ton of duplicate information and circular dialogue. No “why” or “how”, just “what” over and over again. Could have saved a lot of paper. Anyways… will keep reading and learning about HD, just not from Jenna Zoe.
This book is perfect for someone like myself who is brand new to human design. I liked how the book was laid out and it was simple for me to follow. I resonated strongly with the facets of my human design and this book made me excited to continue to learn more.
Good book if you are a beginner, the first chapters explain the basics of the chart and different profiles in a way that is easy to understand
The strength of this book though is in the kast chapter where each gate is described, along with how to use it and what could block its expression, it was very interesting!
Easy to understand, but very basic info. Not much different than what's on the paid version of her app. I'm glad to have a physical copy and I think it would be a great book for someone who really just wants to know the basic level "personality" information.
This book was disappointing to me. I'm new to Human Design and thought this would be a good source to increase my knowledge. However, it was just a regurgitation of what was already available on her Human Design app. In addition, the repetitiveness of the profile types was irritating.
I really appreciate Jenna's insights and wisdom. I think she's incredibly smart and I particularly very much enjoy her Human Design podcast.
However, as someone who has studied Human Design from Ra's initial teachings, the book would feel very hard to understand for someone who is new to HD. There's no differentiation of circuitry (tribal, collective and individual), which makes it hard to understand her explanations of the gates if you are not aware of what the different streams mean and their nature. Every description feels very generalised and not specific enough to actually create change/impact as opposed to when you hear the actual keynotes and original names of the gates. The same goes for the profiles - we don't need to put a positive spin on everything. Sometimes the actual keynotes make us truly accept and understand ourselves.
I wish Jenna would stop gatekeeping the not so pretty descriptions of gates, profiles and design in general. It's what actually helps us decondition.
I'm obsessed with this book. I can't stop talking about it and it has completely changed the way that I actualize my spirituality. I want to listen to it 10 more times! If you are looking for spiritual guidance and a deeper understanding of yourself, listen to this book. Tip: look up your human design, and skip past the bits that aren't yours. The beginning part is nice to listen to in full, but towards the end of the book, it goes through like 50 something gifts and an explanation about them, and it repeats a lot for each differ number ratio too. My human design had 19 gifts so I listed to those and skipped past the others. Props to you if you listen to it all!!!!
This is my fourth book on HD since deciding to deep dive a few months ago. I loved the direct, but conversational tone. It was like me reading journal entries about myself to myself. A lot of confirmation of awareness I already possess but also aha moments when it came to how she described the gates as gifts. I’d recommend this book to other newbies to HD who want an easy-to-digest overview that’s encouraging and inspiring to go further in your experiment. Happy living!
This is an excellent book for beginners. It simplifies the often complex language of Human Design, guiding readers step-by-step through understanding their type, strategy, and authority. Zoe’s clear writing and practical examples make it easy to apply these concepts in everyday life.
The book’s focus on empowering individuals to live authentically according to their unique design sets it apart. Whether you’re new to self-discovery or looking for a fresh perspective, this book is a great starting point for anyone curious about Human Design.
Something wrong with the audiobook where it played out of order and also repeated itself at random spots. Either way, this book sounded like some introduction into a cult. Based on when and where you were born, some hoodoo magic is going to tell you what your role in life is. Everyone will fit into one of six vague categories and that is how you should live your life. Hint: most people are subservient and their purpose is to wait until they are needed by one of the action people. Nah, I am good thanks.
Loved this book. So easy, clear and simple to understand. I had so many lightbulb moments throughout and feel like I’ve got more clarity on who I am, the direction I want to go in life and how I want to live it. It just makes sense and it’s like it’s given me permission and the confidence to be me.
I haven’t read any other books on human design but I feel like this would be an incredible resource for anyone just starting and in general.
for most of the book, it felt relatively standard. i’ve read many resources on HD, and jenna’s explanations of much of our design (type, strategy, authority, themes) was nothing new or groundbreaking, though i appreciate her unique voice. but the gifts (gates) section, wow. while i’ve read all about my gates and have related to them, jenna’s explanation gave me an entirely new view on myself. reading her descriptions felt so validating and comforting. i was easily able to pick out how those elements show up in my personality and in my life, in a judgment free way so different than i’d viewed those things before. it felt, at times, she was talking directly TO me. i felt seen and appreciated for all the things i’ve doubted within myself, or shamed, or labeled as “too much”. very happy i jumped on the kindle sale yesterday and added this to my resources to return to again and again.
I've been wanting to learn about Human Design for so long but other than following Instagram accounts like Jenna's I found it hard to find the info I was looking for! I was so excited to find out about this book shortly after it was published and it really gave me a good foundational understanding of human design in general and of my design too. Totally recommend to anyone who wants to understand human design!
I am quite intrigued by human design, but this book isn’t much more explanatory than her app. Admittedly, I only focused on the parts that pertain to my design, but I felt like it was just another expression of the same information as I got on the app. Probably wouldn’t have bought the book if I knew that.
Giving it a 3, because I did find the information interesting… I just didn’t need it repeated in a book form.
This book explains in an easy, digestible way what human design is. You can just read the parts that concern your chart and read what the things are that you are nature good at. It is fun to read this and see what things are true and recognize the parts that I knew I have room for growth. It is an interesting way to look at who you are supposed to be and how you can get there.
I've read a lot about Human Design from multiple authors, and by far, Jenna Zoe is the best at teaching this material. Can't recommend her work enough.
This book gives you enough of what you need to get started. Human Design does go way deeper than what she chooses to cover here, but I think it's good she wrote this book without every single in and out of the practice.
Incredible read! This book is a profound guide to unlocking the mysteries of life and the universe through Human Design. Jenna Zoe masterfully shows how aligning your actions and life path with your unique Human Design can lead to a deeper connection with the cosmos and your true self. A must-read for anyone seeking clarity, purpose, and alignment in their life journey.
Barnum effect.
