From USA TODAY Bestselling Author Gina LaManna comes a frothy new thriller series featuring Detective Kate Rosetti. Full of laughs, love, family... and the occasional dead body.
Welcome to St. Paul, Minnesota—home to strong coffee, deadly winters, and Detective Kate Rosetti—a rising star in the local homicide department. When a young woman turns up dead along the Mississippi River in her latest assignment, Detective Rosetti quickly realizes it’s the work of a notorious cross-country serial killer.
To complicate matters, Kate’s troublemaking sister turns up out of the blue in need of a place to live. A strikingly handsome FBI agent appears at the crime scene, convinced this case belongs to him. And a certain British billionaire is a little too interested in the murder… and in Kate.
As she begins to close in on the killer, the investigation takes a turn for the personal. It’s one riddle after the next, and if Kate can’t sort out the murderer’s identity before his next kill, she’ll be up next on the autopsy table.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Gina LaManna has also called Italy and Los Angeles home. After studying numbers and equations in college, she realized multiple choice tests were “just not for her” and began writing books instead. She loves cappuccino foam and whipped cream and would subsist solely on sprinkles if possible. She currently lives in St. Paul with her wonderful husband and family.
Read books 1-12. A hardcore, hard working female detective. Think of JD Robb, only cleaner murder scenes, hints of romance and rarely no foul language. Not futuristic, in the Midwest but there are similarities hence only 4 stars. I was kind of worried about the books being a little shorter, thinking maybe missing details but was pleasantly surprised. If there were more to the books it would've been only fillers. They are perfect length as they are. Kate is struggling with her personal life as in not having one so it is a journey with her learning more about herself at the same time of solving crimes. These are good books with good characters and plots, my housework suffered because I needed to know what going to happen next and of course who did it. No spoilers from me but good, clean mysteries if you enjoy this type of reading.
I was so enthralled reading these books, that I woke up two hours early to read the last 4 chapters. Gina LaManna makes you feel as if you are part of the story. Amazing! I can’t wait to read more!
I truly loved these books. I read them one after another and I already want to know what books are ready. They are clean good stories that are hard to find. You will not be disappointed!
The characters are well defined. You can imagine each one of them. The detective is very direct and honest, and her family is funny. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all six books in the series.
This book wrapped up the entire series in a big red bow. An ending like what was expected, but still a good ending. I enjoyed each book in this series. It was just what I needed.
