And then I met Cruz Winslow…
He’s everything I’m not, and then some —a budding musician, he’s cocky and
arrogant. He’s at ease in every situation and treats me like I’m the only person who
exists. Together we’re in sync with everything we do and I’m falling hard and fast for
him.
He’s also a complicated boy and although I can’t begin to understand the life he’s
lived, I want to be there for him in every way possible.
And that’s how it happened.
Slowly but surely, he’s captured my heart —
One I wasn’t prepared to give it away…

Jade Moore is not my type…
She’s a good girl and has her entire life mapped out. I’ve never met anyone like her.
The girl is disciplined and determined.
I’m not.
She follows the rules.
I don’t.
She’s sunshine and girl next door.
I’m sex and booze.
We don’t mix.
But from the minute I lay my eyes on her, I’m done for. She’s everything I never knew
I wanted…
And now all I want is...more Jade.

Jade and Cruz might’ve gotten off on the wrong foot, but later on that was put aside.
While they were both students at the same university, Cruz was also a member in a rock band which was just starting to take off.
Their story was nicely developed as well the characters, with depth and the writing was very good.
However, the long-drawn-out elaboration became a little tiring, giving me second thoughts for reading the rest of this series...

This was a quick, fast-paced, and enjoyable read. For those that like the “After” series by Anna Todd, I would definitely recommend this novel as it felt similar (but not a replication). In fact, if you are looking for a similarly styled novel that’s less problematic than “After”, this would be the one to go for.

The writing, in combination with the story, flowed so well that it was easy to fall into this book. I loved both of the main characters individually but especially enjoyed seeing the character development of Cruz throughout the story. It was hard to put the book down from start to finish and I got through it in what felt like no time at all.

This novel was a great introduction to the series, or even could be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I definitely want to read more in this series to see what happens to the two main characters but I also would like to see the outcome for some of the side characters that we were introduced to as well.

I enjoyed reading this story. Iit wasn’t like others I have read and, during it, I kept waiting for that huge thing to happen that would make me so angry. But it never came and I was so relieved.

Jade is starting her first year of college. She has goals and her mind set and she is there to complete it all. Nothing will get in her way. And then she walks in on an embarrassing situation where she finally meets her roommate and Cruz. At this point she has already made her mind up but when he becomes a bug that just won’t leave her alone her opinion starts to change.

Cruz comes from money and power but he also has his own ambitions and dreams. His family may be messed up but that’s not who he is. He may be the lead singer of the new upcoming band but that’s not what he wants to do forever. With a class getting in the way of his future, he goes to the only person he knows can help him. Jade.

The more these two spend together the more they grow close. I loved reading how their love grew and how different Cruz was from the typical musician. He loves and cherished Jade and will do everything he can not to hurt her. And she loves and worships him. Their love continues to grow and Cruz continues to show Jade the world.

I was fully expecting something major to happen and end their relationship but I was so relieved to find that didn’t happen. Something unexpected and sad did happen but their love for each other got them through it. I loved having that little piece of the next book to sink into and can’t wait to read more of Jade and Cruz’s story.

More Jade is the first novel in the "Love You More Rock Star Romance" series by new to me author Laura Pavlov. I enjoyed this story immensely. It is a super sweet, swoon worthy, slow-burn romance that is laid out in such a way that you are drawn in from the first chapter to the last. I swear, I was completely captivated the whole way through.

I cannot imagine a single reader not falling head over heels in love with Jade and Cruz. Separately these characters are fantastic, but together they are the perfect pair. Their chemistry oozes from the pages, and their friends-to-lover's story takes your breath away. I loved the dynamic between these two leads and the way their attraction and relationship bloomed.

More Jade is light on the angst, heavy on the romance and an absolute delight to read. It is unique, addicting, compelling and utterly amazing. I adored every minute of this book and cannot say enough good things. It's a total winner and one that you need to read. I can't wait to see what's up next for Jade and Cruz!

Okay, first I want to start off by saying that the story does carry on into the next book, which I didn't know when I picked this up. Although I initially wasn't too psyched about this (I was really excited for their happy ending!!), I thought back to how, while reading, I was saying to myself 'I kinda wish they had more than one book because I need More Jade and Cruz' ;).
(Also, isn't that cover gorgeous?)

This was a pretty interesting read for me. Usually, the heroes in rock star romances I've read share the same background: they've finally made it big, but they're in it for the music and they're tired of the fame etc. - that kind of thing. In this book, the hero Cruz isn't all that passionate about music, and he's actually dreading making it big. But he does it for his brother, Lennon, who is actually passionate about music. That was one of the reasons I came to adore him as a character, but more than that, he is just. SO. SWEET! He was so understanding and respectful of Jade, and he wasn't just a cocky rock star. As Jade said

Cruz Winslow was beautiful on a regular day, but splash in a little vulnerability and the guy was even sexier.

As for Jade... I didn't love her as much as Cruz, but I did like her! There were some part where I cringed because of how naive she was, but I agree with what Cruz kept marvelling at throughout the book- she truly does appreciate everything. She has such a good support system, so many people that love her, but she loves them right back, and I couldn't imagine anyone better for Cruz. When she got so excited about Cruz's grade?? I knew I liked her. I also want to commend the author for keeping Jade so...consistent, I guess. At the start she was a little bit sassy, a little bit naive and a whole lot dedicated to studying. At the end she was still a little bit sassy, a little bit naive and a whole lot dedicated to studying...except some of the studying she was doing on dates with her boyfriend!

Now the romance!! At first I was scared that it was going to be an insta-love thing, based on their first meeting, but it wasn't (phew). I had visions of Cruz seeing Jade and thinking 'I need to make her mine' and starting pestering her, as well as them "running into each other" everywhere. Those things didn't happen, and the development of their relationship felt pretty natural. Sometimes I did have problems with their communication (aka I was frustrated as heck), but there were also times when things were resolved faster than I expected.

Overall, I would recommend this book, especially if you're looking for a rock star romance with something different.

📝 for the entire trilogy.

If The Deal is a rockstar-romance, it would be More Jade. The writing, the vibe, the characters remind me so much that book.
Softy and bad boy H Cruz is a mix of Garrett(The Deal's H) and Dean(The Score's H).
Smart, nerdy, sassy and sweet h Jade is a mix of Hannah(The Deal's h) and Grace(The Mistake's h).

I really love Ms Pavlov's writing style! I was hooked from book #1 to book #3 epilogue! I loved the dialogues, the wit, the humor, the drama, the angst, the fluff, the storyline, the characters and most especially, I love the MCs growth individually and as a couple.

This didn't feel like a trilogy cuz of the emotional rollercoaster ride.
Lots of drama esp book #2, something that's expected in a rockstar romance.
I swooned, I got irritated, I raged, I got frustrated, I cried from hurt, and I also shed some tears of joy.

The most important question is:
Like 99.9% of rockstar-romance, is there cheating between H Cruz and h Jade?
None. Hallelujah! 🙆🏻‍♀️
Well, there are ex-chicks, wannabe-ow and wannabe-om here and there BUT H and h are pretty much a safe couple. They did not sleep with OP even during their months of separation. Also, relentless H knows how to grovel! 😌

Slow burn, from strangers to best friends, lovers, soulmates, family, each other's person.

More Jade 4.5 stars.
The build up, the calm before the storm.
h's 1st yr in college, H's 3rd yr.

More Of You 5 stars.
The storm. Heavy, lots of drama and angst.
h's 2nd yr in college, LDR and lots of travels to be with H.
H's 4th yr college online class, band on tour, LDR with h.

More Of Us 5 stars.
The tail-end of the storm. The rainbow after the storm.
h's 3rd and final year in college, pre-med. Yes, she's smart and she made it in 3 yrs.
H's band on tour, a couple of college online classes.
Both graduates, H/h reconciliation and LDR, lots of family drama. Fluffy.
Adorable epilogue 10 years ahead.

I was contacted by the author to read & review, so thank you very much for my ARC. After reading the blurb I really got a good sense and liked it, sounded like something that I wanted to read. How do I begin this without sounding mean, but I am always truthful in my review's....so, the writing was phenomenal, the words flowed and transitioned...my issue was with the characters. Right off the bat you have the hero and heroine meet at a unconventional manner (i won't be doing any spoilers so don't worry) so after they meet, I knew this was something that I dislike reading. The characters are on their own written well but their actions and the way's screamed YA to me. If you know a little about me even I DO NOT READ YA or even close to it books, the actions of the 'younger' generation irritates me and although I fully understand what happens in college, just as a reader it takes away the romance aspect and I feel like I am reading about my little son who doesn't know what left from right.

That said, I really want to emphasize on the writing aspect because just from the blurb I was like, yes this sounds amazing. I just was not expecting younger characters that match the younger age action and generation, even though this was set in college. Just not something I enjoy reading, turns me off right away, the childish games and all. PERSONAL PREFERENCE doesn't mean that you won't like it, but for what I LIKE to read, this was not my cup of tea. I really appreciate the author reaching out to me, and I am sad that it did not work out. I was not able to finish the book, so also my first DNF of the year. Best of luck to the author!!

Jade is a freshman at Northwestern University. On her first day she walks in on her roommate almost giving Cruz, the H, a BJ. Cruz is a junior. He is the lead singer in the band that started small, but is getting more and more popular. Jade and Cruz share a biology class. Jade starts tutoring Cruz in biology. They start out as friends and then become more.
Bland characters. There was nothing that stood out about either of them.

The verbiage was simple. The writing was mediocre. I found myself skimming. The story was very predictable.

“It was pancakes on Sunday mornings and Friday movie nights.
Family gatherings, card games, and Monday night football
with Dad and his friends.”

More Jade is the story of what happens when an every day college freshman and an up and coming rockstar stumble into one another’s lives and then never let go.

Jade Moore is determined and always 100% okay staying in to study instead of hitting up The Dive to watch local band Exiled play like everyone else on campus.

Cruz Winslow is artistic and owns the sort of good looks most people would kill for. The one thing he doesn’t have? The ability to pass his Science class so he can be one step closer to a degree. A degree his father whole heartedly believes he won’t and doesn’t need because him, his brother, and band mates are going to be the next rock sensation.

And that’s how it happened...

Her eyes though — that’s what did me in.
They were jade green. Hell, maybe that was why they’d
named her Jade. Plump kissable lips,
and a small, rockin’ body.

Jade agrees to tutor Cruz and slowly over the course of sleepless nights and study sessions Cruz realizes that simply having Jade as a friend is not enough. He wants more laughs and more solo performances by the beach. He wants that beautiful heart and carefree spirit with him, by his side. He simply wants More Jade.

This isn’t your typical rockstar romance where the guy is impossible and arrogant who can sing and make all the girls swoon. This rockstar falls and falls hard, everything comes second to his girl including the band that is on the verge of signing with a label and a tour is on the horizon. In a beautiful coming of age tale Laura is able to bring two refreshing characters into roles that are otherwise stereotypical. Cruz and Jade have depth and unbelievable chemistry you can’t help but nod your head every time Cruz mutters,” I want More Jade.”

“Because when you admit what you want,
you have something to lose. You can’t lose anything if you don’t
care about it, right?”

Laura Pavlov managed to steal my heart with this college and rockstar romance combo. Jade and Cruz made me soft from the get go.

Cruz's life is already filled with all the glamour, fakeness and drugs of a rockstar life even before their band goes big, thanks to his father's money. His family is nothing like a typical family, they are the opposite of a loving supporting family and my heart broke for Cruz and all that he had to put up with for his brother and all that he is willing to give up for him too. Things are so complicated and I know the future will be even more so. Going on tour with two bandmates who easily get lost to the money and drug side of the rockstar life is bound to cause some ruckus and trouble. I'm scared of what the future will look like for Cruz.

Jade found the love of her life when she least expected it and everything is perfect until her boyfriend's band gets signed. Now, they won't get to spend so much time together. She'll be working on her degree while Cruz goes on to tour the country. I can't wait to see how they'll deal with the long distance and all the things that may arise on the way

This couple owned my heart. I adore them so much. Their first encounters were funny and Jade gave Cruz plenty of sass and I loved that about her. Jade is not your typical nerd or virgin heroine. She had so much sass, determination and strength in her. I love this girl. And Cruz is definitely not your typical arrogant, selfish rockstar either. He has so much heart and is so selfless. I flew in love with him. He was so sweet and the way he fell for Jade and was so soft for her. Swoon.

More Jade is the first book in a trilogy. It is not your typicaly rockstar romance but is just as good if not better. I simply cannot wait for book 2 and 3, I just need more of these two stat. I even tried to read this book slowly so I had more time with these characters, that's how much I adored them. I can't wait for more of Jade and Cruz and their friends too.

I love the way Laura tells a story. Her writing flows and you cant put the book down. I loved Jade, and I loved watching her develop as she got involved with Cruz. Loved him too - he’s that cocky rockstar, who wouldn’t?! I was pleasantly surprised by the drama. It kept things interesting & kept me flipping those eBook pages!

Cruz and Jade - a rockstar and a nerdy science girl - wouldn't seem like it would work but man it just does.

I almost can't explain it, there was just something about this book and these characters that drew me in and I couldn't stop.

I just kept wanting "more Jade." This endearment becomes such a central theme in this book and the ones that follow and it never gets old, never gets boring. When Cruz says it, you just kinda melt and believe it.

There are so many themes, moments, characters, and storylines running through this book but they all seamlessly weave together. It isn't hard to follow, instead it keeps it interesting and full of twists and turns. Katie calls it a book with everything but the kitchen sink thrown at the characters and that's honestly a pretty good way to describe it. I loved it!

This is a cliffhanger and you have to be ready to read all three books. It's a trilogy set up like one big book split into 3 little books but all of them are worth it to get to the ending.

More Jade, well I can't argue with Cruz Winslow here because I kinda of want more of Jade too, as much as I want more of Cruz as well!

This is book 1 in a trilogy so be forewarned with the subtle cliff hanger ending! But I promise you, you'll be craving more by the end and with all the books released its an easy binge!

Laura Pavlov was recommended to me by a book friend and as soon as I heard Rockstar Romance on the list it went. Surprisingly I ended up reading a few of Laura's earlier releases before hitting this story and well let me say that Laura's writing style is super addictive that I had no choice but to want to dedicate a month to binge her backlist. So here I am.

More Jade is a rockstar college romance, that is light, sweet and funny with emotion in the midst.

Jade Moore is starting college when she meets Cruz Winslow in a pretty compromised position. Not the best of first impressions but he grows on you and things do get forgiven.

As they have classes together and their worlds collide he can't seem to stop wanting to see her and she knows she shouldn't be around him as he's a few years older and well a rockstar but she can't help it either.

When they're together their sheilds are down and we see who they really are. Jade brings out the best in Cruz and all the layers beneath him show he's caring and sweet and really just wants a family and to be loved and cared for too. Jade can't help falling for that now, can she? I mean I did within a few pages.

Jade's amazing too she's focused and determined, little naieve but it adds to her charm. She's also strong and resillent to go for what she wants. It's those characteristics that make me see myself in her and makes Cruz fall in love with her. She's real.

There's stark contrast between both their lives and book 1 is a lot about them falling in love while dealing with the two worlds they come from colloiding. It ends pretty heavily emotionally but I loved that because if anything I'm itching to jump on book 2 more because I know that tease of emotion was only the beginning.

Laura Pavlov's writing is beautiful and sweet, it'll reel you in from the first page and have you begging for more by your last.

I bow down to Laura because this story is a masterpiece, unique and touching! Like I said to her, I could read the entire book with the characters just doing mundane things if that's what was there because her writing is just so amazing!

Onto book 2! I'm guessing I'll need tissues?

This was an incredibly sweet read. Jade is starting college on a scholarship. She is completely focused on achieving her goals and the best grades possible. Unfortunately her first experience of college is walking in on her new room mate going at it with Cruz. Cruz is a brilliant musician who doesn't see his future in music and is determined to finish college. His motivation is to protect his brother from the lifestyle of drink and drugs.

Jade is not Cruz's usual type but she gets under his skin. When he needs a tutor, he doesn't look too far. He needs more Jade. She likes him for him and shares his aspirations and encourages him. The trappings of fame are tough to avoid with in band rivalry, addiction and a dad who is pushing him into a music career over graduating.

This was an emotional roller-coaster of a ride and I loved his patience with Jade and hers with him. There is not a negative nor hurtful bone in her body. The story was a special one and there is still more to come from these two. I really enjoyed the writing here as the story flowed and weaved around these two characters and their journey together.

This was my first book by Laura, and I'm really excited to read more! This book was super cute and I found myself falling instantly for Cruz Winslow. Every time he said More Jade, I wanted to cry happy tears. That boy? Swoon. There were some super sweet moments in this book that made me giggle and feel all cuddly, warm inside. It was seriously adorable. But for me personally, it was hard to connect with the characters. I found myself losing interest at times & I can't give you an exact reason as to why, but I know that it happens sometimes with any book. I will say, don't let this deter you from reading because everyone's reading experience is different. I'm happy that towards the end, the plot twists that came about reeled me back in; they were honestly so heartbreaking and I needed to know EVERYTHING! I felt so much for Jade and Cruz. I'm excited to see where this story continues to go in book two. I NEED ANSWERS!!!!

Jade is a college student who is determined to do well in her classes and is close to her family. The first time she meets Cruz wasn’t under the best of circumstances so the one thing she does know is his reputation and she doesn’t need him disrupting her life.

Cruz comes from a wealthy background and he intends to enjoy the college life until the band he is part of makes it big. He has a reputation with the ladies but there is so much more to him than first appears and from the moment he saw her all he knew is that he wanted to see her again.

When they find themselves in the same class, he uses that as his opening to have her tutor him which leads to friendship and then love. When their lives force a physical distance between them they are determined that it won’t destroy what they have. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to see how the handle the obstacles that they will have to face.

Jade Moore wants nothing to do with trouble. She is extremely dedicated to her goals and takes her studies very seriously.
Cruz Winslow looks like trouble itself. He is part of the band Exiled and as the lead singer he finds himself surrounded by girls, booze and drugs.
When they meet, in a quite awkward situation, Jade wants to stay far away from him, but he’s not what she first thought.
I really liked both characters, they were funny in their own way, dedicated, kind and sweet. Cruz is definitely not what we expect, he’s so much more. Jade is super gentle and I love her relationship with her father.
Both of them had a tough past, but they managed to grow stronger.
I love the way their relationship developed, it felt natural.
The plot wasn’t at all what I expected when I began to read and that was really nice.
I can’t wait for the second book but honestly I’m terrified because usually in trilogies something happens in the second one and it’s not good. However, I do have faith that Laura will maintain the characters essence.

Cruz wants more Jade and all I want is more Cruz. Sorry, not sorry. 😜

Jade Moore and Cruz Winslow meet in some very interesting circumstances. I won’t say how they meet. It’s better you find that out for yourself, but let’s just say when they first met, I DID NOT think Cruz was her love interest because of the compromising situation she found him in. 🙈 When it finally dawned on me that Cruz was my new book boyfriend, I was shocked to say the least. But a good shocked. Promise! 😉

By the way, I should mention, I dove into this book blind so I literally didn’t know anything about this book other than the trope. That’s why I had no idea Cruz was her suitor to be, so that was a very nice and welcome surprise. 😏

Anyway, I digress. After I met Cruz, I fell for him rather quickly. I loved that he was super cheeky from day one. I'm a huge sucker for a cocky rockstar and Cruz is as cocky as they come but as cocky as he was, he was also really sweet and cared about Jade so much. 😭 My heart melted just reading about him and the things he did for Jade. He's just too perfect for words. *swoons*

I hope someday I meet my very own Cruz Winslow. He’s what dreams are made of. *insert all the heart eyes*

If you love a sweet romance that is low on steam and high on the sweet factor with some rockstar and typical relationship drama thrown into the mix, this book is for you. 😉

Overall, I give this sweet love story 4.5 jaded stars and I cannot wait for the next book in this series! I am dying to find out what happens next between Jade and Cruz. The next book cannot get here soon enough.

This was my second read from LP, and its getting better and better everytime. I really enjoyed exploring the start of Jade and Cruz's relationship. This is the trilogy, opposites attract, rock star romance. They start by being friends first which I really liked, but they know there is just something so big between them. While all this is going on, his band are on the cusps of getting signed majorly and touring everywhere.

I love how much he feels for More Jade. There are so many adorable elements which doesn't really "match" with the rock star but More Jade brings it out of him. This was such a good read and I cannot wait for the rest!!!!

I really enjoyed reading the start of this amazing relationship between Cruz and Jade. I fell in Love with Cruz instantly and Jade is a great heroine.

I already knew from reading the blurb that I would enjoy this story and I did. The characters are all so well written and you just can‘t do anythinf other than just love them and support them in everyway.

I liked that this book wasn‘t full of unnecessary drama but I‘m still hoping to get a little bit more in the next book. The aspect of her mothers journal is a really great idea and it helps to understand some of the thought process of Jade.

Honestly can‘t wait to read more from Jade and Cruz!

This is the 1st book in a trilogy from this talented author, and what an awesome beginning this story is. Jade is on the path to her dreams and future, while Cruz is the lead singer with an up and coming band. This is a unique and refreshingly humorous story which is not your typical Rockstar romance. I was hooked and intrigued throughout and cannot wait for the 2nd book. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

This was my first book from author Laura Pavlov and I really enjoyed it. I must admit, when you meet our hero for the first time you are not going to like him. In fact I was almost upset that he was the guy. But he will totally redeem himself and you will come to love him. I will read on in the series because I want to know what happens in the future for Jade and Cruz.

I won this book from the giveaways at Goodreads.com

My Thoughts: Jade is your typical good girl with a bright and exciting future ahead of her. After losing her mother at a young age, her father and herself have been tight-knit with a close bond. Jade is focused on becoming a doctor and is fearless in speaking her mind. Cruz comes from a rich Hollywood family filled with demons. He tries to solve everyone's problems, but he's slowly losing himself. The lead vocalist in the band with his friends and younger brother. He's intrigued with Jade from the start. He is use to women falling for him, she isn't one to fall for his charms and tells him how she sees it. These two have an instant connection. This book has heartbreak, angst, and spice. I could not put this book down.

I fell in love with Cruz and Jade and THEIR love! It's a rock star romance, but not in the way you're used to...there's a lot more to their story, and I cannot WAIT for the next book!

I really enjoyed this book. It had a YA feel to it but for me not being a YA, it was as a really great read. I have already downloaded the next book in this series.
