This book is not perfect by any means, tbh it has so many flaws, but I loved it. And here's why:
It is actually completely wholesome!
This is the sequel to "When she thaws" and while the first book dealt with a lot of meddling against each other, here the girls stand by each other's side, not always firmly, but they grow together. And this is the amazing part. This book is all about the girls overcoming all kinds of drama together. They fail sometimes, but they always come out stronger and more supportive. It's really nice to read about this bond that is gradually formed between them. At the beginning their relationship is rather fragile and their newfound motivations are still shacky. They are in love, but they still don't LOVE each other. And from this insecurity the relationship grows more and more into something fundamental, something heavy. Until it feels like those two would go through hell together and back.
Well as for the flaws... the writing could have been better, but I guess it did serve a teenage high school romance well. There were quite some editing errors, too. Also I didn't really like some parts of the plot (like the dungeon plot - a cringe and mediocre tip into the topic of bdsm, which is never mentioned again in the rest of the book), but overall... the general purpose that it all served in having the characters grow, made it up for me completely.
