I am your friendly neighborhood Sapphic romance writer, who has a knack for writing steamy romances, that also work as comfort reads. I know, a conundrum! But once you give my books a shot, you'll know what I mean!
I live in London, a few streets away from where Sherlock Holmes used to live, so... if I you find me taking too long to publish my next book, I am probably off with Mr. Holmes on an adventure.

Love the character growth

It took me a while to get through this, but I'm glad I kept going. The character growth in this, from the first book, was really great to read about. The storyline itself is also pretty good. This is definitely a YA type book. Wholesome characters, relatable drama/circumstances, high school love type of book.

the series is enjoyable but at times a little odd what a couple of 17 yr old girls get up to. I will leave it there. 4ish stars

This is a very entertaining book, definitely recommend both books. Loved the chemistry between Nat and Ashley, the spice is very good. I have no complaints but one. Why? Why does Mrs Hudson go back with the husband instead of staying with Emily!?? I honestly don’t get it, specially after Natalie said her mom is not in love with her dad anymore. I know they’re not the main characters here but c’mon 😓 so much potential for a second chance romance story

When Love Triumphs ❤️

OK- in the first book, it was mainly Ashley and Natalie against each other. After sorting out their rivalry and coming to terms with their feelings for each other, they end up together in the end.

In this book, it seems Ashley and Natalie are against everything else. They're drowning in a sea of toxicity, and its a challenge for their newfound love. So much drama for this poor couple ☹️...but have faith in the title! We learn quick that both girls are strong and resilient - even more so together.

Carries on seamlessly from the previous book. We follow Natalie and Ashley as their relationship progresses in parallel with their sporting ambitions. As with #1 a lot of heavy issues are covered so beware of triggers but it is good to see these issues out in the open.
The tone of this book is a little lighter than #1 as we see Natalie and Ashley's relationship grow and solidify. An epilog would have been nice but I guess you can't have everything

This book is not perfect by any means, tbh it has so many flaws, but I loved it. And here's why:

It is actually completely wholesome!

This is the sequel to "When she thaws" and while the first book dealt with a lot of meddling against each other, here the girls stand by each other's side, not always firmly, but they grow together. And this is the amazing part. This book is all about the girls overcoming all kinds of drama together. They fail sometimes, but they always come out stronger and more supportive. It's really nice to read about this bond that is gradually formed between them. At the beginning their relationship is rather fragile and their newfound motivations are still shacky. They are in love, but they still don't LOVE each other. And from this insecurity the relationship grows more and more into something fundamental, something heavy. Until it feels like those two would go through hell together and back.

Well as for the flaws... the writing could have been better, but I guess it did serve a teenage high school romance well. There were quite some editing errors, too. Also I didn't really like some parts of the plot (like the dungeon plot - a cringe and mediocre tip into the topic of bdsm, which is never mentioned again in the rest of the book), but overall... the general purpose that it all served in having the characters grow, made it up for me completely.

A Fun Read

I enjoyed this book but it felt a bit sterile in the writing at points. The dialog is good and I wanted to see what happened between Ashley and Natalie going forward but some of the edge seemed to be missing compared to the first book in this set.

Still, if you read the first book then I recommend reading the second book as well.

Excellent Read for. Sapphic Book

After the first one I couldn't stop reading It was Definitely a good series but I do believe they have some things to work on before talk of marriage happens but I can clearly see them together in the future whatever that may hold for the two of the girls personally id like a story about Emily and her finding love

does it ever go anywhere ??? just seems unfair how mrs hudson went back to that man after it took almost dying for him to fix himself

Second book in the series and more uncomfortable issues explored a very good compelling read bringing further depth into the characters I was looking forward to further reading with 85% on the kindle countdown when suddenly "THE END" No HEA no epilogue a bit disappointing.

Slightly better than the first, but still tough to read in terms of writing quality. The author seemed to wrap things up & come to settled conclusions multiple times as if the book was over. And tbh when I would see that there was more left, I groaned.

When Love Triumphs

What a great ending to a beautiful story! I absolutely loved the author’s ability to pull me in and make me feel like I was watching this book unfold. Definitely some of the author’s best work. I highly recommend reading these two books!

I greatly enjoyed the conflict and the resolution of said conflict in this book but I felt the ending was unsatisfactory.
